Quote:I know Zombie already purchased this, but I have to point out one thing -As far as liquid cooling goes.. yes / no / not really.
Yes, you should be wary of liquid cooling. They do require extra maintenance compared to air-cooling. You will need to keep an eye on the reservoir and make sure you treat any additional water with an anti-rust / anti-fungal solution.
If you see a picture with tubes running everywhere full of neon green/blue/pink/"cool color of the day" liquid, expect maintenance. BUT, there's an OEM cooler out there that you don't worry about maintenance with - Not saying 'you don't have to,' but being a completely sealed two (or, I believe, three, depending on model) piece system, you *can't.*
It doesn't, from one of the last discussions over this, seem to perform much differently than straight air, but it *is* out there (and seemingly somewhat common.) -
Quote:Actually....Actually, as of... Some point in the recent past I can't place, you don't need to do the Patron arcs to get the Patron pools, and you can freely respec between them.
I just recently (as in within this issue) had a character get to 41 without finishing the patron arc, and they weren't available. I had to put off leveling for another few missions until they were unlocked (or respec into them later, which I didn't want to do, being otherwise happy with the character.)
You're no longer tied to the choice, no - and I will never do Black Scorpion's arc with those blasted mole machines again, even though I like the arc in general - but you still have to finish *an* arc. -
So the Winter event is partway over. People are collecting candy canes, skiing, opening glowing presents...
But I've got to admit, it doesn't feel all that winter-y (or holidayish) to me. If you don't go through Pocket D, is the event really mentioned at all? Does it "feel" like a holiday season in Paragon or the Isles?
For me... no. Part of it is that so much is repeated, with only the "winter realm" bit new. I've skated through and just ... basically forgotten anything was going on. So, I have a proposal for next year.
A few things are part of this -
- Supergroup bases. This is someplace people should be able to "personalize" more than the city. For many groups, it's seen as a "home," after all, and I think it'd be nice to be able to decorate for the season.
- One year's work has gone pretty much unused since - the original winter "invasion," where Paragon was iced over in spots. Why hasn't this been brought back? Yes, work would need to be done to do something similar to the Isles, but it'd still be a nice touch.
- Aion envy. Yeah, I'll admit that. I think they've got *just* the right amount of "holiday look" going on - a vendor that sells holiday items, another with holiday costumes (though, being gear, they cost and are out of reach of lower characters - their main drawback) but most of all, the capitols of both sides are decorated for the season. Not gaudily, but enough to have a feeling of "something special going on." And yes, when you're out in the other zones (the active world,) you don't see it - but when you head back to the capitol (and you eventually have to for one thing or another,) there's still that seasonal background.
So, what would I overhaul for next year?
1. Move Snaptooth to Ouroboros. (And have it available just over the holidays.) Snaptooth... is just getting to be a bit "old hat." It's not something I particularly look forward to. Suggesting his mission tends to get more "oh, that creepy kid rescue again?" comments than anything. He'd still be in Ouro over the season for those who want to run him (or possibly through an Ouro-style portal tied to the Chalet somehow,) but something new and interesting would be nice.
2. Costume pieces and temp powers. We get them now (unless we already have them.) However, we get them "fully formed." Add a few new pieces, a new temp power or two - and have them drop as recipes. If you have them already, you can give them away (or sell them.) If you don't, have, say, 1-10 candy canes be the "needed salvage," perhaps. And again, a few new costume pieces would be nice.
3. Decorate the cities themselves. No, it doesn't have to be gaudy, or even "all over." Little touches - wreaths, ribbons, etc. in City Hall, in Galaxy, a decorated tree here and there, even (given our devs tendancy to put little "touches" in here and there,) say, miniature trees on the occasional random desk in a cubicle in, say, the police stations. It's a little harder to figure out where to put this sort of thing villainside - most likely in Cap. Mercy's supposed to be a winnowing-out process, after all, and it's hard to make gun turrets and fortified walls in Grandville look festive. Even little touches like, say, a wreath and bunting in Wentworths - even the BM trucks - would add a little "seasonal air." Doesn't need to be every zone.
4. Supergroup stuff. Easiest to have these tied to SG badges, so they're not stuck "only" on one or two people. If you finish the new Holiday mission from #1 in SG mode, the SG is awarded some minor holiday decoration - all you have to do is have the person in SG mode, nice and easy to do. Then, add a mission to the mission computer, so the SG itself can earn some bigger prize - say, a christmas tree - to decorate with. (As an item, not as in 'just one,' more like an unlock.) This wouldn't be limited to just your SG - know someone with a tiny one, and no mission computer? If they help complete it, in SG mode, even though it's in your computer... they get the award too.
What it basically boils down to is - I'd like to see more of a holiday spirit in the game than "we have a mission or two tucked away somewhere, and a place to ski." -
Quote:(1) Which powers would those be, andwhat i think it should have been is having a few defenseive power in their secondaryies, i mean all da blaster secondaries are custom anyway, but half of them are full of stuff that is not of any use.
(2) How much of a hit to damage are you willing to take? Defender-level?
The last time the devs tried to replace "powers nobody took," there were mobs with pitchforks, tar and feathers getting ready to gather outside the offices. You'll notice many of the PPPs (and some APPs) now have five powers instead of four. -
The prestige isn't yours to lose. Prestige belongs to the supergroup.
If you're now a villain, how are you going to do anything in Paragon? Why would you remain part of an SG?
And yes, you can go over and back. -
Pointless trying to discuss anything with N_D_A, so I won't. You just keep on blathering away to yourself.
And no, Ace, they *fortunately* won't scrap the rez, heal, end, and mez. Cottage rule. And I'm VERY glad of it. That's a horrid idea.
I say again - don't like it? Doesn't fit your playstyle? Nobody's forcing you to play it. So don't. And that's my last word. (I'm sure N_D_A is going to come back with more pointless blathering, I don't care. I've got mobs to kill on my fire tanks.) -
Quote:I "Fail to realize it doesn't work here" because with my multiple Fire tanks (and scrappers, now,) it has been working just fine.I do well with any set but my skill is irrelevant. Even if I sucked , I would suck a lot more on a FA than on a Regen, Invul, Shield, WP, Elec, Stone, SR , Ice. I like the concept of Fire Aura trading durability for more damage but you fail to realize it doesnt work here and the concept fails. FA must be revisted and revolutionized for the concept to be a reality.
Funny, no defense... in a resistance based set. Imagine that...Quote:I want you to show everyone this damage you say FA gives you in return for no defense,
BurnQuote:no immobile
Do you burn through your END that fast? Then your build has problems. And have you considered slotting for recharge? It'll help a great deal. Oh, btw - yet another source of damage, here.Quote:and kb protection, a Endurance recovery with an absurd 180 sec recharge,
Might want to talk to dark and the VEATs about that lack of immob protection in melee, as well. Fire isn't alone in that.
... which lets me get back in the action *immediately* on the rare occasions I die, doing damage, stunning the enemy... you sound, quite frankly, like no - you *don't* know the Fire set, haven't bothered paying attention to anything but how it's not, say, Ice. If I'm down, I'm back in the action *now,* my team (you know, those other strange people on the screen you can't attack) is still safe, and I'm still going without having to go "Wait, about to crash, running away!"Quote:and no Tier 9th that helps your survivability in some way.
As for where the damage is coming from?
- Blazing Aura
- Consume
- FE (a build up other sets don't have)
- Burn
- ROTP, if needed
- and the entire secondary. Which *is* buffed by FE, even if it's not /fire. Or did you forget that?
Yes, other sets have "a damage aura." Grabbing the average damage numbers @50 in game, no enhancements -
Fire - 9.79
Dark, Elec, Ice, Stone - 8.01
Inv, WP, Shield - no damage aura.
Other damage sources from the primary -
Shield - 141, Shield Charge, KD
Dark - Soul transfer -44.49 damage, stun.
Fire - 186.8 - Burn
17.78 - Consume
222 (3 ticks of 111, but being "average," of course...) ROTP
You're showing more and more that you dont' know what you're talking about. Bad Mez protection? Same 12.98@50 to common mezzes as most other tanks, doesn't require another toggle to run, isn't a click (that you must slot for recharge so it overlaps and gives you some -recharge protection, barring immob) ... Which "bad mez protection" is this? Don't like burn, grab an IO, slot a set, take CJ, you've got other options. Take TP, Stone tanks do it all the time. Can't immobilize something that doesn't actually move.Quote:FE , you got me there. It is such a worthy power . So much damage in return for zero defense and bad mez protection.
Sounds better than "Must be in contact with ground" (Elec, Grounded, KB and Immob protection,) for instance. (Yes, I know Elec's Grounded is an auto power. Where's the payoff for "Don't fly, don't get caught in someone's Group Fly, etc?")
Funny how nobody has said a power like build up is a defensive power. Go ahead, keep setting up ridiculous little strawmen. I'll help - "Hey, look, Brawl doesn't add to my defense either! Oh damn!" Yet, what you choose to ignore, FE boosts *all* damage for 10 seconds, and all fire damage by 100% for 20.Quote:Wait a min, mobs still hit you after 10 seconds ? Oh damn.
Of course, you don't actually want to discuss anything here, which you're making more and more obvious. Learn the set for the set itself, not for "how it isn't (insert set here.)" -
I'd say Mind/ but I'll also admit to heavy bias. (I like Mind. A lot.) The only issue I've had (so far) with my (admittedly lowbie) Mind/Thorn - who should be getting more play, moved him to another server I'm on more - is Fling thorns when it comes to the fear. But even then, (a) you've done damage twice and (b) they re-fear. The only other one to worry about is Mass Hyposis - yeah, I do take it.
Mind's biggest plusses (to me) for what you're aiming for *are* the sleeps (ST and AOE,) I'd think. But as youv'e said - you don't know what anyone else is bringing. And if someone else does roll a plant, with Mind you'll have easily confused bosses early on even outside of Domination.
With fire, of cousre - as you yourself mentioned - you'll have plenty of damage, and no sleeps or fears to worry about breaking. And Fire will almost insist you're in the middle of the action. If you're comfortable there (and, really, as a dom... why aren't you?) all I can say is "Melting faces is fun."
Fire's also probably the only set I plan, right off the bat, to take the AOE Immob on when it comes to doms. (I tend to always take it on controllers, regardless, but most of my doms stick with the ST immob, hold, and whatever other tricks fit the assault set.) (Actually, make that fire and plant, to keep everyone in seedss/AOE damage range intead of wandering off to shoot someone else.)
I, *personally,* would lean toward mind - but as I said, I'm really biased there. -
Quote:Or maybe I don't try to play FA like Invuln, WP or Stone. Similarly, I don't try to play Stone (or any other set) like Fire - not even the "closest" to it, Dark (which is more of a control-y tank and busy in toggle management.) I've experience with multiple sets, Tank, Scrapper, and Brute (I'd add Stalker where they share sets, but those get adjusted far more, not least to fit in Hide.)You seem either delusional or perhaps you havent played enough other sets to notice a difference. Strange considering your experience and time here. And yeah the flaws in FA have existed for so long which to me is undeniable evidence that the devs havent played the set recently and extensively or simply do not see a flaw in FA, both of which would make them incompetent in this case. Forgiveable but still.
Whatever , have fun trying to build a house on corrupt foundations. I will continue advocating an improvement while can keep telling people like myself to "Play something else because I like to suck."
But, hey, just go around complaining it isn't like Stone, Ice, etc, despite those being designed for a completely different purpose, and call anyone disagreeing delusional and the direct statement of what it's designed for a lie. Of course, if you care to read, I said "Perhaps you don't do well with the set." That's far different from "you suck." For example, I don't do well with Illusion. I don't like the set. It's not a "control" set for me - direct control. So after giving it a shot or two (full set) I decided it wasn't for me. "Perhaps you don't do well with the set" means precisely that. Fire calls for a different playstyle than other tanks. If that playstyle's not for you, don't play it. Seems pretty straightforward. But hey, go ahead and take it as an insult instead of an observation.
The only thing that ever had my Fire tank worried was recharge debuffs, and that's been adjusted (plus, optionally, you can pick up an IO for it to reinforce that.) And the only thing I see that should be adjusted is Burn, which - since some do use it for mitigation - should probably have a slow added, a la hot feet.
Edit:
Honestly, I like the range of options tanks have for primaries. From heavy defense/resist (invuln, ice, stone) all the way to heavy offense (comparitively - aka fire,) a touch of control (Dark,) and we've been getting more of the range in between filled in (Shield and Elec, for instance.) And yes, I'm *glad* not every set plays the same. I'd have far fewer tanks if they did. (Same's true for the other ATs, too.) -
-
Quote:Actually, considering how much I play it, I know no such thing. You know as well as me Memphis that Fire Aura's promise of surviviability by doing greater damage is an outright, ridiculously obvious lie.
Perhaps you just don't do well with the set?
Doesn't seem to be a problem to me. Recharges often enough, and I don't have to hope one's dropped/I have a second to make one/ etc. And how many blues do damage? (There's that "Offensive - Do damage" thing again.)Quote:. Consume's recharge is way too long so it feels like you are popping an occasional Blue every now and then rather than having a good endurance power like Power Sink.
While I agree burn needs changing, I'm not so whiny as to start throwing around accusations of incompetence.Quote:Burn would be the great power in the set like Shield's Shield Charge but it is horribly broken from a overkill nerf that continues to exist out of incomptent neglect.
If you're having problems playing the set, perhaps you should see assistance with it. It's rarely the car's fault if the driver crashes.Quote:Rise of the Phoenix belongs in this current pathetic set because it is a testament to how many times a player will die on a FA when compared to other armors.
It is an *offensive* set, per the developers. I don't need a "One with the shield," it does nothing for me. ROTP lets me get back up *right now,* continue tanking - while damaging the enemy and stunning them, keeping them from doing anything to the rest of my team, on the *rare* occasions it's needed.Quote:Fire Aura has been weak for years now. It is time progress is made but people need to let go of these obsolete philosophies which support ROTP because it contradicts the strengthening of Fire Aura's mitigation since the Tier 9 needs you to die first.
You don't like that? Don't play the set. -
Quote:If you purposely die as a tank (barring "for laughs,") you shouldn't be a tank. And ROTP, since you seem to not want to see it as anything but "a rez," gives health back as well as stuns and damages the enemies around you - where's that aggro you're losing? Staggering around, right around you, if the damage portion didn't finish them off first.Let me clarify. Specifically on a tank if you purposely die to use the power, sometimes you'll put your team in danger because of lost aggro.
Getting back into the fight, *right now,* with decent health/END and aggro that's not going anywhere because the enemies you had around you are stunned/dead? More effective than "TP and wakie, please."Quote:If you don't expect to be regularly defeated, and you have one power which works only when you are, what's the point?
They're not meant to be anywhere near as offensive. Fire is an *offensive* set. Two damage powers, damage components to other powers (Consume, ROTP) and a damage *buff.* Totally different concept than "I don't get hit." Why - stepping out of Tanks for a moment - doesn't SR have a self heal, while Regen does (multiples, in fact, in one form or another?) Is Regen a weak set? Or is it just designed around a different theme?Quote:On Tanks why isn't this power coupled with Invulnerability, Stone, WP, or Shields, but only with the squishier armors?
Edit: Or, to flip things around:
"Invulnerability is obviously one of the weakest offensive sets. Hell, I can stand in the middle of enemies for hours and none of them will be killed by anything more tahn boredom. Even Stone has Mud Pots, at least."
Is Invuln broken or weak... or does it just have a different design goal aimed toward a different playstyle? Should Invuln be changed to fit the Fire/ playstyle?
Geko hasn't been on the game since 2005, so honestly - who cares. It's like saying "Rick Dakan felt this way." What his ideas were *then* have little relevance to the game *now,* other than how much aspirin Castle needs when dealing with powers (such as his stated dislike of Power Boost.) As for Castle calling it weaker and expecting it to be defeated because of it (as opposed to "being more offense oriented," which is not the same as "weaker,") all I can say is - give me a quote.Quote:Because Geko and Castle "expect" those weaker sets "to be defeated" at a higher ratio.
Does it have layer upon layer of overlapping armor? No. What does it have instead? Damage, and things to help with damage (FE) and survivability (HF, Consume - consume also doing damage.) Some sets survive by making it harder to hit them. Fire survives by making sure nothing is *left* to hit them. (And Dark does via disorients and fears, self buffs and damage.)
Different concept all together.
I far prefer it over "I hope this fight doesn't last too long, or I'm not in the middle of another spawn when I crash," personally. What's your focus - your character or your *team?* Which does ROTP help keep alive?Quote:To me that's a loser power that can be skipped for something that may keep your toon alive, rather then one that assumes defeat is inevitable. ;]
Plus, quite frankly, I like sets that have people play them *as sets,* not sets that focus people on their Tier9. How many Stone tanks run around almost exclusively in Granite? How many Invulns are focused on Unstoppable (and expect the team to sit and wait post-crash?) (Note I'm not saying *good* tanks, but I do see this far too often to consider it "an occasional new player" or some such.)
I'd hate to see it remodeled so I had no way of coming back while protecting the team, or seeing it nerfed to hell and back. Fortunately, thanks to the cottage rule, it won't be.Quote:I'd like to see RotP remodeled but it would have to be so neutered if it worked as OP suggested that it would be highly situational at best.
The glimpse at Castle's "list" for FA, ca. 2006 (he hasn't really posted much on it since) and reaction to some comments.
(Bolds mine.) Since then - if my timeline is right - HF has been buffed, Temperature protection has been given a recharge debuff resistance/slow resistance, and /we've been given IOs to play with as well. (note the "cannot be more specific at this time" - that time being 07/2006, Inventions being introduced the following year.) He also has commented on FE (the extra damage that goes with /fire is a bonus, an "oh cool," and wouldn't be changed,) and as far as ROTP - again, two words, cottage rule. They won't change the basis of a power. (Which, if I'm reading other comments correctly, this sort of change would lead to.)Quote:Well, I have several things on my 'Powers Issues' page which are specifically related to Fiery Aura. Many of the issues brought up in this thread are there.
Basically, Fiery Aura is meant to be the most offensive protective set. Nothing anyone has said in this thread contradicts that statement, the closest are the comments that FE is not up often enough and that FA complements /Fire more than other secondaries.
So, *that* aspect of the design goal is working. Is it working as well as it should be? The Fear aspect of Burn is definitely unpopular, and despite its having usefulness in some circumstances, it is detrimental in others. It's on my discussion list for that reason.
Temperature Protection is unpopular. Interestingly, none of the passive powers in the various protection sets are terribly popular since players feel the return on investment is too low. As such, this is a global issue, not specific to FA and should be looked at as such.
Are the holes in protection too large? Well, you can overcome them currently. The only practical way to do so is Acrobatics, and to a lesser extent Hover. As mentioned before, any change in this is going to be global, rather than FA specific. I cannot be any more specific at this time, however, except to say that, no 'Mayhem Mission'-type or Empowerment Station temp powers are not a solution I am looking at. Although, they can help.
Healing Flames, I've commented on.
Consume. It won't be autohit, unless we remove the damage component -- which we aren't going to do. -
Re-read what you responded to with this. They're not there to click on in the scenario. Now, which character gets friended in this multi-name scenario?
-
Here's the thing.
I get spam from Wannabuymyinf. I petition wannabuymyinf. I know there's no confusion (barring me mistyping, and I can point to the logs) - that name is unique on the server, tied to an account.
I get pestered by HeyImAJerk. I know, if I /petiton HeyImAJerk, they'll get the right guy. There's no "Is that HeyImAJerk@Brattykid, HeyImAJerk@Justkidding, HeyI'mAJerk@SteveMartinFan..." to go on. There's only one person with that name on that server.
I have a great time teamed with AwesomeDom. I don't think about friending them - end of the night, I'm tired, I go to bed. I see AwesomeDom in broadcast and say "Hey, he was pretty cool to play with!" Not "Is that AwesomeDom@Domino, AwesomeDom@MindMe, AwesomeDom@DominickCOH" - that I didn't get to see because "at the time there was only one, but now there's more."
Plus, yes, I *like* being the only one of me on the server. And I've hated the way the various "share the name" solutions came out looking. Usually some monstrosity, or the system is clunky, or otherwise it's just... bad. -
Download and install the most up to date drivers for your video card.
Happens every time I've had to install or reinstall an OS - both XP and Win 7. Really bright until I get the video drivers downloaded from the video card manufacturer. -
Quote:And don't forget Defiance 2.0 - being able to (partially) attack while mezzed is a help.Well, first thing, Blasters have already been made tougher than they originally were by having their base hit points increased to their current value from back when (I6? 7?), so it's not like they have never been made tougher than they were at release.
Still, making blasters "less squishy" overall generally means they'd have something else taken away in return - and what blasters have is "Damage, damage, and more damage." So, your options really are IOs, purples, teammates and potetially pool powers to help a little. -
I keep rereading the OP trying to find some way to salvage... *something* from it.
- "Supervirus" - well, as a debuff, we have one. See Dr. Vahz/Wasting disease. Having it as part of a TF (on one or more players) for a mission isn't a big deal. If it fits the story, sure.
- Having the team split, I wouldn't argue with. Not necessarily on separate maps, though - I'm not even sure that can be done. In addition, I wouldn't *mind* being able to start off in a jail. Heck, I wanted that for AE, since it would fit one of the arcs I put out there.
- Not allowing a rez / not allowing you to re-enter a mission / "Defeat and you're done" are all... just bad ideas. Really.
- Confuse... as a map wide effect? No thanks. Limited to certain mobs I'm fine with. Even a "Confuse field" (say, a generator putting out a World of Confusion style field that you have to defeat somehow - somehow other than direct conflict, since you can't mark the generator as "hostile" if you're near it) might be interesting. (Hmm... or targetable via AOE, or by having a Mind/ in there with you, re-confusing you since you'd con hostile... still, alternate solutions to make it interesting.)
- Toggles don't work. I don't like the way you've that as a mechanic, quite frankly... but something like "they've usurped Ouroboros, you've been sent back and don't remember how to use certain powers - find your way back here" could work. It would also be consistent throughout the map. -
As long as it loses absolutely none of its current functionality.
-
Depends what's going on. If we've gone through, say, half of one of the large Orenbanaga maps and you're by the door, and haven't said anything, I'll say something. If it's a repeating pattern (fight the first 2-3 mobs, sit back for a long chunk of the map,) I'll say something.
30 seconds? Pfft. 30 seconds is nothing. -
Quote:Head to the wiki and look up Going Rogue, specifically the bits about "Ultra Mode." Or search on Positron's name and the phrase "Ultra mode" - or "Nvidia" should do it, too. 8 cores don't mean a lot to COH, nor does 9 Gb RAM - you exceed what it would use, that's about it. But if you threw all that together with, say, integrated graphics (for whatever unholy reason,) you'd not be able to run Ultra mode.I have an 8-core 9GB gaming rig that cost $1100. That's about $600 less than the boutique prices, or even those for the big-name online builders.
I'm pretty sure it'll handle Going Rogue with ease, although I hadn't heard there were going to be any enhancements in that which would require more power.
Ultra mode, of course, is not required for GR - and might, depending on development, be released outside of it in a patch, or as part of the sync issue instead of the expansion, we'll have to see. -
How about no. NO sound good? Yeah, I think I'm going to go with "no" on this one. It sounds distinctly un-fun (especially the "If you get defeated, you cannot go on, quit the TF." See, funny thing, I *like* playing with my friends. Tell me I can't because my (generally squishy) character ate an ambush's alpha, and you'd better believe I'll tell you where you can stuff your TF. Telling me I can't use my pets as a MM, I'll just wait by the door - oooooh, fun. Telling me we need a "healer," I'll tell you you've got bad design.
Just no. There's a difference between "Challenging" and "Needlessly irritating for the sake of being irritating." This suggestion accomplished the second, not the first. -
Purely personal preference - I like having two drives. One smaller, (hopefully) faster OS and "heavy use" apps, one for data and other apps.
Mid-build here, as well (well, if you can call case, power supply, optical drive and card reader "mid build" - did use a HD I've had sitting here, too.) I went with the Corsair power supply, as well, but went with a 650. Still gives plenty of headroom for me.
Oh, and you used your private wishlist. Use the public one:

Quote:How long do you want to spend flying there?I was using the train as an example.
Obviously you don't "have" to take the train.
The point I was trying to get at was that...at some points you are forced to not fly to that location.
Example...why do I have to take a ferry to an island when I can fly?
Why do I have to take the train to Croatoa when I can fly?
How much water is there between those islands? How much land between the zones?
Maybe COH has spoiled me, but - looking at Aion - having (say) to run from Eltnen fortress to the Golden Bough garrison (on the same region map) is a long enough jog, thanks. Slow, sluggish, only thing keeping me awake being that if there's been a rift open recently, I could be attacked *at any point* by the other side.
You want to fly, take a character to Brickstown, use its exit into IP. Go to the south wall, then fly north... see how long it takes. Then add space between zones, all the space in zones, etc. Be sure to set an alarm clock to wake you when you're done.
