  1. Would it be better for me to bring a scrapper or tank?
(I'd prefer the blaster, but, well, can't be greedy ALL the time)
    I can/will have a twenty-three in either by monday, if desired (I have a 21 tank and a 21 scrapper, atm)

Edit: for that matter, it occurs to me I have a mindcontrol/emp troller who is 21 on the secondary account. Any of the three should be easy to get to 23 by Monday.
  2. What level ranges are next weeks?
If it is possible, I might bring along a tanker or scrapper, if that's preferred over a blaster.

Otherwise, I'll bring miah blasta (for ze badges)!

(and, I liked Bruce's Old Spice commercials, too. New appreciation for Old Spice, now)

Granted, there is probably some more stuff going on behind the scenes. It's evident from the letters that Requiem, the Center, and Arakhn have known eachother for quite a while, now.
The real question is... "how did Nemesis benefit from the 5th column losing, or was he behind breaking Reichsman out of prison to help nullify the Center-Council-5th Column-Nictus-factions, stop the time traveling, and generally have a ball in the eighteenth century (as no one puts on formals these days like he remembers them)?"

Nice job everybody! We steamrolled through once again. Now I just have to put some more enhancements in my Dwarf form. haha
He made it; Joe's team restarted to include him
We had an education from the... "younger" team mates as to what and whom jokes about an "Ash" character should belong: Army of Darkness or Pokemon.

I still contend that an Ash (AoD flavor) might count as a Freakshow. That is, once Bruce Cambell spouts some leetspeak.

Fairly certain this is the case, with the "5% bigger" type of arguement.
Although, I've found a reference to a "Massacre in Metropolis" wherein, apparently, the DC universe has a Metropolis, IL about the same size as the real-life equivalent and a misplaced villain named "Massacre." Apparently, he needed directions to the Metropolis where Superman resided, instead of the smallish town.
So... sorry Metropolis, IL, wikipedia notwithstanding.

...not one wit as far as I was ever able to tell. Well, their theater closed, and they have to drive to Paducah to see a Superman movie, but, not much has changed. Too bad it did not become the "western District of Columbia," it might have grown during the late nineteenth and early twentieth.
  7. I have 'em in my bios, too. Just had a random hair, that's all.

  10. Just a non-distinct data entry, basically.

Look, heroes in Paragon (and some villains) are well-known. Some have signature names, some have "private" names. My suggestion is this, keep the toon's name the signature or "stage" name for the toon. But, provide a secondary field (that is NOT distint) for a in-game non-heroic name. it would be nice to also have a toggle to determine if that name is known only to the police/registrars or known to everyone, but, here goes:

For example, my main's name is "Myrdinn" in game. It would be nice to assign him, oh, "John Smith" as his real-life name. If he is talking to something on his factional side, hero-to-hero or villain to villain, there would be a chance that the npc would use the "real" name instead of Myrdinn. Or, when contacts get to know you well, instead of "Myrdinn, go arrest ten thousand Nemesii from PI" he or she would say "Hey, John, can you knock down about ten thousand fake Nemesii from around here? Make the place a whole lot nicer. Less steam, you know. It's hot out."

However, this field is non-distinct... thus someone else (say, "the Grey Eye") could also have that "real" name... hate to be more restrictive on names than we already are.

The otherside (excepting Nemesis) would always still call the toon by their signature name. Thus, when camping down anything, when they do call out your name, it will still be the signature name. "Oh, noes! Myrdinn is here with the smakage-downage!" would still be shouted by Malta forces, when the sniper attack hits, for instance.
(Nemesis, of course, would know one's real name. The accepting of heroic names on registry cards IS, indeed, a part of a Nemesis plot. How else could he get all the heroes in one spot, after all... just make one city on the planet the only legal place to run around with a name that isn't one's legal name. Perfect bait. That's also why the heroic name is unique...)

It's just in poor taste. Now, if someone's spouting NDA violations, that goes away into the deep dark. But idle "hey, I saw this" seems to be fine with the mods.

In other words, no, this isn't Praetoria and the mods only have red names, not red eyes.
  13. Is the Incarnate origin only limited to Grecian dieties and only from the well? Or are there Incarnates from other pantheons?

A Nemesis world, is that our "steampunk" world option? (map was hitech when I visited)

Baca in some spoken Spanish variants.
  19. Just go with "baka."

Depending on the listener/reader, they will either think you are talking about a fool or a luggage rack.
  20. I, for one, object to Something Odiously Eternal being characterized as storm-trooperesque steel booted thugs kicking puppies.

They haven't had puppies for some time now.

Still a great time for an 8-man team - but just over 1.5 hrs.

BTW the fastest TF:Omega times were (as I recorded):
    Positron: 1h41 (101 min)
    Synapse: 1h33 (93 min)
    Sister P: 1h17 (77 min)
    Citadel: 1h07 (67 min)
    Manticore: 50 min
    Numina: have 1h20 (80min) listed

I noted that I'm slightly unsure about the Numina - I think it may be that it was c.1h20 but I missed the exact time. These were jotted down from the final results announcement (and the results board) at Omega Sektor.

Most of the times never got posted on the EU boards, and the Omega Sektor threads have long since been purged.

As a note to those who don't know of the challenge:
It was trying to play all TFC TFs within a 48(-ish) hour period at a weekend mini-convention. Each team had to be 7 or 8 members playing who were present (on the same characters) for all TFs (so no running Posi with just 3). All characters had to be a maximum of lvl15 for the 1st TF - so they had to be 10-15 for Posi.

As such, most TFs were also run with characters who were minimum level for the TF at it's start (so facing something like +5s). If a team thought it had time, it could rerun a TF and count it's fastest completion time - which I think was done by the winning team (mainly from Belgium iirc) when they reran Positron after completing Numina.

Because of the limitations on the challenge, including keeping the same team so no team was optimized for a single TF, other sizes/mixes/levels of teams should be able to beat many of these times (some, I suspect, with relative ease).
    Translation-
Posi *might* be able to be done within an hour and a half with a group of eight if and only if they are well stacked for the run.
    Likewise
    Syn 1:20
    SP: 1hr
    Citadel: :50-1hr
    Manty: :45-:50
    Num: ~1-1:15hr
Right? As the times above are "excellent players, maybe not the min-max AT top mix for a TF"
  23. O.o
Now my corr will be able to spawn fluffy before going into ambush scenarios for the loadwait.
  24. How about Lynx, one of the other Zillas, Opera, or Chrome?

Some of those are WinOS, but one or two (especially Lynx) are over on the 'Nixes.
