Hey Sturmovik,

Seen your questions and already been partly answered now. I think there has been lots of quality of life features added as well as new powersets and inventions. However content wise not much has been added although there is a new TF to do. I think the weekend went rather well. Got to see a lot of people pop there head on to check things out with quite a few saying they resub in January.

It still despairs me that they give a free activation weekend and don't even advertise it. I would have thought giving an announcement of when they plan to do it would give existing players a chance to organise some events and show off some of the new features.

The game does seem much more quieter than usual but I put that down to most people taking a little break before I13 hits us.

I admit we not as active as we have in the past (due to people taking a break) but I am looking to sort that out with a little recruitment drive.

Well as some might have read there was a discussion regarding union legends here - http://uk.boards.cityofheroes.com/showfl...&fpart=all.

A few were looking to put together a story arc involving them or perhaps a TF. Now those mentioned in that thread are mostly known for there hero exploits. However I was wondering (hence this thread) who you would regard as there villain counterparts or worthy of the title "legend"? Quite a few legends I could think of on villain side no longer play but will always be remembered.

If I were to get the ball rolling I would nominate Dr. Death who was the founder of Violators which in its heyday was the number 1 supergroup (in terms of prestige) and one of the most active supergroups on villains.

Wow the villain side of the forums seem so quiet. Apologies been so busy with RL but can't believe nothing really been posted (even though I know a lot has gone on). Being lazy can't be bothered to do brief summary although I will mention one of our pet projects that is going on atm.

Currently we are trying to run a mini sg attempt with storm/endurance draining powers. A lot of us are around lv 20 at the moment although last week we had a number of people start from scratch. You can find all the details (as always on our own forum www.city-of-evil.com - another sg attempt) but the background story that was created:

The group is formed when one of us discovers an ancient Mu text which describes a way to tap into powerful magical energies. The book describes the summoning of the Stormfire a magical conflagration that, while it burns, will feed it's summoners magical powers of storm and fire. The Stormfire is summoned by the burning of a thorn wielder in a fire lit by the branch of a lightning blasted tree. All who plunge their hands into the fire as the thorn weilder dies will become one with the Stormfire. As long as the Stormfire burns it's children will have power. To keep it burning the servants of the Stormfire must drain soul energy from the living, a little will keep it burning a lot will increase the conflagration and also the powers of the Stormfire's servants.

As you can probably guess we have formed a new sg for this as we only really play on a sunday around 3pm but so far it has been good fun.

Has to be one of my favourites bugs and one I have always hoped I would one day encounter. Entered one of my mishes when an actual villain from CoV appeared. Needless to say I quickly arrested him lol.

Our supergroup is called EVIL and has coalitions with various supergroups (who will no doubt be posting soon in here). We do enjoy pvp so would be able to give lots of advice in that respect .

We shouldn't need to. Those that enjoy a bit of pvp can see that there is going to be villains to bash in and make there own arrangements. Its unfortunate it has coincided with X4 and many pvp'ers preparing for that.

Besides it rare to get it balanced as anyone that does a bit of zonal pvp knows how quickly things can change.

We might be a big sg but those that showed I doubt you have even heard of. So if the heroes did get a couple more experienced players I'm sure the boot would be on the other foot and you hear complaints of OMG nerf heroes!

Well I don't think the heroes have much to complain about. I asked if you wanted any of us to switch and was met with silence.

The team I had was a pve team with pve powers e.g. stalker with no stealth. It wasn't a min/maxed team and it wasn't done because we wanted control of Sirens Call.

Im also not sure where you got these numbers for villains from. You were not that out numbered (whilst I was there). Cry all you want, I am sorry you didn't enjoy it and weren't able to get enough support toons to deal with the massive influx of stalkers that appear when an emp isn't around.

Personally I was very surprised there wasn't more heroes but like Bru said, its not as if people themselves didn't have enough time to organise some resistance. Perhaps it is an indication of the state of the game when there were no real sg presence as of days of old.

Heroes can have much smaller numbers and still kick the villains in. The reason you were dominated was simply due to you lot being disorganised and lacking a couple of support toons. If you want a demonstration of what an emp and 1-2 blasters can do let me know or just go watch vindicate.

As many many others have said that truely sucks and my deepest sympathies go out to all who are affected .

Hopefully this just be a blip on the grand scheme of things and you all go on to find bigger and better things.

Nothing has been sorted yet. Depends when Stryker's team can fight (waiting on hearing back from him).

P.S. In answer to some of Dirts comments - my toon is ready. It might not be at its best but it doesn't stop it participating and fighting.

With regards to signing up its I am gutted that I am going to miss 1/2 matches in this tournament. However don't try turn this into about me. We all know uni students signed up for this knowing they might not be able to make all the matches (or perhaps complete entire tournament).

I haven't made any comments as to why they have signed up and words fail me as to why you think its best to post questions to me in this topic rather then a pm. The answer for the record is I just want the opportunity to fight the best of the best and have a laugh with my friends.

Now stop worrying about our team and concentrate on your own because I don't want any "Its all a nemesis plot" excuses if we beat you!!!

I prefer to do a Saturday - also need to check with rest of team (3 of us are fine so far). How early Saturday you thinking Stryker?

Need to speak to other members but I know that what ever happens I can't make 15-21 September (so best hope don't get that far ). If vindicate want a match before then I can always speak to my lot.

I understand a lot of people want to get it over and done with but we will struggle with the current proposed plan. I don't know how possible it for us to play a few extra matchs in one night if people need it out of the way or perhaps extending it another week so wraps up 27/28th September?

I don't feel the tournament going on for that long is excessive but guess we see what others have to say.
