for the record all i can do is plan these events nothing more i cant foce people to show up
i do admit that in the ast i have always orgonised a decent sized turn out vilian side but this time i jst didnt have the time to put in
but finaly the reason i cross posted (post here and in the villians thread) was so that both sides had plenty worning to orgonise there own sides and teams to keep it balanced complaning after the fact dosnt help and just coz's problems when it comes time to plan another event

tbth Charnell was talking to me about this on MSN and the set up was a complete joke ... someone from one of the Vills SG should have said what about if 8-12 go over to blue side and help them out and make it into a massive fighting ground....
All i will say on this is Theve now started a battle of SC becoz I know there are gonna be a few heroes farming controll back when it goes to red side.
all that this proved was
A) Gank fests can be fun to fight against for about 15-30 mins
B) There are some ppl that just want teh temps rather than PvP
C) if your not with us were gonna gank you til your with us
and to point c - This is not a good msg to send to New PvPers due to the fact of they could possibly get scared off from PvP entirely if they witness smt like last night

I knew what SC was gonna be ie 30-45 vills and about 5-10 heroes .... To me that is neither fun r a challenge... Next time this happen i propose one thing
If Vills look like there out numbering Heroes by more than 3:2 ... some vills should switch and then have a true battle for SC. That would be a lot more fun and would last way into the early hrs of the morning

last thing i have to say in this thread before it gets locked because of a flame fest is this
its rather interesting that people arent questioning the fact that there was a poor hero turn out or the fact that nobody hero side made the effert to orgonise them into a fighting force instead villians are being blamed for showing up in decent numbers and orgonising into a decent fighting force just as villians side have always dun with these villians even when out numbered which is something that was very common in the older events
and some of the ed side did switch sides and from the broadcast chat there was actuly a few people from both sides swoping back and forth trying different toons and fighting the battle from both sides.
now on to the future im more than happy to try and orgonise a rematch in the fuure but using a midweek time if any of the doomsaying heros would like to join forces with me to get both sides orgonised and make a proper rematch of it then use the pm function or contact me in game @bru and lets see what we can get going

Well I don't think the heroes have much to complain about. I asked if you wanted any of us to switch and was met with silence.
The team I had was a pve team with pve powers e.g. stalker with no stealth. It wasn't a min/maxed team and it wasn't done because we wanted control of Sirens Call.
Im also not sure where you got these numbers for villains from. You were not that out numbered (whilst I was there). Cry all you want, I am sorry you didn't enjoy it and weren't able to get enough support toons to deal with the massive influx of stalkers that appear when an emp isn't around.
Personally I was very surprised there wasn't more heroes but like Bru said, its not as if people themselves didn't have enough time to organise some resistance. Perhaps it is an indication of the state of the game when there were no real sg presence as of days of old.
Heroes can have much smaller numbers and still kick the villains in. The reason you were dominated was simply due to you lot being disorganised and lacking a couple of support toons. If you want a demonstration of what an emp and 1-2 blasters can do let me know or just go watch vindicate.

Sorry I think it's a valid objection to how the event was organised you organised the 3 most prestigous VG's on one side and didn't organise a reasonable opposition for it to be interesting to either them or the opposition. Sounds like a recipe for Epic fail to me..

We shouldn't need to. Those that enjoy a bit of pvp can see that there is going to be villains to bash in and make there own arrangements. Its unfortunate it has coincided with X4 and many pvp'ers preparing for that.
Besides it rare to get it balanced as anyone that does a bit of zonal pvp knows how quickly things can change.
We might be a big sg but those that showed I doubt you have even heard of. So if the heroes did get a couple more experienced players I'm sure the boot would be on the other foot and you hear complaints of OMG nerf heroes!

Is that not a faliure of organisation to expect others to organize for you and when they don't it leaves you with a rather unbalanced event a 'shadow' of it's true potential.
Max by not trying to get Hero PvP SGs into SC made the event a flop... most of the time ppl will not come along if they are not asked form Sgs ... ok i wasnt planing on answering this one anymore but since max is taking the flack im going to
for the record it was me that orgonised the event both on the forums and over the union leaders channel a global channel with members from both hero and villian sgs at the begining of the even as in over a month ago when i started planing it i repetedly asked for a hero sg to step up and orgonis it there side there was no takers
and with me orgonising it it wasnt evil behind the event planing it, instead it was my own sg dark lords of the undeworld evil just taged along so if people would stop trying to lay the blame on maxes feet for poor orgonisation on the heros side and instead of keeping the flame war going look back at my last post and tell me for next time who on the heros side should either be contacted to plan heros side or would volenterr to do exactly that im not a hard man to nail down

Okies If we get 2-3 PvP SGs etiehr side playing and serveral non tagged ppl PvPing in SC it could turn out into an Epic Battle whihc will remain in our heads for ages... my problem when running events is im predominantly on villians and lost touch with mot of the heros sgs for planing things like this so more than happy for somebody blue side to step up and lend a hand planing another rematch/event a couple of weeks or so down the line because these events used to be a great laugh and a great way to give non pvpers a chance to enjoy the carnage and fun

I wasn't even there but i'm going to make a comment.
From what i've personally experienced Charnell moans in PvP zones if there is one more villain than hero so i'm not surprised when Max says heroes weren't as out numbered as stated. Last i'm saying on that.
Now then.... I've been on CoH most of the day and while i've been levelling up on Vills i didn't see one shout out for Hero support in SC.... Was there any shout outs? While zonal PvP will never be balanced with the amount of players on each side i will always swap to the "losing" side to try and make a difference. If i had of known this was going off i would've been there on heroes on anything that was needed.... i would've also brought a friend or 2. We would've killed a few vills between us.
My point is how can you blame anyone be it Max or Bru for heroes not attending when the heroes weren't shouting out for help? Tbh any PvP event that gets organised is awesome seeing as trying to get any PvP action now-a-days is harder than something really hard.

Well seems I was tactless enough to engage in some 'organisational' critisim, whomever chose to play that role.
I like the idea of every SG interested in PvP descend on a zone at an arranged time and have all hell break lose. A very big step up from the regulary organised PvP events, (try to organise my self as a total |\|008, didn't even manage to create enough interest to run 2 Knockout rounds, thought it would be too embarassing to ask people to give up there time for such a small 'event' and cancelled it, in hindsight perhaps I should have ran it anyway just to meet some of the guys involved and give it a go, it might have even gotten of the ground, but then hinsight has a significant +perception buff){also as a reply to someones Sig there you go I tried, I failed, I analysed it and return to discuss it ,No shame here!}
So my advice would be start small, and fairly/well balanced.
Challenge your favourite 'most hated' heroe SG to a night in the arena, have VG 2/3 rpeat the process with Heroe SG's 2/3. Meet there leaders, agree to disagree, put past diffrences aside and agree to co operate to create an enjyable experience for everyone in the ranks of the SG.
Well thats it with the freebies no more advice no more critism ,make of it all what you will.
no offence alphane but this isnt the first time i hae orgonised this event however this is the first time i have had somebody complane about it so much. the simple fact is pvp in this game is unbalanced so there is not point taking it this seriousely it should be something fun and entertaining no matter the outcome its why i do these events.
as for the idea of one or two sgs hitting the arena ye that sounds like a good idea apart from the fact the other reason i orgise these is so that people who dont normal pvp and may not be members oof massive sgs can get to take part but its this over seriouse and constant complaning about pvp that keeps them away from future events so im asking nicely we get your point understand your anoyed with the orgonisation hero side but its after the fact there isnt alot can be dun this time round but next time round you could lend a hand to raleying suport hero side and stop it from happening again

just reading back on this thread there and i think this would be my finaly arguement pooint or what ever for this one since the pots went up this thread only had 3 responces one of which was mine where the villian side had 15 which included a small discusion the fault dosnt lie with the event the event was doomed from the start for the heros as nobody this side took up the tourch and the post count shows there wasnt alot of interest this side in general
