  1. if this thread has been an eye opening experience. You now understand what all those NPCs walking around you in RL meant all these months.     As far as the analysis goes, thanks. I havent even played a single mish with this toon yet so I have no experience with it. I will actually play the toon for a while and think of a build then. (I know crazy right?)
  3. This is a build for a theme toon I am working on. Basically he is a guy in a bug suit that flies around kicking people. lol...I did not reach the softcap which I thought was odd but my playstyle is one of INSP crunching so I dont mind relying on purples. Flight is a big deal for this build. Something else is I have A LOT of attacks in this build. I am curious if thats really necessary. Well here is the build, please tear it apart if you like but remember I want flight in hover as fast as possible without gimping the rest of the build.

  6. Hey guys, I have been looking at creating a MM for a little while now and really would like to use Trick Arrow as my secondary. I am looking at Ninjas as my primary but have a question. For personal reasons I do not wish to take Oni on my toon.

    Question: Will a Ninjas/TA MM be usable and powerful enuff to enjoy without Oni or does skipping Oni completely gimp the character?

    So what I am gathering is that as a mind troller i will be most suited to taking on medium to large mobs of Lts & Minions? I guess i misunderstood the set. I am not upset or discouraged by this just surprised. Well I am curious then. What amount of defence can i get away with if i build for recharge and get my controls up as much as possible for soloing? Should I still try to cap ranged? Mind you the toon is still level 11 so this is a ways off lol. Thank you all for the input so far and any to come.

    Since I was stuck on my wife's laptop for the evening, I wasn't able to log in and play. That's ok as it gave me time to work on a build for my new main. Lord Mesmer is a Mind/FF controller. I am hoping to accomplish a few things with this build. If I do not please let me know I dont and why not.

  15. Hello Everyone!

    A thought occured to me today. Its something I have wondered about before. I am ready to start fleshing out the idea. However, I would like to open the discussion up to you all. I am looking to take advantage of your insights and experience.

    I have had various friends remark on the lack of storage space in their SG bases. As SGs get larger, personal storage takes a backseat to serving the needs of the group. I have even opened my base up from time to time and allowed ones to use a rack or two for a period of time. Smaller SGs may not experience this problem as much but then might lack the Prestige earning capacity to support every players storage needs. (Though to be honest this might be a far rarer problem) There might be other issues and I may be inflating the ones listed. I don't know. So I come to you fine folks.

    My idea is to open a Supergroup devoted to providing personal apartments with storage space for players that do not have such. For a monthly fee(INF not RL funds of course) they will have their own room and base editing rights to make it fit their own style. Obviously, the more storage space they require the higher the fee. There will be a one time Downpayment relative the roomsize they request. (One idea I had is they can earn this downpayment back by referring other players to the service)

    Please tell me what you think. Is there a sufficient NEED or Desire to sustain this type of project? If so, what other ideas would you like implemented?

  17. I am currently leveling a BS/SD scrapper and am at the point of starting to look at builds. One thing I have noticed is that in many of my builds to cap Defense I am being forced to choose sets that do not hit the ED cap on damage for the individual powers. I am wondering for all you math gurus out there...

    How far do you chase Set bonuses to the detriment of the individual powers?
  18. Hamdon III was born tonight. I love the costume. All purple with blue, green, and yellow Mitos all over him. PFF and my big bubbles serve as my plasm. Beautiful. Anyways, I am far off from this build as I am only level 13 atm. Its never to early to start buying though. So what do you think?

    As of 11:17pm Eastern Standard Time, Guardian server witnessed the rise of its newest multi-billionaire. Storm Rider(my Storm/sonic defender) hit the INF cap!!! This is the first time I have been able to accomplish this since I started playing. I am almost 3 years in. Needless to say I am quite excited hehe. I would post a picture but I A.) dont know how to post a pic and B.) dont know how to take a screenshot with the WW window in the image.

    Thank you to all those who have helped me understand that I didnt have to like a life of poverty. There were ways to rise obove the obscurity.
  22. I am working my way through the characters on my favorite show, Doctor Who, trying to make toons based on them. I currently have a Doctor(Kinetic Melee--colored green to represent his sonic screwdriver--/Regeneration Scrapper, a River Song(DP/Mental Blaster), Rory the Roman(Broadsword/shield scrapper though I may reroll as a tank hmm), and even a "Silence" toon(Mind/elec Dom). The problem I am having is rolling up an Amy Pond toon. I cant seem to decide on even an AT for her let alone powers. So guardianites, what have you got for me this time?

    I have rolled a Mind/TA and have begun running the Hollows arcs. Its playstyle seems very different from many of the toons I have played before and that it what drew me to the toon. I tend to play very AoE centric toons. This seems to focus mostly on ST control/damage. I guess what I am asking is what role will a mind/TA controller play in the game as it is now. In this world of Incarnate trials, fast moving steam roller teams, and a need(???) for hard control where does the Mind controller with its soft control in Sleep and terror with ST hold and Knockup mitigation fit in? TA confuses me even more. I am sure that as I play the toon more I will learn more but what will all of you expect from me?
