CuppaJo, you're cool. I'd give you a high five but I don't know how to locate the thin blue line on a map.
Anyways, after the new Paragon Times article, I'mmore excited about this update as ever! Will we get to fight the Halloween monsters in Croatoa? You know, for those of us that signed up after Halloween? I did see pumpkin headed guys... -
S.P.A.C.E.
Colors: Black and White
Emblem: Starburst one, not sure of name.
This is the original SPACE sg, which has spawned at least 2 other sgs. It is reserved for players 40-50. As far as I know this one is filling up quick and there is going to be another sg reserved for only 50's. Not sure about exactly how many people are in it as I am not part of this sg.
SPACE TNG- The Next Generation
Colors: White and gray.
Emblem: same as SPACE
This is the 1-39 supergroup in the SPACE coalition. I am a captain here, not a leader so I don't know a large amount about the goings-on. This one has 35-40 members including alts.
Both sgs spend a large amount of time teaming and task forces and such. Went out and earned the Kill Skuls badge for a few of us the other night
I don't know about recruiting and such, sorry. -

So I was on with my SG on Champion a while ago, and we were doing the Positron TF. At one point, we were ambush right in front of Positron and Valkyrie. So here's all these guys shooting at us, trying to kill us, and Mr. Bigshot "I got my armor upgraded" and Ms. "I have this fancy spear that none of you can get!" are just kinda standing there watching.
THANKS A LOT, LEGENDARY HEROES!
Seriously, though, it would be cool if the trainers got some sort of automated power similar to the police drones. There's just something wrong about the eight most famous heroes in all of Paragon city standing there watching you get pounded on.

All that crap is grey to me, no XP.

BEST THING EVER!!!
Seriously though, I have quested across dales (what does this mean?) and briars (is this even a word?) to find this legendary post. -
I like them. I hadn't noticed a rushed pace. Clearly, they're (the heroes) in a hurry to figure things out. There's a sense of real danger and vulnerability, which is nice. Some good humor. Some mysteries to play out.
The side trip into Greek mythology is odd. If you're going to do it, at least get it right: Prometheus was a titan, not a god, IIRC.
Nice to see the least super-powered hero taking the lead, like Batman or Green Arrow.
And -- I'm going out on a limb here -- I'll bet that Statesman isn't really dead.
Add some pretty good art and a beat you can dance to: I'm satisfied.
Oh, and I liked the interview with Positron in the back. -

inspired by the shoulder-to-shoulder discipline showed by ancient Greek soldiers in the face of Persian tyranny

Also note that one of Statesman's greatest nemesis is... ahem... Nemesis, the 'Persian Prince of Automatons'.

Hate to nitpick... or pick a bone... or pick something (preferably not my nose).. but he's the Prussian Prince of Automatons. Sorry. -
I liked this article. It really led me through the whole Arena concept, from outside the building to inside the selection process. I haven't read much about what this will be like (yeah, I'm the one), so this was a very good intro to the idea.
It made sense to write it from a sports point of view. The place looks like a stadium. And, to the heroes, it is a game in a game.
Nice work! Cover the Sox much? -
All I can say is what I tell teammates on their way to join me in missions in the Hollows: stick to the streets.
Do not cut through the middle devastated section. Do not cut through the parks. Do not cut through "empty" lots. Do not jump over fences.
Go as fast as you can, but be ready to stop. If a mob is ahead, cross the street.
I find myself hugging the outer wall a lot, and jumping a lot if they start shooting. But I get through.
Yes, it takes more time than the straight line path. But you actually survive.
