  1. Congratulations Protector on another successful raid!
  2. The way that the Hami Aggro team has done it in the past is to stack +Regen on the Taunter to counter the effects of the blasts from the Green Mitos and Hamidon. Although Empaths and Pain Domination powersets are quite useful, they are wanted more for their Regeneration buffs (Adrenaline Boost, Pain Bringer, Regeneration Aura, etc) and far less for their ability to heal. Healing just isn't as useful in Hamidon 2.0 as it was for the previous incarnation.

Your emphasis on healers may be due to your experience with the Rikti Mothership Raid. If that is the case, I caution you: that raid is very different from a Hamidon Raid.

I'm not looking at it as competition.

  4. Paragon City Hamidon Raid, in the Hive.

Saturday, September 11th, 3 PM Pacific (4 PM Mountain, 5 PM Central, 6 PM Eastern).

kidengineer will be leading the raid/coordinating the teams.

    A few points to remember:
    * The Hive is restricted to level 45+ Rogues, Heroes, and Vigilantes.
    * Warburg Biological Mutagen and Chemical Burn warheads greatly help. If you can please acquire one for the raid.
    * A full tray of Essence of the Earth (known as EoE) inspirations is very useful (but not absolutely necessary).
    * The raid team leaders will use the Request channel to coordinate the teams. Please monitor the channel for instructions, but do not use it unless you are one of the raid team leaders
    * It will hold 50 characters, if the Hive fills up, do not leave the zone, there is no guarantee you'll get back into that instance.
    * The Hamidon will spawn (bloom) 3 sets of Mitos at (75%, 50%, and 25%), in addition to the mitos that initially spawn with him.
    * After Hamidon is defeated you will have the option of selecting 53 Reward Merits or a random Hamidon Origin Enhancement if you are level 47+.

If you can, please acquire Bio warheads/nukes from Warburg prior to the raid. They help tremendously.

Please acquire Chemical Burn warheads/nukes from Warburg as well. We're planning to plow through the last bloom.

We may attempt a completely evac-less raid, depending on attendance.
  5. I can't find the right words to say. But sometimes words aren't important.

My thoughts are the same as everyone else. And that is what is important.
  6. When you mentioned multiple AVs I immediately considered the hero version. My error.
  7. 2 Rads should have been enough, assuming they were using both toggles (Enervating Field and Radiation Infection) and using Lingering Radiation each time it's available.

No one had the Dimensional Grounding Ray? No one got the temp power or no one put in on their tray?

    Odd...

    CoP Trial Run

I made a tactical error yesterday, I did the Hero morality mission and became a Hero on my badging toon (*shakes fist at Thin Line*). So I will be bringing a support toon (Read as a Rad) loaded with Nukes and Shivans.
  10. Rogue Isles Hamidon Raid in the Abyss.

My one and only badger will be armed to the teeth.

I will help others get equipped as well.
  12. Congratulations Protector!

Also I'd like to thank Hyperstrike for bravely stepping up and leading the Yellow Mito Aggro team.

    Job: well done!

Sounds like a plan to me.

    Actually, I failed.

I couldn't adequately sum up my thoughts in a single sentence. I used to be able to, and then I took a college English course. It screwed up my ability to be laconic.
  15. Hero vs. Vigilante

I believe that the line between a Hero and a Vigilante is the Law (the rules of society governing the country in which he lives and operates). A hero does what must be done, but within the confines of the Law. A vigilante, however, lives by a Code (a set of principles or morals) that in most regards adheres to the Law, but always follows his Code when it conflicts with the Law.

A good example of a vigilante and this Code vs the Law in the comic book world would be someone like Rorschach from The Watchmen. Murder, in that world is illegal, but he does not have a problem killing a villain, even after subduing him. His Code would not allow him to allow this criminal to live, knowing what the criminal had done and would do yet again if given opportunity.

While both the Hero and the Vigilante do what is "right", the Hero has limits to what he will do once the criminal is subdued; The Vigilante, however, does not have that restriction and is willing to play the proverbial role of "judge, jury, and executioner."

    Villain vs. Rogue

In my opinion, the difference between the Villain and the Rogue is similar to the difference between the Hero and the Vigilante: the existence of a Code; but in this instance regardless of the Law. A classic Villain would have no problem hurting or injuring innocent people and bystanders to forward his plans. A Rogue may have a problem with such a plan because of the potential for collateral damage and injury to bystanders; any action that violated his code would be unacceptable to him.

For example, both the Villain and the Rogue would rob a bank or kill someone for profit. The Villain would have no problem walking in the front door shooting at everyone in the building in order to gain access to the vault or destroying an entire occupied building to murder a target. The Rogue, however, would seek an alternative method to avoid endangering bystanders if it violates his code.
