Windows 7 and gamma

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any patches or something to fix that problem? I use to run fine on my laptop. It had windows vista. I'm guessing it has something to do with windows 7. When I try to put it on the highest settings the screen becomes to bright.

Download and install the most up to date drivers for your video card.

Happens every time I've had to install or reinstall an OS - both XP and Win 7. Really bright until I get the video drivers downloaded from the video card manufacturer.
