Quote:Thinking on this, really the only powers concern in Going Rogue, apart from the two new sets will BE the 40-50 range. Specifically, how Epic/Patron powers will work for a side swapped character. The "weird tradition" as you called it was just a clever way for the Devs to give themselves more time to finish the 40-50 level content on each side. It was always the plan for these factions to be capped at 50.
It's certainly possible that the same will happen in Going Rogue, but depending on how level 50 heroes and villains entering Praetoria are handled chances are that "tradition" will not be mainatained. My guess is that Going Rogue will be able to account for levels 1-50 of all factions at launch in some form or fashion. I'm sure more will be added in subsequent Issues after GR goes live. -
Funnily enough, most of the things I did this weekend weren't XP related. I did manage to get Royal Fulcrum Shift, though.

Ended up turning rep back on because of this thread. Funny thing was, the only Neg rep I had before then was when someone tagged me responding to my 'Happy Birthday' thread.

I've talked to the others, and for the most part it shouldn't be a problem.

Just recorded the show for the 15th, and I wanted to put it out that after making our arc selections we are down to just one in the queue, so now's the time to start submitting again.

Well, I haven't seen you guys running around yet, how you liking it in our corner of the Shards?

Pure speculation here, but I have to wonder if the Arachnos Pistol is unavailable because then the Assault Rifle folks will then start fighting with VEATs as to whether they have access to the Arachnos Rifles.

Quote:Less ironic and more the Joker lying his fourth point of contact off. It was all part of a plan, the bank heist, taking control of Gotham's crime through it's money, attacking Dent's transit, so he could be locked up with the accountant. Thanks! I love that line, but don't have the movie to get it right. Ironic, considering he planned out a bus crashing through a wall just so he could kill a guy
Hell, even that entire speech was all part of a plan to get Harvey to show that even the best can fall to the Joker's level. -
Tune in tonight at seven Eastern for reviwes on:

Sadly, it may amount to a moot point, at least as far as my original question was concerned. While Aeon University would certainly find the Praesidium's goals admirable (especially the sharing information one) it's quite honestly way too small to become a part of this. However, if this line of inquiry DOES get one of the bigger Villain Groups in, and as a result get more folks actually interested in red-side, then it's still a plus in my book.
-
Well then I have two questions:
1) What is involved in being a part of the Praesidium
2) In this new era is there any consideration for Villain groups? -

You can listen to the most recent episode of any KJSR show here. Just look for the AEntertainment Tonight link. Shows up at the top of the list for me, but I'm not 100% sure if the list shuffles.
As far as spoiler tags go, if you mark no we will do our best to review the arc while revealing as few details as possible. In some cases we won't give out anything more than what can be seen when looking at the Architect window. This is a more difficult review, as we can't give out WHY we we felt the way we did, and we do slip on occasion, but we understand it if the arc itself is supposed to be a bit of a puzzler, or have quite a few surprises to it. However, I will usually warn the listener if there is a timed mission.
If you mark yes, then we can go into greater detail, naming off specific references we noticed, or other details we thought were note worthy. However, we will usually keep major plot points, things that we feel are on the level of the Clockwork or Rikti secret mum. We are essentially trying to entice the listener back into the AE for these arcs, and it is sometimes counterproductive to spell out every detail.
And while I'm talking about the submission form, I would like to ask future submissions if they would enter the number of missions in the arc under "Length", rather than the length given in the Architect window. I understand where the confusion came from, but since the AE defines an arc's length by the size of the file it makes it a less helpful guide for us. A 'medium' arc could be a heavily detailed five mission arc with a lot of clues and text, or it could be a one shot with a lot of customs.
EDIT: For a specific example, let's make up a hypothetical arc. The arc is five missions long, and has several meaningful or humorous references in it. The third mission has a hidden ally that will only appear after clicking a specific glowy, the fourth mission is timed, and right when you think you have the final mission complete, the contact appears in the mission to attack you.
If the submitter of this arc said 'no' to spoilers, we would limit the review to just that is was five missions, made good use of the AE tools available, and had a solid finale. Also, the listener would be warned about the mission four timer. One or two of the references may slip out in conversation, at most.
If the submitter said 'yes' to spoilers, then we would have said all the above, but many of the references would be mentioned. We would also make note of the hidden ally (if the reviewer managed to find said ally). However, we would still not mention the contact's betrayal. -
Well, it's good to hear that there's going to be more with those guys, as you heard, we really got to enjoy fighting them. I hope you didn't mind us using your arcs as filler when the submissions got scarce.
As far as the music goes, I'm glad you like it, but you should really check out my Saturday show where the music is the focus. I'm really hoping that AT will get to a point where I can fill an entire show without the music, but we're going to need more reviewers, submissions and guest reviewers to get to that point. -
A good point, and something I forgot about during both the run of the arc, and the review. May I ask which ones were supposed to be bosses?

Quote:Thus far we've seen three options to deal with heavy load on the Big servers. You've got to be kidding me. Server queues? Sorry, the moment I see that I'm queued to log on to a server for a game that I pay $30 a month for (two accounts), I'm gone. I have never played a MMOG with queued log ons, and I'm not about to start. And no, I don't play on Freedom, nor Virtue.
1) The server queue for when they fill up
2) Before the queue, when servers got to a certain population, they just stopped letting folks in. Period. Now it was only at times when there were as many people actually online as the server could hold, and the moment someone logged out someone else would be let in, but it still caused a number of complaints.
3) Before the population caps were put in place, folks would just continue to pile on those two servers until it was enough to cause them to crash, meaning NO ONE could play on them AT ALL. Usually followed by the folks that just got kicked off their server to log into a different one, maxing out THAT server and causing it to crash. This would continue until all servers were down and no one could play the game at all.
Of those three options, which would you pick? -
Don't forget that the Station archive only keeps show's up for one week. If you are interested in the Sept 24 Episode, it's best to grab it before 7:00PM when tonight's show airs. We'll be going over:
Future's End
Trademark Infringement
TOO MANY BUNNYGIRLS!

Somewhere on one of these lists sites is one that's something like "things you need to be a Supervillain". On that list is the vid of a kid that actually built a wrist mounted Flamethrower.
-
I've seen a couple of solid contenders in even my shorty time reviewing stuff for AEntertainment Tonight. Mostly in the Hero category, though as there are very few Villain submissions at all.
