I think it's maybe because they're the invaders, so as it's our patch, Longbow have more resources - and I'm pretty sure that the Arachnos forces in Bloody Bay are stronger than the Longbow forces there, as the situation is reversed, and it's us who are invading their turf.

Are there any longbow or arachnos outside the bases in BB? I know there's always one on each side which manages to end up near the opposing factions base but I cant remember seeing any from either faction just wandering around like the longbow in SC. Lots of freaks and CoT though.

hehe. I rememeber bouncing out the base and seeing the camp robot c3po sitting in the nearest pillbox (actually I had no idea what it was at the time, but it COULD have been c3po). Land almost right next to him for a closer look and before i can say "omg! its positron! DIVE DIVE!" he takes me to 1hp. Was lucky to escape :O)

Are they especially adept at taking control of pillboxes? They may be troublesome but there is lots of perception available for stalker busting builds.

I want to make it clear that im firmly in the camp of "anything goes inside a pvp zone".

However, I wanted to point out that the AVs will NEVER go down unless there is a concentrated effort of taking them down. They are tough enough to survive a zoneful of heroes or villains. Especially since the AVs of different sides will never spawn at the same time..

I also consider the current 'fight for the control of the zone' system utterly failed, because you get better rewards for NOT trying to fight each other..

What rewards? For me its reward enough knowing I beat someone or even just put up a good challenge.
The AV's seem ok to me. As you say, its pretty easy to stop the AV's spawning. If your loosing so badly that they do spawn then maybe a big powerful signature AV which is difficult to take down is exactly what you need to swing the balance.

Thats the game. Heroes want the pillboxes, so do villains. Someone has to loose, sometimes even both sides. It has nothing to do with sabotaging anything. I dont see why someone should have it there way just because they want it. I want all the accolades but I dont have any because cant be bothered.

I dont know should the RV AV hunts be declared a special case or not. It takes multiple teams of people on one side to even attempt beating the AVs, and on the other side all the opposing side needs to do is gain control of one pillbox (can do it easily solo) and the AVs will despawn and the beating AVs is foiled. And you got an awful lot of angry people on one side.

I think your being a bit silly tbh. Most people get annoyed with pvp from time to time. I dont see any reason to quit all the other zones just because RV gives you trouble and some people dont agree with you on a forum.

Maybe you can provide evidence and quote where people call others rubbish, I cant remember seeing that. People have also supplied alternative ways to deal with heavies but those werent good enough. (maybe TPing a heavy into a bus shelter is morally wrong or something, might hurt the poor things feelings).
