Mellissandria

Hi...

Just wanted to say hi. And that this thread makes me miss the bad old days when I used to haunt the sci fi con circuit in Atlanta..back when I was single and had the money...

Now, it's every year, I hope to save up the money for a pre order for a membership to Anime Boston..and every year, I see that money go for something else.../sigh.

Not one but two TFs in one night...!

Recently won a Kiriban on DA-basically, I managed to be first post on Rhardo's 200th commission on DA..so...



It's still a work in progress, and is in the pencils stage. I like the fire katana here, and thinking of mentioning it if and when I get a character sheet done.

As for the ring (and I already asked about it..) Rio customarily wears open gloves with only a ring at the end where a hand should be (the ring keeps the 'glove' in place)..it's been the one consistency with all her costumes to date....

And the costume..yes, that is yet another new costume....haven't retired the red/black uniform...but well, a girl's gotta have an outlet, and for Rio, it's Icon....9,9;

Paragon Universe is good, still going strong. And an RP group that's been around a while

Ditto the Dawn Academy.

I suspect from the Heroid piece that he read the story I posted in the Virtue server forums first, then looked at the references. It's almost like it's meant to be an illo for that story. (And I will now have to post both pieces together to the Virtueverse website.)

As for the Mr. Author one...we were in the same SG and I asked if he could make up a little forum avatar for me.

Shall I say he got carried away? My jaw dropped when I saw it. I love the colors...and I think part of the inspiration came from the name Kami Megami itself. It means 'Goddess of the indescribable'..and she does look like a young goddess in the picture.

I have no real idea why I am doing this...unless it's following the herd in posting arts of my own characters...

I've actually collected bits and pieces of art on Gaia, where I got bit by the art collecting bug, (Badd-Kitty, it's all YOUR fault with your humongous collection of your rp characters..). Before that, I was notorious at various Sci Fi conventions for just being someone who would spend hours in the art piles of friends, going over artwork...(mind you, this was before DA came along..)

Don't have that much over there at the moment but if you do get curious, you can go on over to http://mellissandria.deviantart.com/ as I am not going to put everything up there...But I do have some pretty decent screenies there, mostly from SWG with a few artist references for CoH toons. I need to toss more up there, as well as more stories (need to update stories to include the new Mellissandria story at http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=217598

At any rate, enough linkies...going to show you the CoH related artwork I've managed to snag so far...

This first one is of my storm/energy defender, Kami Megami..done by Mr-Author from DA/(aka TheSummerEvening, aka the webcomic artist behind "Ow! My Sanity!")



The second one is of Oryo Ryouko, originally my main toon, since dropped to secondary main (Mellissandria, aka Mellie, is my main atm). This was done by Luke Denby, who's art can be found at http://lukedenby.deviantart.com/, and was a Christmas gift of sorts from another player.



The third one is the most recent one..Mellissandria, as done by Heroid. This was done for influence, and even rped out for giggles (the influence was in a briefcase..) one recent afternoon in Wentworth's. He's a wonderful guy, by the way, and this may be his best work yet...



Hopefully, will have more to add..someday. There are also some non CoH related artwork, but to see those, you will have to hit my DA account.

There will be more detailing of the others in the cast..eventually

Morning, and where are you heading off to?"

Rio, aka DC, flops down in a wingback chair, proceeding to sip her coffee...relaxing.

After a long pitched battle against the denizens of the Mirror Rookery Universe, the real Ryouko spends the night removing debris, freeing whoever needed to be freed, and cleaning the Rookery.

Slipping into a nice, clean caftan after a hot bath, she looks at the time.."Uhoh, time to put out the breakfast..."

She makes coffee, sets out fresh cream and sugar with the new mugs, then does an emergency Dunkin Donuts...buying out the contents of a store of all their donuts...and returns to set them out, along with pastries...

And what a selection there is of them: maple iced donuts, boston cream donuts, vanilla filled donuts, chocolate filled donuts, jelly donuts, glazed donuts, chocolate iced donuts with sprinkles, blueberry donuts....you get the picture. Also bear claws, iced cinnamon swirls, brownies, muffins of all sorts, pinwheels, and many many more pastries.

To this she adds sugar coated mini shredded wheats of all flavors, and other sugary sweet cereals. And more than a few flavors of yogurt and fruit for balance.

Finally, Rio flips over the sign on the Rookery to "Open" and gets ready for the day...

"I'm in. If I can't get Luna up to 25 in time, going to bring a lvl 26 blapper."

:Tosses her toy soldier hat in the ring.

A black basement cat strolls in...then morphs into Ryouko...but sporting a black corset, with matching undies and thigh high boots. The music of ACDC suddenly cranks up in the background, loud and hard...

She cracks a whip, razorbladed at the ends. "Everyone bow down to me, your ruler and goddess of the Demonic Horde. Anyone who crosses me..." she chuckles evilly.."will feel my lash..Who wants to be first...?"

She smirks..a sexy, evil smirk of one very used to getting her way...

Yeah, I have a problem with getting over enthused when I write a new story. Often it goes thru a couple of revisions, even after it's officially 'written'.

Once..I even wrote a story for a forum...and then removed the 'frame' story because it didn't make sense, even to me.

I'll try the 'let it sit around for a day or so' method, and the "wait til I have more coffee in my system" method. Thanks for the feedback, Pirateseahawk, Fomsie and Dumpleberry. And I will put a corrected and more polished version as soon as it's done, here and in my DA.
