Strange that the article continues to compare it to Wind Done Gone, but never bothers to compare it to the obvious: Wicked.
-
I call my characters toons. Deal with it.

Only relating to redside or blueside is sooooooooo 2006.

This weeks WTF is the LGTF and I, for one, am hungry for some weakened jello.
What: ACTF
When: Sat. 2/19/11
Time: 1 pm EST/12 noon CST/11am MST/10 am PST
Where: RWZ at Lady Grey
Who: Controllers and Doms ***Note: Since this is a regular TF alpha slotting is not required
1. Mental Maden- Flash Frozen Jen- Ill/Cold
2. MU- Vorianna- Mind/Emp
3. Mr. Draconis
4. Mrs. Draconis
5. Naq- Redeeming Fire- Fire/Rad
6. Siluria- mind/kin
7. BBT- BBT Mind/emp
8. Ulli- Jean-Paul Sartre Fire/kin
Reserves- Celtic Thermal, Toonies (HI!), Vixen -
The episode aired tonight, Cookie and gang were hilarious.
-
I used my Ill/thermal during one and don't remember that happening.
-
I didn't realize there was a proper standard for elves. Given they aren't real and all. /shrug

This weeks All Controller Task Force on Guardian finished Khan in around 39 minutes and like last week we ran to the RWZ for an Incarnate TF but this time ran an Apex in just under an hour and all ended up with Master of Apex badges! It was an added little cherry on top none of us were expecting as really only one or two from the team were all that familiar with that TF.
-
I currently have lots of love for Cold. Rad is probably my second choice.
-
Mental Maden- Rachel McAdams
Codename-Pox- That is a hard one. I'm going to have to put on the thinking cap. -
Get some Old English Sheepdog pics please! I rescued one many years ago from a shelter (he's since passed) but he was the best dog I've ever had.
-
For the Weekly Task Forces, no you don't have to have an alpha power slotted. We have gone and run an Incarnate TF after them and you really need one for those, but the Incarnate TFs have been more "oh that was fun and easy, since we got done so fast let's go do this"....totally optional. But chances are if you run the WTF you'll probably end up with enough to make your first tier alpha for the Incarnate TF anyway.

The ACTF Wrath of Khan was a huge success!
Thanks to:
1. Mental Maden- Flash Frozen Jen
2. Celtic Coders- Celtic Thermal
3. Naq- Redeeming Fire
4. Mr. Draconis- Mysterious Cowboy
5. Mrs. Draconis- Make Believe Hero
6. Siluria
7. Impact- Victory Gardener
8. Mind Over Matter- Magma Carter
Not only did we finish the Khan TF in about 40 minutes we finished an Apex after in just under an hour and it was a successful Master of Apex run!!! Great job to all those that attended, thanks for coming along and be on the lookout for the next ACTFoAH! (All Control Task Force of Awesome Hawtness) -
Running the ACTF (All Control Task Force) on Saturday on Guardian. We'll be running Khan first then follow it up with an Apex.

You don't know how bad I wanted to put the mellow but haunting "40" on that list. Oh screw it. This has always felt like the weary soldier coming home to me. Also the studio version is pretty short and I've always felt the Red Rocks version gives this song the justice it deserves. The audience part at the end is just awesome.
Azure, I'm inspired and I'm going to put together a "war" themed playlist for you. -
I'll agree with Ameros' two major U2 suggestions
Bullet the Bluesky Great atmospheric song. And I agree it's a great live song, which is rare for me to say. I don't typically care for live recordings either.
Sunday Bloody Sunday Probably my favorite U2 song. There are a lot of great live recordings of this one as well, but I prefer the studio version and it's inclusion of violin.
Also, while they might not be thematically obvious, early U2 has always had a "time of war" sound to me.
I Will Follow
Two Hearts Beat As One
New Year's Day Stiff competition for my favorite U2 song.
Seconds
Like A Song
Red Hill Mining Town
Ok, so it's just an excuse to post some cool music. Sue me. -
Geez, snark much? What's wrong with asking a question? There was nothing in the OP to warrant that kind of response. Seriously.

Quote:Agreed, if not we're right back to all the problems of Heroes after season 1.I'm hoping that they don't intend to redeem Joshua in the end and have him continue on as a regular. We've seen him kill people including Detective Cho, mindwipe Daphne, and manipulate Katie's memories. About the only "redemption" I want to see from him is him heroically sacrificing his life to save Katie.
There are 5 more episodes in the season according to IMDb.com. I'm hoping they'll wind up the arc with Dr. King by then. -

My main hero (FF/Psi- Nerve branch) and villain (Dark/Rad- Musculature branch) get the priority and are both +1 and have their 2nd Notice sitting in salvage. If my mains are taken care of and I feel like doing something "incarnate-y" I'll just bring along what is needed for the team. So far 13 of my lvl 50s have at least tier 1 alpha and 20 have the alpha unlocked. At this point I don't really have any particular toons that just "have to have it now", but I'm finding my SS/SR brute, is getting a lot of play, mainly because she is rogue (but not my only rogue/vig) status so I can bounce around to wherever the action is.
