Quote:I'd love to see some binds or maybe some xpadder profiles. Maybe I'll make one.Resurrecting a thread is only stupid when the info is outdated and no longer valid. In regards to using controllers, everything in this thread still works. AND it's not like there are very many threads out there about xbox controllers, so your point is moot and your post is useless.
Then it would be AWESOME thread necromancy. Like a zombie thread that could fly and shoot eye lasers. -
So this is where my Elec/Invuln is atm.
Lightning clap and Unstoppable are completely ditchable (it's a word) and changing my epic is also on the table.
I'm basically looking for some streamlining. This build need to be survivable and deal lots of damage.

Quote:If you have to put ANY money down to receive it then it's not free.First off. This is a hybrid model, not pure F2P.
Secondly, 80% of those 'micro-transactions' are available to VIP members for FREE. Plus, VIP members get an allowance of 400 - 550 points to spend on the other 20%, for FREE.
So far, with my free points, and my 15 bucks a month (as in, my normal subscription fee) I've been able to buy everything i want out of the market.
While farmers may help bring in supply to the in game market, they aren't the only driving force, and AE farming actually takes AWAY from the in game market, due to not providing any 'normal' salvage drops. You CANNOT get reliable uncommon salvage drops from tickets, and your not getting a lot of the 'junk' recipes from tickets either. AE was never meant for farming.
Itrials on the other hand, provide both inf, normal salvage, normal recipes, and a means to progress your character, which AE doesn't provide.
Oh, the lastly, downtime is required for a stable game environment. Obviously you were here for the beginning, where we had downtime almost DAILY, if you got more then 2 hours playtime over the weekend that wasn't flooded with lag, you were lucky. The game changes, things improve, and all of it requires taking the servers down. Get over it.
You know and to add to this. Beam Rifle costs 800 points. Two times the 'free' points. You HAVE to buy something you would have gotten 'free' in ANY OTHER ISSUE EVER if you want to use it. -
Quote:Precisely.Not so much.
There is a quote form somewhere I can't remember (some TV show) that fits this bill perfectly.
"People do not get upset when things go wrong in their life.
People get upset when their expectations aren't met."
If the server migration / hardware upgrade had been announced, say a week, in advance - and the majority of players knew about it - then there would be far less complaining.
Those that would be complaining, would be the ones who were still expecting the servers to be up. -
-
Well Paragon better get him his points quick before he gets caught in an infinite compensation loop and bankrupts Paragon. They're making those points out of real money, right?

Quote:All I got out of this was 'cause I said so' and honestly I think you are.Never said it would hurt me. Just that the grasping nature of some of the individuals here was offensive.
I'm not ranting. That you can label it such means that you simply aren't able to look at what I've said objectively.
If it doesn't make any sense to you, again, it means you're not looking at it objectively.
That you think what I've said here constitutes abuse reinforces it.
I'd suggest taking a few nice, deep breaths, and coming back to this in a week or two. Then see how offensive it looks to you.
Right now I have no further desire to attempt debate with someone who's hell-bent on ignoring anything I actually say in a frothing attempt to label me as "the bad guy" here.
Also I don't think YOU understand what you've been saying or how it comes across not the other way around. -
Quote:I'm sorry but you're evil and the EULA is the one true law. All hail it.I'm an oceanic player and I can barely play the game this month with this much maintenance going on.
I'm aware of that and I don't expect some form of compensation but from a customer service perspective, it sure would be nice for them to do so.
At the end of the day, it depends on how each player feels about service that they are paying for. If they feel they aren't getting what they want or the treatment they deserve they will vote with their money.
Brandishing the EULA in their face is simply counterproductive. People may grudgingly accept it but they may not be happy about how its handled.
That was sarcasm, just to be extra clear. -

Quote:Ah-ha! That sounds like a yes.You can't pseudo dissect my schtick while I'm pseudo dissecting your schtick.
At this point, your posts are getting dangerously close to becoming the forum equivalent of dividing by zero.
Let me direct you to one of my 'Blah blah blah' posts... -
Quote:Bummer I gave you to much credit. I was impressed too.I think you missed my point with the "figurative" myself in that post.
What I'm saying is: the horrible Taser impersonation continues.
No metaphor or analogy there.
So, you're just going to continue on in this vein I'm assuming? With the increasingly weak sarcastic pseudo self mockery thing? -
Quote:So explain to me, apart from having nothing to complain about atm, how this would hurt you? Be offended. Please. You don't make any sense and you're ranting is pointless bordering on abusive and doesn't fix anything not to mention, again, it would literally do NOTHING to you to try to make some of these people feel less tread on.Honestly, if they're going to complain, they should take it up with customer support. I agree that their complaint is valid. It sucks for them. I'm merely pointing out that they really don't have a foot to stand on for making demands.
And the whole "complain to make them give us something to go away" mentality is, for me at least, offensive.
If PARAGON, however, feels THEY need to make recompense, fine. -

Quote:I really don't. But it WAS amusing.See, it's like your post was a tool shed. Except the point you were trying to make was a ride on lawn mower. Somewhere along the way, when the tool shed was made, they assumed the owner would want the door up off the ground.
So now there's no way to get the lawn mower IN the shed without some sort of ramp system or a very very sturdy piece of plywood.
But there's also termites.
Know what I'm saying? -
Quote:Ah, I get it, I admitted no such thing I just stopped responding to those two who I personally felt had nothing to contribute, period. Then I went and watched Thor. Did you see it? It seemed kind of rushed and lackluster. And I maintain my analogies make perfect sense. 'Picked apart' or not.Just in time for Halloween: How to be Friggin' Taser in 4 Easy Steps:
1. Pick the side of the argument that would incite the most response
2. Post some hyperbolic analogy you know doesn't make sense so others can pick it apart and you can, in turn, respond to them with more analogies.
3. ...
4. Profit.
You messed up somewhere around step 3 where, instead of responding to people with verbose rants full of off the wall analogies and metaphors that really don't mean anything, you just started with the "blah blah blah" nonsense. That's like admitting troll-defeat.
Keep training, kid, and one day you might make Nationals.
As a side note getting off on people feeling cheated is disgusting. Seriously. -

Quote:Chocolate waterfall?Oh, i quite agree. While i would not object to Paragon Studios doing something for us in compensation for the aggravation it has caused many players i don't have any particular demands of my own.
Well, i would ask that they don't bring back the pirate costume offer. That would annoy me. A lot.
Implementing Carp Melee and Carp Armor would be acceptable.
i know. Aside from not having a Great Glass Elevator i'm rather comfortable with that.
