What would make you return to CoH?: I left for about three months before I8 and returned to see the new content. I want to see new zones, new enfgame content and new powersets. -
I've been thinking about this recently. I (Mercury Angel Inv/EM/Energy Mastery) tend to jump/fly into mobs, lay down some agrro-smack then run on beyond the mob, turning around to draw them to me. This means I can quickly see who is agro'd to me, just hanging about or running back towards the rest of the team. I can then pick and choose with taunt or energy mastery ranged attacks to grab the attention of runners at a distance, and quickly run back to catch any leakers if needed.I had a conversation with a couple of emp defenders ages ago about how you feel responsible for keeping the team alive. The emp defenders generally got a sympathetic hearing from the group, and plenty of "good healing" but when I mentioned feeling the same sense of responsibility as a tank, I was pooh-poohed. I was tempted to stop tanking for them to prove my point, but that would have been petty...

I'm not sure what the policy is on "adios" posts, so this is a goodbye thinly masked as a thankyou.
After 16 months, Mercury Angel and my multitude of other alts are hanging up their capes. I'd like to say a few thankyous whilst I still can....
Firstly to everybody that I know I should have mentioned, and I have forgotten. Inevitabley in a community as large and diverse as this I will miss some of you out. My apologies if I do. You, whoever you are are are a great person. Or not. I leave that to you to decide, after all, you know you better than me.
Those who I do remember i will name: Hell Ram, BGK, Flush, JumpJet, Black Dragon, Proximity, Mercury Star (top name, girl), Heavy Glow
Also, thanks to My SG, who have induged my constant babbling on our chat channel and attention-getting decorating attempts in the base. Az (saviour of the SG), Kiya, Fulla, Mina, Lily. Fine Heroes and Villans all.
Moon Angel - I've known Moon Angel in RL for many, many, many years and CoH gave us the avenue to keep in touch when we were half a world apart. Really. Different sides of the globe. Fortunatly I can see Moon more often now, in RL, since we are no longer half a world away, but whilst we were apart it was so nice to be able to speak to my friend so easily.

Blue Dragon, who departed these boards long ago, you were rubbish, you are rubbish and you allways will be rubbish. Despite that you were a great mate and you are missed by many.
Esuna. A constant reminder of just how old I am, and why I miss being young so much.
Quantrail. I still remember Blue Dragon introducing me to you outside the monorail in Bricks by saying "This is Quantrail, and she's a REAL girl!". One of the old school, a fine friend and looks damm fine with a cowboy hat and axe combo.
Genralisssimo2 - Can't dance, can't sing, can tank a little. A man of infinite jest and, sadly, very, very finite fashion sense. Kept my poor, squishy, impetuous Venus Angel safe from harm in our PHEP days when I was still using my scrapper like I was still a tank. Master of subtle puns and very un-subtle outfits.
Finally, Aerie. I can say no more than we have already said at one time or another. But that things had been otherwise....
Mind you, I might be back in 3 months. Who knows.

Thakyou all. It was a blast. Predictions that the world would end before Merc finally dinged 50 got all mixed up with predictions that the world would end once Merc dinged 50. Clearly, the world not having ended and Merc being 50, my predictions are a load of old rubbish, so I'll make another: I aim to have another 50 within a year. Two at the most. 3, at the very, very outside...
Super thanks to my super-group super friends who are all super, and to Moon Angel, Hell Ram, Tama, Flush, Jump Jet and a bunch of others who have all helped me along the way and I have done the disservice of forgetting. You are all also super. Apart from Blue Dragon, who is rubbish.

We won't need one of them. Setting yourself up for a fall that way. Besides, a pre-nup is actually pointless under UK law, as all conracts are null once you get married.

Amen to that. I have a strict promise of formalwear only from Gen2, for the ceremony anyway. What he wears for the party afterwards is entierly his own choice. I'm bringing sunglasses though, just in case, and I'm hoping that the abiding memory of the wedding night will not be Gen2 in his pink leotard.....
