You will? *Readies bat*
Actually, I still haven't got the Devilfish badge yet, so I think I'm up for this too. If I can convince Days to come, I'll bring along a Rad Debuffer for handy, well erm, debuffs -

Whats the opposite of DOOOOOOOOOM?

MOOOOOOOOOD? -
But, those fear/repel Burn effect Redname posts have been through the Interwebnetic medium and therefore it is now safe to assume that all FIRE EFFECTS will no longer have fear.
Internet Forum Posts = THE LAW! -

Its just one of these rumour mill snowball effects that as always gets out of hand.

CITY OF X IS GOING TO BRING DOWN CIVILISATION AS WE KNOW IT AND TRANSFER CONTROL OF THE PLANET TO A RACE OF MONKEY FACED, DUNE BUGGY EATING LIZARD PEOPLE.
ARGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH
(Apologies for the shouting but I couldn't help it). -
Is this maybe to do with a previous comment at some indistinguishable point in the past regarding Burn in the Tank set which has the enemies running away due to the supposed fear they would have at being burnt alive, rather than an actual Fear effect?
-
Well done. Nice timing on the dings.
Gratz! -
Edit: Doh - misread the date. Nevermind.... will try to be there
-
Indeed. But I can understand the timeslip - after all, when the game launched, Paragon City had just issued its call to new heroes to come and bolster the ranks that had been lost in the war.
I wouldn't imagine them doing that for some time after it ended. -
Gratz Infy.
Sorry I couldn't make it. Hope it was fun. -
It's been over two years now. If you consider real time to be the same as COH time?
Only 5 years until we can get that Time Capsule to Hero 1 open then -
It always leaves a sour taste in my mouth when real events are interspliced with comics (I didn't particularly like the Marvel homage to September 11th).
Implied results of those attacks (such as the state of alerts seen in Metropolis in Superman:Birthright) are slightly better, but still leave me feeling a bit jaded.
I'm not saying that these events shouldn't be acknowledged, but given the world of COH/COV has already had to deal with a massive invasion which nearly decimated the entire planet, using real life events in game seems a tad redundant.
The world of COH/COV is a playground. We can add elements into it ourselves to make it more real life. Others can agree, or disagree. Life goes on. -

I tend to find Atlas is a lot quiter on Defiant than Union and the Pocket D is usualy always empty, I only ever go there to buy inspirations or for a short cut. But I suppose if you did it in the Pocket D our evil halfes could come and participate too.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which makes it a perfect place to hold an event, no?
Even if it is just for heroes, anyone who comes to watch from the villains side would work just as well.
If you're going to do it in Atlas Park then fair enough. Just seems to me that this kind of thing is what Pocket D was made for... -
[ QUOTE ]
Then there'd be no audience... just an occasional tumbleweed.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not sure an Atlas Park audience is a good idea anyway. Besides, every time I've been to an event in Pocket D, it's been bursting at the seams.
Oh wait, that was Union.... -
I'm in.... but wouldn't Pocket D be a far more sensible place than Atlas?

Steel Canyon, Independence Port, Brickstown, Crey's Folly all fell behind Cobalt and he finally stopped near the fallen Rikti spacecraft, flames and energy emerging from his hands. He knew it was futile, but he was not going down without a fight. Breathing hard, he turned around to face the Genie.

The idea of a TV show might be interesting...
*wombles for a moment while he thinks*
Hmm... something in the line of Through The Keyhole might be interesting... or One-Hundred Hottest Celebrity Bodies...
Yeah! Like Meta-Watch: The show where Paragon's finest star! Or Hideout: Footage obtained from inside our favorite hero's bases!
[/ QUOTE ]
Or possibly:
Look in awe! See the base! Wonder why no one is in it? Is rent too high for Paragon's Heroes?
All this and more on tonight's Watchdog! -
It was too soon; there was no way that the tribute was due so soon and so he leant further into his speed force and blasted through to the Steel Canyon underpass.
-
With a glance to ensure the way was clear, he burst into superspeed, throwing a scowling look at the flying heroes who were heading for the tramline.
-
A flock of pigeons flew past, and he looked up, just in time to see a horrific sight.
-
His eyes swept over the horizon, searching, yearning for the presence of the one creature that could satiate his desires.

I'd like to nominate:
bushbaby's COH/COV bag & Shivan
Ok, so I'm a bit biased, but on the other hand it is unlike most things on this thread, so points for originality must be given. -
bushbaby regularly teams with me as a fire/fire blaster, whilst I am an Ice/Trick Arrow Controller. I find the debuffs, slows and holds/knockdowns from both those sets allow her to fire off attacks with impunity.
Case in point - I took Aid Other as a powerpool at level 24, yet I think I've only used it once on her for the past 3 levels.
So, a single controller can be enough to save your bacon. -
