  1. There are no known moving map objects that allow you to stand on them at this time. Making vehicles work would require them to get over this hurdle

  3. I would like a chest decal of a piece of toast. I'm planning on making a bread/carb based villain or hero and it just can't happen without a hulking slice of toast painted over my manly chest.

    I understand that the other animations may not exist. I'm just one of the people who would be satisfied with only one type of walk at all.

    They are able to do things in the videos that they can not do in game. Why do people think that a group pf graphic artists and game developers are unable to manipulate a short video enough that it's basically nothing but a short bit of animation?

    Copied myself to Architect as an enemy group. Got beat up by a bunch of little mes, and guess what they did after that?

    They walked!

    A player character model, walking!

    See for yourself, copy a variety of characters over to MA and drop them into a mission, especially shields characters. I'm sending footage of what I did to youtube.

They will find any excuse for my beating them - anything from "you used inspirations!" to "I can't hit you if you're hopping around" or "WTF are you using your ranged attacks for, you're a Scrapper!"     People yell at my Dark Melee/Regen all the time and constantly throw expletives at me when I have to jump around because they just lopped off 60% of my health with some cheesy burst gimmick and healing decay got to me.

    They tell me "stand and fight, wimp!'

    Oh, really? First few times I took great care through PMs to explain that regen does not fight like a resistance set. Now I just ignore it.
  8. I had no problem with enhancement diversification. Then again, I was subbed a year ago so I missed that.

    I don't think they necessarily messed the entirety of PvP up, I just think they globalized too many things, which instead of making things equal-opportunity, shuffled the viability around. In the end, people are still upset, but it's a different assortment this time.

    You know what, I was wrong...we actually need 15-90 animations

    Walk forward
    Walk backward
    Walk Strafe-Left
    Walk Strafe-Right
    Stop walking, transition back to ready

    Times 3 for each body type: male, female, and huge

    Times 6 for the various 'modes' to both cover the different hand/arm positions and to properly transition back into the appropriate 'ready' stance when you stop walking: Ready, Combat Ready, Weapon Ready, Dual Ready (used by katana and archery as well), 'Shotgun' Ready, and Shield Ready

    15-90 animations needed to do a 'walk button'. (Or 105 if we wanted to accomodate the two-handed club stance as well.)

    I take it you are animating all the vertexes at once rather than in select groups by choice when designing animations of any kind? Or do you do a little of both? Or maybe you're not allowed to fire off multiple animations per actor using this engine?

    Because without access to the servers, you can't play *any* content at all?

    They are not "giving the playerbase 100% content and creative control." The IP, the official storylines, etc. are still in NC's control. This is *something extra to play with.*

    I agree that it will be soemthing to play with.

    The fear is that such a powerful tool results in the end of creative obligation on their part and a drying up of storytelling opportunities. We, the players will close doors on any potentially original story arc from NCNC.
    They'll throw something out there and the crowd will cite a previously created arc that a player made and we'll shout in unison "seen it." And let me tell you those are some horrible words to see when your job is to keep things fresh in the story department.
    You can't just give it all away. People will gorge themselves, and nothing will be left.

    Different currencies for different things. It's the equivalent to a reputations system.

    I don't see how anyone can be so surprised or even bitter at the emergence of a new currency specific to the content area.
