ParagonWiki is your friend.
You can get info there for:
Emotes
Badges
Accolade Powers: (Hero/Villain)
Unlockable Costumes
Unlockable Weapons
Temporary Powers
For the Great Escape event...
It really is "trial and error". The rewards for that event are based on participation. The more times you do it, the more you learn how the event works and can anticipate the next objective and not fall behind (there are 2 distinct ways to do this event, each with it's own emote reward).
On the other hand, some players have reported issues earning those rewards on certain characters. We still aren't sure how teams, pet damage, or running auras on a support toon affect the rewards because some people earn it without a problem, while others have constant issues. That's where "trial and error" come in again. If it's important for you to earn it, just keep trying and work hard until you get it. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
Regarding the GM response:
The GMs are known to NOT give us direct or specific information on how certain rewards are earned. Figuring it out on our own is supposed to be part of the game. Once in a while we'll get one that makes a statement implying how something works, but for the most part... if it's not directly stated in the game, we have to rely on other player experience (ParagonWiki) for that type of information.
Good Luck! -
CoH actually uses a lot more resources than most people think, even without Ultra Mode. If you are trying to view Ultra at it's highest settings, then I definitely recommend moving them down to the minimum Ultra and start working your way back up from there until you feel like you are at a comfortable balance of "Shiny vs. Performance".
For reference, I have a Radeon 5770 HD and have to run Ambient Occlusion all the way down on "High Performance" just to stay above 20fps consistently. lol -
Indeed. We noticed this right after GR came out. The Quantums will only spawn at the minimum level of the Heroside version of the group.
Even worse, try doing a lvl 30 Carnie mission on Villainside with a Kheld on the team. Carnie only exist as 40+ on Heroside, so that's quite a surprise when you run into a lvl 40 quantum in the middle of a group of lvl 30s. haha
Even though it's not really a bug (more of an oversight really), I sent a /bug report anyway. -
In short, no. You can only bind one power execution to a command line.
The longer answer: There are some tricks that can allow us to run more than one power on a single keypress, but it's still very limited and can get very complicated to get running effectively and reliably.
A slight exception to this would be toggle powers. You can program a whole string of powexec_toggle_off commands in a single line and they will all turn off with a single keypress. A string of powexec_toggle_on commands can be used on a single bind as well, but you must press the bind multiple times for each one to turn on. -
Quote:I've certainly seen the Rikti kill Mitos. I usually go around soloing the Mitos while the team is still taking down a few towers, and there are times when at least one of them gets killed or has just a sliver of health left by the time I get around to it.Okay Chaos first of all I have seen this tactic used countless times and I have NEVER seen the Rikti survive long enough to even damage a single Mitos let alone kill one .. Not saying it isn't possible but highly unlikely.
Like you said, it's not usually very often that one actually dies, but I think it's done mainly for agro reasons. The Rikti can be focused on the Mitos and the Mitos can be focused on the Rikti, leaving the team alone while they take out the pylons. -
Without further purposeful testing, I can only say that ambushes are excluded from Atlas Park, Ouroboros, and The Hive. I'd imagine there would be several other zones like Galaxy City, Midnighter's club, PocketD, and maybe even the Sewers that are not eligible too, but I wouldn't be able say with any certainty. Stranger things have slipped through the cracks.

Quote:Yep, I change mine from time to time for no apparent reason.I know that I've seen Zombie Man's and possibly Master Blade's icons changed since mine was changed.
My latest one is a picture of my old TV after my cat decided to knock it over somehow.
Pretty nasty, huh? I put Velcro on the base of the new one so she can't do it again. lol
I'll attempt to change my avatar again now..
Edit:
Looks like it worked like a charm first try! Now it's a simple "Freedom Horde" logo.
OP:
Try using a different image format, or make sure the image is already rescaled to a smaller size. Selecting a BMP or a file that is too large (file size, not just pixel size) may cause it to give you an error. -
As mentioned, the Titan (and other ambushes) will spawn when the Mission holder enters the next eligible zone (usually where the mission is located). Also as mentioned, the eligible zones are limited to not include many griefing areas like Atlas and the Hive, but you can still spawn the Titan in other zones by exiting the mission via Ouro (not a valid ambush zone) and zoning to IP or Talos for example. You might even be able to do it with Babbage during Synapse TF, if you felt the need for some reason. lol
-
Oh yeah. That too.. The dropdown menu is called "Hide..." and the OP should make sure "Recipes missing ingredient" is not checked. That will ensure it will show up on the list if it hasn't been purchased already.. even if they don't have enough merits.
-
As mentioned, if you already bought it, it shouldn't even show up on the list anymore. That should make it pretty easy to tell, regardless what your merit situation is.

This might be the key. There is a large portion of us that are having similar issues with any driver higher than 10.9, but it seems to come and go randomly, only happen on specific toons, or some people don't have the issue at all. If possible, try rolling back to 10.9 and see how it goes.

Color does not really matter because the Phantom Army color is customizable too anyway.
As for what costume pieces.. I actually have a toon like that so I'll get back to you after this TF.
Edit:
Head: Full Masks
-Face: Mask Full 1 > Demise
Upper Body: Tight
-Chest: Tights > Sharp
-Gloves: Smooth/Bare > Full > None
-Belt: Standard > Cloth
Lower Body: Tight
-Pants: Tights > Sharp
-Boots: Smooth > Tights > None
Auras: Starburst Glow > Starburst Body
The costume my character actually uses has some extra features on it, but this should get you the basic look. Good luck! -
doh! I'd come help you guys with whatever ton helps fill your team, but I'll be going for my "last" badge on MB (MoLRSF) this same night.
Good luck to you, and if you are running another later in the night or another time, you know where to find me. -
Quote:You don't have to worry about "losing your spot" by going to Hospital or Base while in the Hive either.Oh cool so we don't have to run all the way back from the hospital to get back into the sewers now? Nice.
For what it's worth, the only reason I noticed was because I saw the drones when I was running around getting the new exploration badges. haha -
Quote:But turning one of them on automatically turns off the other one anyway. The following command will switch to the opposite one on each press:Well I need it to turn ninja run both on and off and beast run both on and off. I'm pretty sure I need a rotating bind, but I might be able to do it with 2 instead of 4 if I thought about it awhile.
KEY "powexecname Beast Run$$powexecname Ninja Run"
It's the same way some people make binds that toggle back and forth between Hover and Fly.
But if you are saying you also have an "OFF" in your cycle to turn them both off, then yes, you'd need the rotating bind, OR you can just use a "control" to disable both instead:
Control+KEY "poexectoggleoff Beast Run$$powexectoggleoff Ninja Run"
As for the bug, I cannot duplicate it on my end. My bind files are still working normally. If your old bind files are still working fine, but any new ones you create are being read incorrectly, I'd say the problem is with the new files somehow. Are you sure it's not trying to impose any special formatting on it?.. or what if you try "quoting" the filename?:
SHIFT+BUTTON5 "bindloadfile "BeastRun2.txt"$$powexecname Beast Run" -
If I'm not mistaken, the Drones and Hospitals were added to a few more zones at the same time as the new Hazard Zone exploration badges/accolades in i19.
Edit:
Yep... here's a source...
ParagonWiki: Issue 19
Quote:Hospitals In All Zones:
Hospital gurneys in all Trial and Hazard zones.
And a nurse or medic selling inspirations in all hospitals. -
Check your CityofHeroes directory for another folder with your account name on it.
Rename it temporarily and try to log back in again.
If it allows you to log in, then you probably had a corrupted playerslot.txt (or other) file in that directory. -
Are you using a different text editing program to make the files than you were before? make sure you are using "Plain text" documents so the program isn't changing the formatting internally.
Other than that, try reversing the commands just to see if there are similar results. For example:
SHIFT+BUTTON5 "powexec_name Ninja Run$$bind_load_file BeastRun.txt"
(on a side note, you don't need rotating bind files to switch back and forth between Ninja Run and Beast Run, unless you have more than just those 2 options in your cycle.)
-
Quote:ahh, so basically, you have a different emote (and message?) each time you hit enter until it cycles back around.. That's kinda neat.pamphlet.txt emotes pamphlet when I hit enter to talk and then cycles to the next emote.
So is that the only file/command that is hanging up? or are all of them in your cycle having the same issues? It would be strange for just one of them to act differently. -
Just curious.. what does pamphlet.txt contain?.. and why do you have it re-load every time you press enter?
Back to the issue.. I have not noticed any oddities in any of my own binds.. and lord knows I created a lot of funky stuff. lol -
I don't have the ncsoft launcher. As far as i'm aware, all it currently does is launch the updater anyway.
On a side note, I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed. The coh progam itself is allowed to have more than one copy running at once. The reason the updater isn't allowed to run mutiple at a time is simply the fact that it would be messy to have 2 updaters trying to update the same program at the same time.
I'd imagine that once you log into the game, no matter which launcher you use, you should be able to launch another one unless they specifically program it to detect the open coh and refuse to re-launch.. in which case we'd probably still be able to use tricks like the "project coh" command to bypass the launchers for multiple instances anyway. -
I found a Villain Alignment mission that was loaded with "7th generation" PP that would be perfect for the badge. They mission is loaded with only PPs and are mostly minion class, but still count.

Quote:Two things to add regarding that statement..To give you a personal example: I have a purple proc (To Hold) in my controller immobilization power and it was firing off during my Sister Psyche TF
You don't lose the proc aspect of IOs when you EX down, and you also don't lose set bonuses from Purple sets. -
It doesn't matter if it's an SO or an IO. They don't become invalid just because you are EX'd, just like they wont expire if you SK up.
