(This looks interesting. I'd like to see how this ends up)

Ah, I love these types of threads. Great showings from everyone else so far. Let's see what kind of cool screenshots I've got here......
Hro'Dtohz inspires his troops with his passionate speech and spiffy armor
Gamble your troubles away in St. Martial
Galaxy City is underappreciated
Mmmm, I think you should go first.
Welcome to Spider City
Hamidon meets his end
Longbow has had better battles
Recluse powers up for a final showdown -
(I hope these haven't already been said....)
Did you know.....
- When CoH first came out, the Rikti in Founder's Falls actually talked. Not thought-speak talk, as they're now known for, but actual normal speech. One phrase I remember in particular is "This location is secure". I believe this was fixed when Issue 1 came out, because the Rikti there stopped talking around that time.
- Infernal's (The trainer) name at launch was "Infernal Demons", but was quickly changed to Infernal, as we know him today.
- Elite Bosses were a relatively late addition to CoH, with the first Elite Bosses being Frostfire and Atta in the Hollows. For a while, the only EBs after that were Heracles in Striga and the Super Zenith Mech in the Citadel TF (Although I'm not sure when that was added). It wasn't until CoV came out that they became widespread, especially with the change that allowed Arch-Villains to be downgraded to Elite Bosses under the right conditions. -
Here's some random conversations I overheard in Pocket D....
Tsoo Raver: Silence. Speed. Grace. There is no substitute for those.
Freedom Corps Raver: Perhaps not, but a good lawyer always helps.
Skull Raver: Is it true that Superadyne enhances your strength, but kills brain cells?
Troll Raver: Huh?
Troll Raver: Girls dig green.
In Grandville, on the other hand, some Bane Spiders are working on something and the one supervising says.............
Bane Spider: You think I'm driving you hard? Could be a Fortunata overseeing you... They know how to motivate, if you know what I mean.
Bane Spider (Same one): And, No... I didn't mean that in the 'good' way. -

Is Julius the Troll really dead, by the way? I need to go to the Hollows and check. That was an excellent epitaph, by the way...
[/ QUOTE ]
He's not dead. Not literally, anyway. I believe he's considered to be dead to Bo and his crew because he's helping out heroes now.
Anyway, I may be a little late to say this, but it's great to see Bo back. I LOVE reading about Bo Bindel and his misadventures. It almost makes me feel bad about beating up on the Trolls so often.... Keep it up, Fire_Wa11! -

Anyone know which kind of Legacy Chain the 4th picture is? I've never seen one that looks like that and I couldn't place which zone it was taken in.
Perhaps Grandeville?
[/ QUOTE ]
That looks like lot like the Legacy of Light bosses, so that's what I assume it is. As for the zone, it LOOKS like the Hell Forge is in the background, which would indicate that the zone is Sharkhead.
Anyway, very nice article. It's good to hear a little more about the Legacy Chain, and it really is a shame that they don't seem to go above level 30 in CoV.
EDIT: Sleepy, have you ever done the "The Evil Countess Crey" story arc? That has something pretty close to what you're looking for, I think. -

I thought Gardvords were just LTs and Ogres and Calibans were the bosses....
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, they are. I just checked in-game just now.
Despite that little mistake, it still was pretty interesting. I'm particularly interested in the Troll Arch-Villain that's hinted at in Atta's file. Could that be Grendel, who we've heard the Trolls talking about but have never seen? -
Overheard in St. Martial....
Metal Swiper: "'Freakshow' is okay. I wanted it to be 'Horrorshow' but what ya' going to do?"
Elsewhere in St. Martial.....
Marcone Gunner: I REALLY do not want to know why you need to buy a hacksaw and 5 gallons of Hydrochloric acid.
Finally, said by a Freakshow Tank in a certain mission.....
"1t's n0t1hng Pw3rs0nn4l, but I c4n'7 w4yT t0 t3s7 0u7 t3h p0w4r 0f m n3w b0di!"
He actually says something in a clue after you beat him, but I'll let you read that one for yourself when you get to that point. -
I'm not certain exactly how Longbow, the Legacy Chain, and Wyvern managed to gain a foothold in Nerva. I was sort of hoping to find that out myself. However, I do want to say that I'm pretty sure the Might for Right act was overturned, so someone with super powers doesn't HAVE to register as a hero. In fact, that's one goal of the Malta: To bring the Might for Right act back. By the way, you arrest the Outcasts because they're part of a known criminal gang, not because they're unregistered mutants.

While exploring St. Martial just to see what was there, I came upon some particularly interesting lines. I don't think that they were exactly like this but they're close.
The first one came from a Family thug who was, along with a few others, standing around an unfortunate level 15 Mook with his feet in a barrel: "Just say something about 'sleep' and 'fishes' and get this over with."
Another one was from a Tsoo Ink Man who was being held at gunpoint by some Arachnos: "I didn't think it would end like this, man." I don't know why, but that sounds particularly funny coming out of the Tsoo.
Also, getting a phone that had Captain Mako on speed dial in a newspaper mission was funny. -
From a group of NPCs warming themselves by a barrel with a fire on top in Cap: "The fire's getting kind of low. I guess I should go get some more Luddite pamphlets."
So, some people actually DO take the pamphlets, although not quite for the purpose that the Luddites hoped.
