I can't really add much to this, but I have noticed that my GeForce 9600 GT has stuttering issues in CoH if I have any level of Anisotropic Filtering enabled.

Try disabling Anisotropic Filtering and let us know if that helps you too.

I had been hoping it was something I screwed up somewhere causing the issue.

I guess I'll see if deleting all stored character names and setting the file to read only will let me at least know when I see someone I know.

I havn't done a midnight raid in a few weeks, so I thought I should probably post an announcement here that I'm going to be starting up the weekly midnight raid now that The Holidays are over.

I also usually prefer more than 24 hours notice on these things and well it's almost 2:30 AM so I blew that deadline.

Hero side Hamidon raid, Friday January 7th 2011.
Planned start time is midnight eastern, 11 central, 10 mountain, 9 pacific, (Uhhhh map says 2:30 AM EST is 6:30 PM AEDT, so...) January 8th 4PM AEDT, 3PM AEST, 2:30 PM ACST, 3:30PM ACDT, 2PM AWST

These raids tend to fill up well before the announced start time.

I probably screwed up the Australian time zones, and you might want to double check my conversions if you are in those time zones.
Anyone have a handy time zone calculator?

Please join JFA2010 for most future raid announcements. I usually just post the start time there, I'm probably lazy.

I am having an issue with my player notes misidentifying other players that have spaces in their names. I could not find any information with a quick search, so I would like to ask here if anyone else has experienced this problem and can offer a solution.

My playernotes.txt file seems to be automatically adding a comma instead of a space when a character's name is more than one word.

The file appears to store player information with the format
"<Global Name>" "<Number of Stars>" "<Character names>" "<User generated notes>"

For example, the entry for my global friend, @My Buddy, who I've seen on two characters, "Rachel Maribelle's Buddy" and "Some other Alt" should appear in the file as:
"My Buddy" "5" "Rachel Maribelle's Buddy, Some other Alt" "A fictional friend of mine, any semblance with another person, living, dead, or imaginary is totally coincidental"

What I actually see in my file is:
"My Buddy" "5" "Rachel, Maribelle's, Buddy, Some, other, Alt" "A fictional friend of mine, any semblance with another person, living, dead, or imaginary is totally coincidental"

The result in game is that any time I see any character named Rachel, or any of the other listed words, the global notes will insist it is @My Buddy and place 5 stars over their heads.

Is this a known issue that I can't find any information on, or is this something totally new to everyone?

I just did another test.
Hero, Controller, solo the entire time, no other teams, Winter Lord droned in King's Row.
Kicked To Atlas.

I have not verified it myself, but someone did say that they quit their team and tried to enter solo after getting kicked once.

I am also not sure of their alignment.
I had thought maybe it was a mixed team thing, but last year a group of heroes and vills could enter different portals and work together in the same instance.

I am going to go get a Hero and test trying to enter solo on a Hero from a Hero zone and see how that goes.

Another attempt on Justice with the same results.

Just tried again, it started loading, then after about load 10% progress it kicked me back to Atlas with the rest of the team.

I have encountered the same problem twice now on Justice.

I should probably add something that could be considered on topic and/or useful.

"JFA2010" is one of the populated Justice Server global chat channels.
Task Forces, Strike forces, Raids, teams, player events, and general socializing.

The channel is lightly moderated, and content is generally rated somewhere between "T for Teen" and "M for Mature"

It automatically silences new members when they join to prevent spammers from annoying the heck out of everyone, and most of the mods check for new people everyone once in awhile to un-silence them.

Hmm, I've been meaning to ask this for awhile.
Does anyone else look at Talia's avatar and think "Talia makes a cute carnie"?

My guess is that they already had some kind of market purge or refund script coded, or that such a script would be easier to code than a merge script.

Once both markets are empty they just make a new empty market and point everyone to it.

I just realized this is going to take away one of the big things I was looking forward to in GR!

I was going to mock Villains complaining "ooooooh it's not fair," and I could go "well, become a Hero!" and they'd be like "no, I want 2b evil!" and I could be all like "Haha! Then it's your own fault you suck!" and they could go "nnnnnnuuuuuuuuuu, it's truuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeee" and be all emo some more.


Now all I've got it "Wow, good thing they merged so we still don't have any supply!"

I think you're over thinking his over thinking and missed the joke.

I mostly expect to see people that were complaining the red market sucks to complain the new merged market sucks.
