This rocks. *cracks knuckles*

Thanks, Soul Train!
Good point on the "X things to do". I'll fold that in. I've gotten a number of useful critiques and observations. Its definitely better than my first attempt. The Architect is a powerful tool - which means there's a lot of ways to go wrong, and a lot of little nuances to learn

Thank you. I'm looking forward to the feedback. So far it's working pretty well. I tried to make the MA jump through some hoops to tell a story.
Its all a Nemesis plot (of course). -
For those of you who have checked out my art gallery in the past, I thought I'd mention that I've put up a arc about Nike IX's origins on the test server (and strangely, the evolution of her costume). It's 3 missions long - I'll include a final mission once Issue 14 goes live. I'm still learning to use the tools, so pardon the mess
.
The arc is called Nike IX: Taking Flight and is published under the chat handle Dragon Pearl. -
Hmm. A cunning new plan is forming...
Step 1. Become Redname.
Step 2. ???
Step 3. Collect Fan Art.

For most of my characters I just whip up a simple style sheet like these here. Thats just a few minutes in the tailor snapping pictures and 15-30 stitching it together in photoshop. The advantage of working from the taior is consistent angle, distance, and lighting. You may find that hitting the "save costume" button before taking each screen shot will help clear out the clutter from the UI. Also be sure to have your graphics cranked up to the maximum character detail that won't split your computer in half :P. You can turn off "plays like power-point" mode after you're done.
Most artists are already well trained in anatomy, so you're primarily looking to show them the elements of the costume. Possibly one action pose if it conveys something particular about the character's personality of physical presence. Sometimes I include an inset detail shot for things that need a higher level of attention. (chest emblem, tatoo, weapon).
For high priority characters I ussually make a page grouping the style sheet with a face shot. Various celebrity morph sites + a little patience with photoshop to clean things up can give you a unique but natural looking face. Throw in a couple of pictures of the character using their powers and you're good to go. -
I suggest taking the white on the thighs down one step, then putting the blend pattern on the boots and bringing it back up to fully white at the botton. Or leaving the thighs as is but blending down a shade or two at the feet - either way will give the eye a little more variation to roam over. Clean design overall. I like it

I'm pleased. The tight pencils are cheap enough I might send a few of my other characters over to pose. Worked out well for Nike - I'd been meaning to add a little more B&W to my gallery

If you have access to it, expeiement with the Valkyrie gloves - the pattern on the back of the hands looks very much like stuby (porcine) cloven hooves. I also agree that the monsterous cloven hooves legs would be worth looking at. Alas, there is no little corckscrew tail option. He'd be unmistakably 'pork' if you could go there

I like the bold use of shadow durring the inking. There is some strong work here. I look forward to seeing more.

Happy Birthday!

I generally look forward to a 2 month turn around time. Most Artists I approach have multiple projects underway and cannont reasonably be expected to drop everything on my account. They also need to not get tied up on my project too long so I try to give a few concise comments in 1-2 waves and call it done. With just a little periodic contact I've been quite content to wait a year, often because I have other art projects that keep me amused or require my attention. I simply am not in a rush so if they need to hold off briefly before they can give my project their full attention and let me know what's up, everyone walks away happy.

I am apparently very lonely on Champion.

There's a new sticky at the top of the boards admonishing us all not to use a costume piece they accidentally sent to the LIVE servers that I never would have noticed without that sticky. You're looking at the guts of a self-fulfiling prophecy right there.
Its an option under baggy tops at the moment. With a little cajoling I got the tailor to display the witch leather hips piece also (it wraps a bat around your butt - trashy looking IMO). Yes, I took screen shots, but I suspect I shouldn't post them here.
