Think entire team gets it - well one of my alts did on someones mission.

Our team of 16 heroes & Shivan Decimators took a shielded turbine generator down in under 3 minutes.

We've taken down several other generators in live instanced raids. Some of the times it was close to the hour mark and was an incredible battle of attrition, being defeated, spawning back in base & tp'ing back to the raid again over & over, but it's doable, and once the generator goes down, the raids almost won.

Taking the generator down is the attackers most achievable method of getting the defenders out of base.
Picture this, it takes less time on the long animation setting the Pylons up than it takes a full defending team to get across town from an outside hospital back to the base portal and fighting through the secret entrance. I've seen it happen several times where the attackers have not even scored once on the anchors, yet past the 50 minute mark they've takne the generator and defeated the defenders out of base, and under a minute later all the Pylons go up, the anchors come down and the raid is won by Pylon Disruption. It happens really fast. So fast and confusing that one VG actually thought they had won.

I've had a long look at our base items, and I'm hard pressed to think of anything I'd rather lose over the Turbine generator.
Is smashing up bases "griefing"? No, I'm afraid it's not. There's things in bases that play lesser or greater roles on raiding, but base stuff is going to be as fair game as any player entering a PvP zone. I find it discomforting too, but that's going to be the reality. Personally I will think long and hard about raids, and I'd not be inclined to do it without a full team of 16 able to drop everything and defend the base in the raid windows.

Also, raids will have peoples best builds, lots of Insps and lots of temps in the way of things like Shivan Decimators and Warburg nukes. Particular characters will get ganked non stop the whole time. I hope people getting involved in raids are going to realise all of this before hand.

If raids will be like that they will be dead from the start. No casual SGs will be doing them.

Hehe thats where you be wrong. If you got a big raid going on (say 12 + on both sides) lag will be your bases best defense. Everything was coming to a stand still where you couldnt really do much.

Its not to hard to defend say the power generator or whatever is your key item. Besides from the sound of it stealing an item of power will be the best bet (charging the defenders trying to overwhelm them).

well not sure about during the day but there is that pvp thing (http://uk.boards.cityofheroes.com/sh...e=0#Post650994) which might be able to enter. Im sure should be able to get you that lv before sunday though if you are on.

Well be thankful we have people on. Sadly I know of a few sgs that are in free fall . As such got to find some space to accomodate them into our supergroup.

Also need to update some of our coalitions as a couple are dead now. Anyone know of any friendly lot that are fairly active?

Well pvp in sirens call has been great of late. I have also bumped into the person who has a bind for "gank gank gank gank gank". It is annoying especially as there is no reason for it. As said if you dont petition the people that give pvp a bad name (when they break the rules, in this case spamming) then you aint doing your part.

Anyway managed to have a great chuckle afew days ago after an epic nite of pvp in sirens call.

Very sneaky defiance snipe for teh defeat

The pvp was coming to an end and everyone was starting to log off. I had switched to various alts that nite and had changed to my stalker to get revenge for my poor dom. My quick revenge killing spree quickly resulted in myself getting close to 60k bounty. As I was so close I asked my bounty in broadcast if I could kill him before he logged. "Yeah sure matey", so I scramble to the heroes base to get the final kill I needed. Anyway on my way I happened to notice far away in the distance someone plummeting off a building. I thought nothing of it until I reached my free kill. It then suddenly dawned on me what was happening. I sent a tell to the person that I was just gonna be 2 mins and to stay where he was. I then shouted on broadcast "im on my way now". This bought me the time needed to hunt around the area. The very sneaky blaster had taken up a snipe position with a nasty dose of defiance awaiting for me to reveal myself. I wanted to say boo as I positioned myself for the kill but thought nah (I knew they had inspirations) and quickly dispatched him with my most accurate attack. Then finished off my free kill chuckling to myself at the sneaky blaster plan and how they would have gotten away with it if it wasnt for them pesky intelligent stalkers .

Well we had our meeting (good turnout thus abit chaotic but job done). Lots of things covered such as recluse strike forces, creating a hero supergroup and promotions.

There were many promotions so wont list them all (but well done all) but now E.V.I.L. has 3 overlords - Thermatron and Blackbone have made it to the dizzy heights of overlords.

That Sunday did a load of pvp too as well. It was quite maniac (one of the best days for pvp in my eyes). We had a base raid (eventually) against the Super Union which was very lagtastic. Horrible but still enjoyable. We then turned up in sirens call and after shouting out on arena (no heroes) had some turn out. Ended up being very fun and enjoyable. It werent none of that every one out for themselves. To stay alive you had to work very much as a team and there were many successes and defeats on both sides. The only complaint of the nite was it showed no sign of stopping and people didnt want to leave (gone 1 am).

We have now created a hero supergroup on union called N.I.C.E. (No-one Is Completely Evil) so if you want to join us give us a shout.

Easy, get confusion - it really make your life much easier. Ive got both but will probably respec out of spore burst to get another power as confusion seems to handle the job just fine. However for yourself having both may be more useful due to soloing (firing off sleep then confusion) and being able to have major crowd control. I tend to team mostly and there are lots of AoE's going off so sleep becomes pretty redundant.

Who was your team mate?

Well I bring it up in our meeting on Sunday and see who else fancies it. Should be able to get a couple of teams I reckon for this. It also be quite fun (and good practise) to fight against each other.

Well there are various little tactics you can use. I think I would prefer fighting you as Exo as I reckon can get past the obvious tactics you probably use. I would much prefer having a heal and turning my partner into a killing machine. It be a case of wearing you out of inspirations which would not take too long.

Well its all theory and I could be a million miles away but somehow our team managed to progress all the way so thermals cant be that bad.

Anyway, is it just you 2 for suckerpunch then? Im positive we will be fielding an entry and maybe even able to form 2. Im sure we could fit you into a team if you are struggling.

We shall be holding a meeting this Sunday at 7.30 pm BST in our base. Afterwards will be having another supergroup photoshoot as some missed the last one and we also now have several new faces.

I guess its how you play them. I try play mine as half defender and half blaster. As you know my corruptor is a more aggressive one with a number of attacks to choose from. Yours Kin is a lot more support orientated with fewer attacks making you more defender orientated (although the few attacks you have do hurt).

In my first match I thought we had lost horribly as I found myself being TK'd. Fortunatly whilst I was incapacitated Blue Freezer was able to do enough damage to take one of the opposition out.

The reason why I love my thermal is due to it being a hybrid of a defender/blaster. I like being able to attack which if you are an empath defender something you are unlikely to do.

Im sure with abit of practise Kinslayer would be fine. Remember the opposition you face make a huge difference. You wont be able to win every fight and what gave us the edge was our damage potential. Blue Freezer was able to do massive burst damage and with me helping we were able to take down most people before one of us fell. If we were using an empath then this wouldnt be really possible due to not being able to do the damage needed. Most healers wont be able to withstand high burst damage attacks which a corruptor and blaster can deal. Yes warmth sucks when compared to an empath but we cant have everything.

I think Exofrost would probably find it hard going too (cant see you being able to do much difference from the fight you lost in). I really enjoyed them fights and if you want im sure can get Blue Freezer to have afew fights against you and Jum.

Got a new one, now what to call it.

Ganking Base Defenses

Had a raid and with everyone spawning in the same spot its quite easy to destroy most attackers. However, as this was a fun raid I didnt mind and allowed them to set up. However, they spawned on our base defenses and the amount of grief we managed to get from some of them was pathetic (but also funny). I happily watched as the base defenses did there job (and 1 crazy mm who wouldnt just stand back gave it everything he had) and destroyed them all. I laughed even more when im standing amongst a stealth suppressor watching the on going carnage/show and some stalkers tried to be sneaky and AS me only to be taken down by the defenses like the rest of his colleagues ... PRICELESS!

Well tonight has been one hell of a nite. Missed the RSF run due to being drunk (my apologies) but was able to do abit of teaming and what not. Alot of my buddies in the pvp tournament "Squished" got knocked out (unlucky guys) but happy to say my team "The Team Yet To Be Named" somehow managed to win it. Max Khaos and Blue Freezer went all the way with some epic battles. Was great fun and teh pvp didnt stop there. After winning went straight back onto live server to help defend our beautiful base from Nirvana in a base raid. I dont think I ever get tired of watching them guns destroy teams .

Was a good experience (expect for one in there sg who seemed to spend more time goading and being abusive then fighting) for some of the newer people to our sg and when Nirvana think they are ready then quite happy to lay the smack down on them in either base raid or arena.

And if that werent enough then did my badge mish (soul taker) to gain an accolade and badge for some of us.

Nope, just general stuff etc - you just have to wait and see.

A special mention to Up urs and Glowing Darkness who were the only people not to register a kill.

I think as a whole city of villains is much more quiet then usual and as such EVIL are very much on the look out for people that are/will be active.

We are established and we are an active sg (although things do seem abit more quiet of late). We are friendly, mad and above all fun supergroup (this ofcourse is in my opinion and not biased in the slightest). Im sure there be afew more replies from others supergroups (im guessing Bloodline, Violators, Knights of Dark Justice) but remember we answered first and call shotgun .

Can you stack various poisonous rays on each other? It says the recharge time is under 30 seconds.
