I checked out the site over the weekend, of course. It worked ok for me then... This morning I checked on it since people here said they were having problems. I could get there initially, but looking back it was probably cached versions. I just now tried to go there and couldn't find the site.

Me sad.

I haven't tried GameCam myself, but is this the same program that Storm_Knight recommends in his Demo Editing Guide ?

A lot of people who video capture from the game seem to like using FRAPS . It's free, but you can only capture 30 second clips at a time and it has the web link in the upper center of the screen... Unless you register it for $37.

Just watched it.. Looks good. Nice storyline. I'm not an expert, but the editing looked good.

One thing, though.. Did you intend to have the gui visible most of the time? It kind of distracted from the scenes, especially in the fight scenes where the targetting, nav, and chat windows were open.

To capture the video without the gui, add the parm '-disable2d' (without the quotes) to your run command for the demo.

But still, looks really good, especially for a first try.

Do you have more in the works? I have about a dozen songs and a score of little vignettes that I'd like to one day produce into videos. I keep spending all my extra time on the forum or in the game, though.

The obviously digital, almost airbrushed look just isn't comic book art to me. But then again I haven't actually read a comic book in about 10 years so I have no idea what the majority look like today. I personally always loved the painted graphic novels. Really neat stuff.

It's too bad you're not a fan of the newer, digital look of comics. The digital age has brought a whole new set of techniques to comics that can be quite spectacular when used properly. I agree that some attemps have failed miserably, but your drawing is quite good and would look impressive with strong digital colors.

I won't color it without your permission, but I'd like to try my hand at it to see what could happen.

Since you've already drawn one of my bad boys (Shinin), how about my defender, Warm Hands . He is an Emp/Psi, with emphasis on healing and buffing.

All through his childhodd he never seemed to get injured, even though he was just as active as all the other neighborhood boys. In fact, the other children never seemed to have any lasting scrapes or bruises.

One night his house was broken into by some thugs. They seriously injured his mother, and knocked him aside. He landed hard, hitting his head and losing conciousness. He awoke to paramedics treating him and carting off his mother on a stretcher. She died that night.

Since then he has committed himself to using his healing talents in the fight for justice.

That looks good, Cel... Good work on the perspective. The right arm looks a bit awkward, maybe should be more lateral across the chest rather than down.

But still, good work!
