I've also looked at the possible of 2 ST(DoT) attacks, 3 Cones, 3PBAoEs (with Burn), and a Cone Immobile. A basic collection of DoT attacks. The only thing I have to worry about is getting ahold of 3 Steadfast -KB IOs and I'm set.

Have you looked at Fire/Fire/Mako yet? 3 ST attacks, 3 Cones, 2 PBAoE (with Burn), and cone Immobile. Stack Fiery Embrace on top of that: 100% dmg for 30 seconds. That is alot of damage before you even get to the mobs. Cone immobilize them, fire off FE to Breath of Fire-Artic Spray-Bile Spray, then move in to finish them off with Blazing aura and ST attacks.
In case you die, pick up Rise of the Phoniex to keep on laying down the Fiery Doom Got mine to 30 so far...and the orange numbers is like watching an MMs pets go to work...Muha ha ha

The only big complaint I ever make is when a /energy def spends more time using energy torrent to knock them away from said tanker/scrapper then healing them.

I'm picking it up on my claws/Ninja stalker for the simple fact that its like a mini-God Mode without the crash. With 4 recharge/2 defense with Hasten, it's up every 32 secs and boost def by 30% to all.

I'm trying out a Electric / Fire Brute myself. On Mid's it doesn't look too bad. AoEs, cones, damage aura, build-up, and Firey Embrace...not too shabby. Add tough and Mu Patron for electric fences and burn is useful without having the mobs scatter to the 4 winds.
The biggest problem you'll have to deal with on Fire Aura is the lack of Immobile protection(unless you take Burn or combat jumping) and Knockback protection.

I fully understand the graphics part being mostly client side, but the big thing I was looking at was the powers and costume pieces. So much of those could of been thrown into CoX and silented a large amount of the player base for some time. I just don't want CoX in 5 years to turn into the disaster that became of Star Wars Galaxies for Sony Online once they focused more on EQ2.

Is it just me, or after seeing all the videos for Champions Online why couldn't any of the effects, energy, and time have been placed into CoX to kick the game up another notch? With all the advancements in graphics, power set ideas, and custom creations, I think it would have catapulted CoX into "the hero/sci-fi" game alot of people would be attracted to.
Don't get me wrong, I love CoX ... but with all the things seen for Champions Online, it would have silenced alot of the player base with their wants and desires.
Does anyone else have similar thoughts? or is it just me?

Let me try this again...it's basically only a re-skin of the MM's pets...nothing to do with changing powers of any sort. The same powers they currently have with new Skins to help create new concepts and such.

As to your reply ObscureGuy, if it is indeed a client-side fix/change...then is their a way to influence it without breaking the EULA. I had to give a specific example and get someone in trouble, but if you are on Villian-side on Virtue and have ever seen a toon by the name of: Baron Von Doffen. He has done an amazing job of creating a concept/look to fit within his 5th Column Mastermind.
I have seen him a couple of times, and always praise him for his unique look and concept. I just wish to give others the ability to create amazing unique characters that the population has been screaming for it would seem.

In response, I was only looking at their generaic appearance, not creating whole new powers for them. Only changing their look to different enemy mob appearance. For the RP community, this might be a huge leap in background stories/concepts.
As one other people has said, it might be client side to see different appearances for each pet.
One your last question ToxicEel, the powers the pets have already will be the same, I was just thinking of changing general appearance as a whole. So for example, if you have a Merc Primary and you choose to have Malta pets...then just the appearance of pets would change...not the powers.

The reason behind the CoT was the fact that in the Ninja set...the tier 3 pet casts spells, AoEs, etc...KoA do not. As for any of the PPD...well Masterminds are a Villian AT, so the idea involved Villianous enemy types.
Like durning the Halloween event, we were able this year to collect costumes, maybe we could use this to our advantage. Do we know if the programming or idea behind that would work for this idea?
As for the power customization, I was speaking about another that person who makes a Mastermind might not want bow attacks on his Ninja, maybe he wants dark blasts or something else. So it had nothing to do with colors what so ever.

Was thinking about the Idea of pet customization the other day as I prepare for the next Issue, and had a thought...instead of being able to customize your pets, which has been shot down to good reason I think, how about like our ability to customize weapons...we do the same with pets?
Something like being able to change your pets look as a particular theme/enemy group.,giving between 3-4 choices per Primary set.

For example:
Robot Primary - Malta, 5th Column, Council
Mercenaries - 5th Column, Goldbricker, Sky Raiders
Thugs - Hellions, Skulls, Carnival of Shadows
Necromany - the group in Dark Astoria, zombie invasions
Ninjas - Circle of Thorns, Knives of Artemis, etc

Using existing models and just changing the pets appearance, it'll allow for more theme/concept ideas and prevent it being abused my less than mature individuals. Just another QoL idea that would seperate and give uniqueness to each individual Mastermind. Any thoughts? Also to plug another individuals idea that had something similar but with the Mastermind's primary attacks sets. Shameless plugging, but he had a good idea.

I completely agree...this is about the worst event so far to day for me. If it doesn't kick me off the game every 4-6 missions...then it takes me 30 minutes to get into Virtue and 30 minutes to play. Great job on anticapation of your server capacities Devs, just outstanding. It isn't tough to figure out which 2-3 server are most likely to have the most players and triple or more the capacity of those servers. So far this weekend is turning into a basic everyday weekend amount of exp. God help you if you want to transfer or switch toons at anytime.

I gave them all the necessary info to verify who I am...do you remember the serial code from when you opened your account? If it was as simple as me not remembering simple information, then I wouldn't have bothered post...I just would have blown it off. It's like keeping a receipt from Wal-Mart for over 2 years because you might return that toast if you really get desperate...lol

I've gone round and round trying to get an account which I started 2 years ago with a 14-day pass to hopefully play during this weekend. I was asked some security questions that I didn't have the answer to...like: what is the serial number to start the pass was. Well hell, I don't keep receipt pass a week, maybe...and i'm suppose to have have kept a 14-day pass serial number from 2 years ago, good luck.
I have gotten to the point where I am seriously thinking about canceling my subscription over it, I mean...they are busting my chops over a 14-day pas that will only be active for 2 days now. I mean, come on...this isn't rocket science. If this is what I can expect from Customer Service, then fire the lot of them. Just my opinion, but I'm entitled to it. Well see after I check for the next e-mail how I feel after that one.

This would be great if the Account Support would actually "help" you in getting your reactivated account online. I've had to go through 3 e-mails to try and verify who I am and still can't get the account activated for 3 stinking day. If this is what NCsoft calls service, then thank god it's only 14.99 a month.
By the time they decide to activate this account, which is directly linked my main game account, the weekend will be over with. If you got your accounts reactivated...Gratz to you...I now see why alot of players went to WoW over these issues.
