He says that, yes, he does care, yes, he's hurt she betrayed him, but he's actually even more frustrated by the whole situation and admits he doesn't really care whether Cole or the Resistance wins. He'll fight hard for his side, but in the end, having a victor either way to him would have meant things like Cleopatra betraying him wouldn't happen anymore.
Huh. Well I take that back in, all of them are candidates for a heel face turn. And one of them has basically already done it.

So yea, I could see them all being allies.

This, really. Martial Assault just doesn't have a proper primary to pair up with. Mind Control probably would be the best bet.

EDIT: Ninjitsu Control would be epic.
  3. Ok, new idea:

Replace the T9 in Martial Combat with FINISHER, which has a unique kill animation for everything it brutally murders.

    And it says FATALITY after.

And with Praetoria trashed and Cole's empire gutted, it was pretty inevitable survivors would end up on this side of the pond. Honestly I'm hoping one of the revamps deals with where to stick th refugees, maybe mix in some Praetorian low level mobs, like in Independence Port.
Maybe we rebuild Galaxy City and stick them there.

I do like that you can use it out of combat for styling.

But... what if our characters lack faces?

Or maybe the addition of a fifth, actually grey alignment. True Neutral. Rogue is still villainish, vigilante is still heroic. I have several characters that I'd classify as True Neutral.

If Cole becomes the new statesmen then I call foul because Cole appears to have died horribly.

Also I'll stab Cole in the face until he actually dies horribly and stick him in an E.G.A.D. holding cell for good measure.

EDIT: GG means we have been helping free Praetoria from Cole. So in a way, yes, we have been allied with Praetoria for the greater good, that greater good being killing Tyrant.
  8. So after the defeat of their leader and destruction of their city, they switch sides? I can maybe see this for Aurora and Pendragon, but Marauder? He seemed to be the most loyal of the Praetors.
  9. Nemesis isn't personally powerful enough to be a head villain. Also, you can't be the face of villainy if you have no face.

Recluse is most certainly to face of villainy in the game. He was the cover of City of Villains for cryin' out loud. I love the idea of him ruling entire other-dimensional Earths. Spreading his empire out while the world thinks hes weakening. Then Longbow tries a direct attack on him and surprise! They get their ***** kicked by more soldiers than could physically be kept on the island.

Then they have to conclude that Recluse is a Time Lord and his tower is a really big TARDUS.

    Nature Affinity?

The set looks very unique graphically. I expect to start seeing full forests sprout up in warehouses soon.
  11. Any test that doesn't have to do directly with farming should not use farming as it's basis. Farming is, in almost all cases, not part of the game. it is player content put in the game, and (iirc) something the devs do not condone. Therefore, any tests of Extracted Essence inconceivability should stay as far from a farm as physically possible.

The most extreme content you are going to find in the actual game solo is going to be Dark Astoria. If you must test the extremes, test there. Even that is only a small subset of the game, however, so you should also test in tip and paper missions.

    But not farming.
  12. I will be making a Archery/MC blaster, and if FINISHER isn't added it shall be my catch phrase.

  14. The problem with a true sandbox game is that there'd be no true objective. You wanna play this game as a true sandbox? Ignore contacts and level up by cleaning the streets. Otherwise objectives are being given to you, even in the case of the radio and newspaper. But no one likes just cleaning streets for 50 levels, so that isn't a good game design.

The villain version of SSA2 is about as close as we're gonna get to a true sandbox while it is still fun, and I for one enjoy it.
  15. Now all we need is for it to say "FINISHER" in big letters across the screen every time you kill something.
  16. That sounds AWESOME. @_@

i24 is becoming almost too good.
  17. It is true that there is nothing to pair Martial Assault with. All of the control sets are elemental.
  18. Nerf can, and often is, used like Smurf.

That said, i have been disappointed with the Freedom Phalanx's depiction, primarily as they've come across in the SSA1. They really don't come across as experienced heroes who have worked together, prevailed, and held their own even through alien invasions and all the assorted bizarreness that comes with a career in superheroics. They seem to act more like AE babies who arrived from a small town and spent the last decade training to 50 by clicking on bombs. There's genre-blindness, and then there's pants-on-head blindness.
Yea, I'm gonna walk into the middle of this ancient looking circle where a guy who has repeatedly shown himself to be intelligent is waiting out in the open for me. By the way, this is the very same circle that depowered and killed my previous incarnation.

    What could go wrong?
  20. Yea, a PBAoE KB can be handy, but if you want to keep up your regen and recovery you need to use it whenever its up. And while solo this may not be a problem, a team could complain.

I can bump to any server or perhaps already be on it.

However in teams with someone else taking the aggro this is easier to do but still people do not achieve nigh maximum dps potential from the pets as easily as they could photon seekers. On paper it can look as though WS far out gun PBs and with easily played farming, but in reality for most of the entire player base maybe not. Maybe the only thing Devs will care about as far as balance is possibly concerned is what the playerbase as a whole are achieving rather than the one or two exceptional Pro's.
My Warshade doesn't farm. He plays the game. And in the game, his fluffies live out their full life expectancy the majority of the time.
