We are interested that is why we started the PVP division

I heard that there is a possible Base Raid event going on in The Test Server, anyone know anything about that?

Other problem is we've spent more time out of the country than in and we have some other RL family issues happening right now that may take up some of our extra time.

All I can say is WOW.......no complaints here. I'll end up with 5 slots and my husband with 6 with the launch of Issue 12. Guess no more having to move characters. Very very cool. And the pricing for additional slots is very affordable and reasonably priced IMHO.

GvE pack came with Pocket D pass, Jet Pak, and a badge if you just bought the add on.

CoH DVD Collector's Edition came with one HeroClix, prestige power slide, and exclusive 16 page comic book and a badge. It also came with the game and 30 days of play.

CoV DVD Collector's edition came with The Arachnos insignia for chest and cape. It also came with a art collection book from both sides of the law. It came with 7 HeroClix and also a badge. It also came with the game and 30 days play.


So let's clarify, the cool extras we paid for had far more for what they were asking for them than what they are offering us now.

That is 90% of everyone's beef with it. Cut the price down to a more reasonable one. If it had any type of power attached to it I would have spent the money on it in a heartbeat. I loved the idea of a temp teleport power that was called "Get me to the church on time".

I saw the wedding outfit, to be honest and no offense Jay I was not that impressed. It is the same costume with a lace overlay pattern on it. And to be honest I'm glad I decided not to buy it.

The Divorce Pack, however, does have a perm-temp power, a pet that spawns the moment you log in and cannot be dismissed called "Your Lawyer." He has several postures "gettign paid", "on retainer" and "actively pursuing the case"). These postures don't actually change anythign but how he stands around behind you and his NPC chatter. He follows you around and subtracts 30% of all your influence and prestige earnings, takes every third drop and says things like 'wow, that guy assaulted you, we should sue" but otherwise doesn't really do anything. Once every 3 months, he does "sue" some baddies and that opens up the "go to trial" missions, where you sit in a courtroom for 3 or 4 hours for weeks at a time. These are timed missions, and if you leave or decide not to run them or cannot get to the mission before the special "time to mission start" timer runs out, you fail and are held in contempt, costing you some influence and XP. You have to do these missions for about a month. Two years later, the case does get settled and the appeal missions are done and you get a massive influence award, which the lawyer pet divies up to legal fees and his charges, leaving you with about 10 influence.

Now that's a value pack for 10 bucks, costumes ("Good Suit/Dress" options, wooden barrel costume), temp power, emotes ("Anger while on the phone," "looking over legal briefs," "testify," and "write large check to lawyer") and special missions with two or more arcs (trial, and several appeal processes).

It's the cost of the pack that we are upset with. If it had relatively the same options that the GvE pack had it we'd have not problem with it.

Drop the price to $4.99 that seems more appropriate. Positron said he wouldn't add a badge to it because he felt there would be outcry from those who are badge addicts. So instead he went after the clothes addicts. He agreed to the word extortion, go back and read his response to the person that brought it up.

Because they offered 2 powers (pocket d pass and jet pak) with the justice armor and sinister costume pieces. And if you didn't own or play the game before this you only had to buy one game and not two. Most of us had already paid for 2 games. But had no problem paying the $9.99 for the extra goodies.

This is giving just a few extra costume pieces. No powers or anything added in game. Sorry until they add something all they are doing is EXTORTING money from the clothes addicts out there. Had their been a badge attached to this then it would have been EXTORTING money from the badge addicts out there.

Positron himself said that this was the reason he didn't add a badge to the pack.

I have two accounts. I pay NCSoft $360 a year. If you raised the monthly subscription to $20 a month, I'd pay the extra $120 without blinking. I bought two GvE packages for $20 because it was worth it.

I am severely disappointed in the Valentine Pack. It is not worth $10. It is barely worth $3. Not because the artwork isn't spectacular, it is. But because I expect that artwork for the $360 a year I already pay you. This pack is nowhere near commensurate with the GvE pack.

Also, I do not want to send the message that I'll buy anything you sell. Make it worth real cash, and I'll buy it.

And now, with a heavy sigh, I must bring up again a recurring complaint of mine when I point out that the choice of costumes exhibits your inherent sexism in approaching the game. Wedding. Great. I have to totally agree with you. We bought the Good Verses Evil pack for all 5 of my husband and my accts. It had some great benefits. The pocket D pass, jump pak, costume pieces and the ability to only have to buy one game not both. However, we purchased the 9.99 option of that. I would gladly pay that if this expansion had something in it other than costume pieces and 4 lousy emotes.

Add a temp travel power to it that is accessible at lvl 1 and I'll spend $9.99 for it.

Until then I'm asking for people to boycott purchasing this.

If you don't buy it then perhaps they will either lower the price or just put it in for free. This happened when they said they were going to charge a fee for Issue 9, many protested and they decided not to.

I'm already paying $900 a year to play this game (omg I never realized how much it was until i just said that, lol) I don't think asking them to not charge for costumes is asking too much. We got a Valentine's day outfit in the past. Make them costume drops that only drop now. Do something. I think this is ridiculous.

For those of us with multiple accts, we have 5 that adds up to $50. Seems like a lot for just some costume pieces, however nice they might be. If it had a power in it like the pocket d pass was in the good vs evil it might be worth spending $50. So for now i'd have to pass.

Why do they have to make cool costumes cost stuff.

Seriously I have to agree with DJ here. I think Lighthouse needs to be more specific. Yes there have always been constraints on server population meaning if the server population reaches X then the server will be grayed out. However he is stating that if the Devs feel that a server is stressed out they will manually lock it. Exactly what constitutes this stress. I think you OWE us an answer. We are after all paying to play this game.

So in other words Lighthouse your admitting that your server upgrades were not adequate.

I can't even begin to tell you how upset i was the first day after i had done the mish's for that piece. I went to the tailor all happy about getting my new hairstyle (it looks really really cool i think). And i get there and put it on only to discover a huge bald spot (my toon uses the intellectual head). I was crushed, sent a bug report, grumbled about it big time in Radio Freedom and Inf Badge seekers only to see some toon sporting my new doo and no bald spot. Now i'm really ticked until she tells me its my head size and if i go into properties and adjust cranium it should close the spot. So i do, i'm all happy again until i realize that i'm out of free costumes changes and to close that bald spot cost me a hefty 1.5mill influence. Gee thanks NC Soft Hoping a red name sees this and gives me my money back, doubtful but one can always hope.

And how is this supposed to help with my damage or my heal or any of my other powers that i have 5 slotted with damage and 1 accuracy. Do us a favor, don't inact ED. I have little damage to begin with and run out end so i need six slotted health and stamina and conserve power as well. Gee thanks for the after thought. There is one thing that no one has brought up. People should really be thinking about how game play is going to be affected by the sharing of servers by both CoH and CoV. You think the lag is bad enough in most cases without anyone else playing and now your going to add a totally new game to the same servers. Are you piggybacking servers on top of the servers we have now????? Otherwise those who actually play CoH for the first two weeks of release of CoV will be in Lag City instead of Paragon City.
