I can testify to what a difference Rage makes.
I have it slotted well enough along with Hasten...I can have it stacked up to 4 times if my timing is right. Thunderous. -

So, what's the current best way to get a WP tank to 3500...or is it even necessary?

Without knowing all of the technical aspects involved here, I can say that I love them both. My personality leads me to roll a tank 9 times out of 10.
I took an Invul/EM tank to 50 and loved him. By 50 I slotted him completely with IOs and he was next to unbeatable in game....when it came to PvP, however...not so great even with all my IOs slotted the way many people were saying was the best for PvP. No matter how I slotted him he was always good for PvE.
I also have a WP/SS that is up to level 41 now. Freaking amazing! I can run a mission 2 to 3 levels above me for a 3 to 4 man team and chuckle all the way through. Seriously, the more he has around him the better. In a team he doesn't agro anything like my Invul. But my Invul can't last like the WP in my opinion.
I don't have the WP slotted with any IOs yet and he's not to 50 so I can't say what he'll be like when he gets there. I haven't used my Invul in about 2 years so I may dust him off after I19 and see what I can do with him.
Actually, my biggest frustration with the Invul/EM was PvP. Period. -
Nice! Once I have the millions and millions it takes to acquire those sets, I most certainly will do so.
I'm a little wiser in slotting now. -
So, probably a dumb question here, what the heck do you do with Halloween salvage?

I'm an illustrator/graphic designer and have a poor mathematical mind. That's why I easily get intimidated and/or bored when trying to figure out enhancement slotting.
If I could have the perfect (if there is such a thing) WP/SS tank build I would just follow it to the tee. -
No. My Mister Liberty is a lvl 41 WP/SS tank in Protector.
I've had him for about 3 years but haven't played the game for about 2-1/2 years. Just getting back into it and am trying to figure out everything I've missed.

My original main toon was Liberty Machine in Protector...in case anyone knows that toon. I used to play him constantly. He was a great tank. -
I apologize in advance if there is a similar thread on here. I looked through 8 or 9 pages and didn't find any answers so I went ahead and made this.
Okay...for example, when a set like Impervious Skin gives these advantages when slotting them:
- Two enhancements reduces the duration of Sleep effects on you by 2.2%.
- Three enhancements increases maximum Health by 1.5%.
- Four enhancements grants 2% debt protection.
- Five enhancements improves the Recharge of all your powers by 5%.
I hope that makes sense.
