Did you ever get a fix for this? I also installed the game to a non-protected area. I even went into the registry (regedt32) and modified the permissions on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NCsoft to allow everyone read/write. I still get the NCAccess asking for an Admin Password.

You should make her submerge (disappear) whenever someone gets into melee range.

Quote:I think you are looking at this wrong. As you stated your categories are just too broad. You have two sets there.Hey, folks. So there's been a lot of talk about how we should or should not handle gender-specific designs in COH costume sets.
Now I throw it open to you! Let's continue the workshop now here on the forums. In light of the controversy, how would you guys approach this hypothetical set?
--Do we cut out most or all of the female specific design and focus on the spacesuit +accessories?
--Is this an exception to the new rule somehow, and we go with both male and female options as shown in the sketch?
--Is the compromise I proposed (80% spacesuit w/ some female details worked in) acceptable to everyone?
--What other ideas do you have?
As with the Player Summit Costume Workshop, we have no preconceived notions about what should be in this set. So it's all up to you guys. Take the opportunity now to help us define a good rule of thumb for future sets. I'm here to help guide the conversation and tell you when something's technically impossible, but you guys are in the driver's seat for this discussion.
Let's see what we can come up with together.
A space suit set which is mostly gender neutral. Add a few more accessories and you are set.
A Flash Gordon/Jetsons look. Design some male pieces to go with the female pieces. I would prefer to wait to have cohesive sets. -
Quote:I found the power quite useful in the battle with Lord Recluse. As well as helping with snafu's in pickup groups. Your fighting one group and either someone accidentally picks up another group or there is an ambush. Drop Blackhole on the new people and go back to kicking the others' arses. Granted the fear powers usually works pretty well for that.... I do agree that blackhole's persistence as a power is kind of baffling, though.
Synapse, is there any chance you can tell us what you think Blackhole's actual PURPOSE is, as a power? Because to date, all of the purported purposes it has have been demonstrated to be not met by the power. -

ZOMG!! Castle is Nemesis!!!!!!!

No... Castle is Hannibal Smith. How can you miss such a classic reference? -
Dr. Brainstorm,
I keep hearing everyone complaining about villians not getting Illusion and Masterminds not getting a primary. I was just thinking that Illusion would make a great Primary for mastermind. The tweaking would be extensive. But something too look at.
1 - Spectral Wounds
1 - Phantom Army
2 - Propel (from Gravity... make some of the damage heal back like spectral wounds)
6 - Solidify (see below for what it adds to minions)
8 - Group Invisibilty
12 - Spectral Terror
18 - Agnise (see below for what it adds to minions)
26 - Phantasm
32 - Psychic Scream (From Dominator Psionic)
You would have to tweak the minions powers... (more damage but have some of it heal back in time to keep the feel)
Basic Minion Art would sorta look partially invised. Solidify would make them solid. Agnize would give them an aura.

Oh magick ITunes. What should I listen to now....

Soul to Squueze --- Red Hot Chili Peppers
Factory Girls --- (feat. Lucinda Williams) Flogging Molly
Nobody's Fool --- Avril Lavigne
Victim Of A Foolish Heart --- Joss Stone
Tear Away --- Drowning Pool
Joey --- Concrete Blonde
No Regrets --- Aesop Rock
Duck and Run --- 3 Doors Down -
I just tried a timed save victim mission (level 43 crey mission). The victim once saved said he needed to give me something from his office. So it turned into an escort mission. No problems. He didn't seem to get hurt from the aoe's the boss of the mission was nailing me with. I end up taking down all the baddies. He is still just following me. I take him to the only two offices in the mission. Nothing. I take him to a set of cubes. Nothing. For the life of me, I could not find this blokes office. Is it possible to change it so the victim makes a bee line for where ever he needs to go once all the bad guys are defeated?

Sam Sparks (a.k.a. Samantha Wagner)
In street clothes
Sam waving hello
Sam about so slap someone
Finally Sam trying to stare down the competition
Yeild dang it. -
sshhhh man.... You could have gotten 2 or 3 good nerfs in without complaint due to pity.
**** I kid. I kid****** -
Just FYI... Easiest way to test fly. You will need a little help. Get a teammate to stand in front of positron. go down the street. select the teammate and hit follow.
Another sad bit of info.... (Back when elude could be made perma)
Elude (no speed enh) + swift (default one speed enh) + quickness (default one speed enh) = 4 slotted fly. -
My thoughts exactly. Could Kublai be one of Lord Recluse's minions? Are they already doing internal tests of base raids coming in COV? That could mean COV beta may open by july or August.

Going to have to street sweep a couple of hours to work this dbl death off I got within 20 seconds thanks to the Dark rezzor bringing me back in the middle of combat.

Debt is no big deal... you don't have to work off debt before you level. Yes debt makes leveling slower. But no big deal.

Well I gave up on missions cause they were easy too easy or too hard and not worth the time invested vs the streets

You haven't gotten far enough into the game to get any of the good story line arcs. Let's just say the 5th column and lost become very interesting. I even hit an arc where COT where the "good guys." In issue two, mission xp is greatly increased.

This Power is best so folks use it, okay now this is the bes power so we use it, okay now this, now this and so on. So now folks cant use certain powers to get by, they will have to combo it up or develop "strategy" according to some.

You say you created characters that fit your style time and social patterns, If this is true why are you worried about the best power to use. Also playing 7 characters occassionally will not get any of them levelel quickly. If you only play 5-10 hours a week, I would pick one character and play him/her. Especially, if you are worried about leveling and not worried about fun. Which sounds like what you are interested in since you only street grind.
I have four characters (two of which are under 10). I play one regularly. I have been only playing him for the last month. I retired my first character,Sam, because the style of play didn't feel right. I may bring her back out of retirement once Marshall gets to 50, or I will start playing one of the other 2 characters which I keep around to group with. -

Then the purple patch went in, and it caused about 200 more balance issues with support AT's than it fixed.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know why people are so hopped up over the "purple patch." When I walk down the street and see a purple person, I run the other way or make sure I keep plenty of room between us. That is how it is exposed to go. Fighting a purple, even if it a minion, should be a death sentence. Like Robin soloing the Joker.
I like walking down the street and seing an orange boss with an lt. in tow. I start thinking... "Can I take them?" "I have an aim and a respite, I should be able to take them." I play 2 hours a night and 12 hours over the weekend and I was still able to hit 30 in a month. With the increased xp per mission, I should be able to hit 50 by the years end. Nearly 4 months of fun. Then I will go back to my original character elec/elec blaster which I found boring because I could one shot yellow lts.
And if you think I have a strong build, check the scrapper forum. Super Reflexes is considered gimped compared to the others. I like the risk that Super Reflexes offers. A boss could totally own me in 4 hits at my current level. From what I understand, this will change to one hit in the future. At which time I will more then likely duo a lot with one of my friends.
Now I know some of the "support AT's" can't take a single even level boss and lt. This is why I offer to duo a lot. Unfortunately, a lot of people want large groups and street grind. This is not my thing. Killing a mass of people doesn't make me feel like a hero. Purposely helping the people getting attacked (hassled, etc) or missions where someone is in trouble. That is what heroes do. How often have you read a comic where the hero ran around herding minions back to his buddies to be slaughtered?
I like where they are going with this game. I felt the early levels were too easy. I with these fixes in place, it should now be interesting to hit 20.
