    My mistake then. I have been watching it on the market for about a week and the average has been 600M to 750M. Obviously, I'm not watching it 24/7 so I'm sure a few slipped through that I never saw. I based my asking price after what I thought was average market value.

    How's respec work when you're incarnate slotted? I've never done it. Are you locked in?

    This is the best explanation yet. I'm starting to understand. I mean, I understand staying current with Issue updates. I even understand squeezing the last bit of uberness out of a build.

    I just didn't get the "I wonder if" scenarios. I always just looked at the numbers in Mids. The reason is, in my experience, I don't really find a play difference between 5-slotting a power and 6-slotting. Sometimes the set bonus ups some defense here or there, but I got the same effect with popping purples.

    So, I always choose powers based on how I want to play it, then slot it out based on the numbers. I never really "wondered if" -- I just started beating up bad guys.

    Yup, definitely missing the point.

    respec = changing your character.

    If you love your character, then you don't want to change it.

    So, either you aren't actually changing anything when you respec, or you don't love your characters the way you think you do.

    Personally, when I feel like I need to change the toon over and over and over again, it means that I don't really like the build I'm running.

    Time to stop that and think about the play-style that motivates you. Then, pick your powers based on that play-style. If you like your powers, the slotting and minute efficiency gains are going to take a back seat to having fun by actually playing the character.

    I have a level 43 blaster that's 3 years old. He hasn't respecced out of his fitness pool into inherent. He has a 6-slotted super jump. He could absolutely be more powerful - and he eventually will be. But I need to actually play him a lot more before I know HOW I like to play him. Once I figure that out, I'll burn a respec to build for it. Until then, it will be wasted.

    I originally started playing late 2008 and then let my subscription lapse for a while until by buddy says, "hey, you should get back into CoH"

    So, I fund my account and THEN I see all the threads that this needed to have your account live on 2/1/11. I missed by a full 2 weeks. I'm kinda sad because I'd LOVE to have vanguard pieces available to every character - I'm a costume junkie.

    If it was possible, I'd pay for a month of game time in the PAST just so I would be eligible for this.

    Here's Voltaic Brawler. No purples, but as of this writing, you've got over 500M in the LotG sets and the +Recharge enhancements. Rectified Reticle is coming in a bit high on the market as well (IMO). The rest is "cheap" - I suppose. Total it's around 800 - 900 million, I think.

    There are a couple threads on alpha slot choices, but instead of mucking theirs up with my build, I thought I'd make a new one. Basically, I'm ready to slot my Alpha and I'm a little torn. My initial thought was Cardiac for the eventual +RES (and the associated END reduction - although not a problem with Conserve Power running - but would help some).

    Then I was reading that more people seem to favor Spiritual, but I just don't think it would be very noticeable for me. It would take my Lightning Rod from 36.4s down to 32.7 and Conserve Power from 249.2s to 221s (a bit more noticeable, I'll admit).

    At the risk of getting yelled at for bringing up a month-old post, I'm curious if either of you have come up with a solution to this. This happens to me about once every 3rd play session or so. The behavior is eerily similar to what was described.

    1. I'll be running missions in a team perfectly fine.
    2. When in the mission map, all my attack buttons will do nothing. I can move, I can see bad guys moving, things are attacking, numbers are flying. However, no actual input from me is registered. I cannot team chat.
    3. Disconnected from Map Server.
    4. Close out CoH, log back in. I arrive outside the mission doors. Get a team invite, click to enter.... loading screen hangs for 3-5 minutes.... No connection to map server.
    5. I can rinse and repeat that indefinitely for that mission - I will *never* be able to get in those doors again.
    6. Resolves when I go do another mission (either solo, with a new team, or with the existing team).

    It's frustrating as this happens probably 3 times a week - and thus, I have to always sit a mission out. It also happens from two different computers with two different Internet connections. Doing a /netgraph 1 will show solid green with <120 pings until a problem, Then, every 2-3 seconds, a yellow spike - this repeats until I kill CoH.

    Thoughts?
