uh...Slight exaggeration methinks? And given CM is the only buff blasters can realistically get that stops them being held to smeg; surely that's more reason to look at giving them some defence; whilst lowering CM.

Not counting epic powers, blaster defence is in there huge damage, just like a dominator defence is in its controls. Only thing is you can nullify one of those with a lvl 8 power. And nah! thermal/ice shields wont cut it. And if you still dont believe a heavy is less trouble than a blaster/emp duo, tell that to the blaster who killed me in melee, in my pillbox, while i had a heavy with me. A decent change to CM (IMO) would be to increase the time it lasts while stoping it from stacking.

Ok, we have a, say stone brute with heavy and me with my blaster and heavy. Id be hard-pressed to kill the brute with or without my heavy if he'd be just standing still, but should I try, the villain heavy can come next to me and oneshot me. Balanced?

Empath/blaster duo is not severe nor problematic. I have 0 problems with that.

You would if it left you with 2 powers in your primary to fend off the blaster and kill the empath while waiting for the buffs to tick down. As for the stone brute, I prolly wouldnt waste my time, me and another villain must have wasted 10 minutes on a stone tank the other day. Against other AT's, I have less hp than a blaster and simply move around in such a way that the heavy rarely attacks me. Sure it gets me sometimes, but the win/loss ratio in that situation is pretty balanced.

I dont see why you cant grab your own heavy and use it to kill the opposing heavy owner, there is usually a free one around. This is far less severe than an empath/blaster duo exloiting bugs in CM, but no one gives a monkeys about that as they are likely to be playing the blaster.

Fair enough. But you cant expect others to return the favour. I've been polite enough in the past to sit out and make the sides more balanced only have members of your sg repeatedly tp and kill me anyway.

I dont find them too much trouble on my dom either but I can see how a brute might have problems if he tried to wade into combat. Maybe you can pick up tp foe and tp the heavy away round a corner. Or tp the owner and use something like air sup, intimidate, or web grenade, followed by some punching. On your blaster you could just get an empath friend then stand next to the heavy using the boombox emotes and eating cheezy puffs.

edit: I dont really care about heavies either way.

I see what you mean though. I was trying to slow a ton of heroes down in BB while they were doing shivans, but with the superior numbers it was like throwing eggs at a tank. I kept going at them anyway for the challenge. Speaking of BB I got almost non stop attitude for hours at the weekend. Just for killing a few heroes I got told "Flush your head down a toilet and drown you ugly midget" and other fantastic one liners. These guys were actually quite funny but I suspect they were'nt enjoying themselves much. Eventually they left, then an illusion/rad troller started up because:

I used inspirations.

He was dumb enough to leap into some shivans AND freaks during the hold supression period, making his debt my fault. (I suspect this was to force me to let him go or just give him something to complain about).

I used tk to push him towards some stalkers, but because a turret on the villain base shot him he assumed I was trying to get him debt. This is even though I released him from TK and he escaped debt free.

Ah, it wasnt all bad though. We had a lot of fun, and I fought a nice regen for what felt like ages.

I use it on my /thermal. The idea being to debuff with the primary and buff/heal/debuff with the secondary. I'm sure a different secondary could push the damage up a bit.

Just hit 50 last night on my dom so who knows....

Dunno about archery for blasting, but trick Arrow rocks.

I find its alot easier to find duelers in the zones, and I don't like the small maps in the arena. There's alot more space to fight in the zones.

Pocket D "arena" was fairly busy during last weeks lowbie PVP event, and not just the with the lvl 5's who turned up for it. It would be good to be able to choose the map though.

I'm looking forward to the poison trap, mostly because people on the US forums are whining about it being "Teh ZOMG!!!! overpowered!!!".
FFG will be nice though on a corruptor.

I've been leveling my sonic/traps and although he's bags of fun I might try some other toons this week. Especially seeing as I was MR Boring last week and used the same toon all the way through :P
