After some more searching I think my OP was a bit premature, seems there are as many stalkers posting that everyone and there dog can see them, as there is posting that nothing can see them at all. My goal with my current build is to build the rock to the stalkers scissors, a proactive hunter, not just reactive. Solo isnt so bad, I can see I might have to find a sniper or scrapper with +perception for big game hunting though and a more reactive strategy.

Yeah, I forgot about the cap. Either the guy experienced a bug or none of the heroes had high enough perception. That said, I dont imagine hunting someone who cant be seen anymore than 10ft away being very productive.

To stalkobot, Surely you would keep hide on, drop invis(possibly turn on stealth), AS then run?

Found this post on the American forums and wonder if I should ignore stalkers in pvp and make a new build to kill something else instead.

Here is the deal folks like it or not if I ran Invis with Hide I could stand in a group of 8 heros with up to LvL 50 powers and still not be seen.

I could not attack but I was unseen. I tested this for about an hour tonite and hope to test more later.

If I got in and hit BU then toggled stealth and then AS I could pull off AS b4 anyone was the wiser. In large groups I was shortly owned but hey I got mine first right.

There were ALOT of heros in RV tonite too many to count.
If I ran hide and stealth alone I was also seen and beat on but not offten killed in 1 on 2 or 3.


The fact is it seems even with caped +persep on heros you can remain unseen as a stalker runing hide and invis.

If you knew this great if not now you do. Hope it helps you get ready for I7 when ever it hits live.

Except that they are effective in the hands of a competent stalker. I read a few days back about some stalkers planning on taking invis to stack with hide to reach and stay at the stealth cap for as long as they like. I'm not sure if that works or not, if so you could be invisible from 10feet or more for as long as you like. So, you WOULDNT have to team, AND would be virtually unhuntable even to large hero teams.

Whats the longest you ever stalked someone? I remember one stalker saying he spent 30 minutes on one target. I think I've only managed about 10.

I cant say I've seen any flaming posts, and there are at least 3 responses from stalkers which are unsypathetic. I'm not going to tell you how to play, but I play my stalker in such a way that I could prolly turn off stealth if I wanted.

Also, RV is only on test just now so maybe things will still be tweaked before going live.

It depends. If the scrapper has gone out of his way to pick all the stalker hunting tools simply so he can kill stalkers then yes.

This has always been the case, you must just not have noticed until recently.

I built a thug MM on the test server, got into a full team of other thug MM and we blazed away through the levels
Massive fun what with all the noise and the empty shells lying around
Anywho, I have trouble finding a 2ndary that works with it. I'm thinking dark would work best mostly for that great heal. At the moment I have traps but I'm not too impressed.

a. You have pretty much 0 chance of finding them.
b. They only need to take a few steps and brawl you out of snipe.

Yet its perfectly OK to call people names for playing the game the way its meant to be played. Look, it doesnt matter if your duelling, helping out with meteors, dancing, doing missions, picking your nose or admiring the scenery. Its an open pvp zone, if you want to duel go to the arena.

i ask them "want help" they say "yes".
i destroy 2 bases defense and help them to finish thelast one. and see them, while i was sitting one the floor and congrtulating them, turning there power one me and kill me.

and after they say, it's a pvp zone.

sorry maybe like the guy who made this post i am a naiv person to think taht fairplay is important but this exemple was not PvP.
