Now I'm hungry and want to go to Canada for lunch...
[/ QUOTE ]
Anytime you wanna come up to Ottawa. I can't promise you that I can provide you with a place to stay, but I know a number of decent, cheap motel/hotels around and I can show you the sites... assuming the wife says it's okay.
Y'know how it is...
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, I see how it is.
I wanna come up, and you say, "No, you smell like a yeti!", but when Manoa wants, you say yes. It's because I don't have bewbs, isn't it?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes.
Also, she doesn't smell like a yeti.
I'm sorry, man! That's just the way the dice fell! -

Looks can be deceiving.
The only good one is McDonald's.
[/ QUOTE ]
Really? I think American McDonald's is gross... which is wierd because I love the Canadian McDonald's, and yes, they taste different.
I'd love to try Sonic, just for fun. In'n'Out Burger is one I'd love to try as well. I'd even hit Shoney's for the burger buffet, if they're still doing it. I've never been to a White Castle. I've never tried Jack In the Box.
There are so many places in the States that look so delicious... Boston Market being one, I'd KILL to have one of their sammiches, just to try it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sonic and In-N-Out are both fantastic. White Castle is good, too, but their burgers feel more like you're just renting them. They're called "sliders" for a reason.
I've never had Boston Market because it looks like food I can make at home, but I've heard they're not bad. There are no Jack-In-The Boxes near me, though the Cincinnati stations carry commercials for them. I did, however, get to try Jack-In-The-Box when Phantom still lived in Tempe and I went to visit him. They're good stuff.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm a [censored]' junk food junkie, I love it all.
Something that you get a lot of here in this part of Canada is a lot of Lebanese food. Shawarmas are great. Donairs are awesome too (although strictly speaking their Greek) and a lot of places make the biggest, baddest, garliciest, meatiest, kick-[censored]ness donairs and shawarmas you'll ever have. Lebanese food is the best.
And I gotta say, Lebanese make the best pizza in the world, ever. The Italians may have invented it, but the Lebs perfected it. I'm thinking about learning Arabic just so I can go and hang out at some of the real authentic places and sip coffee and talk politics and religion.
Arabs are awesome, in general. Best people in the world. -

I don't know why people seem to be talking about this idea that somehow nobody does TFs anymore. My server (Justice) does a Saturday Matinée every Wednesday... I mean Saturday.
Anyway, this past Saturday I ran that Saturday Matinée TF, and then two more PuG TFs in the afternoon. I did the ITF, Sister Psyche and Bastion, all between about 1300lcl and 1800lcl, with much soloing in between. I was a busy boy that day, lemme tell ya.
Justice has always kinda been TF central, though. It's just that kinda server, which is why I've never played anywhere else.
[/ QUOTE ]
Is Justice the unofficial Task Force server like how Virtue is the unofficial Roleplay server?
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know, I've never really thought about it or even heard anyone mention it.
Don't get me wrong, it's not like a smorgasbord all day every day, but invariably if you're on during the day on a Saturday or Sunday you'll get at least a couple requests for TFs over the course of a few hours. -
[ QUOTE ]
Actually...*taps chin*
There's an AWESOME comic/hobby shop we could hit, then get some Boston Market. Oh god! If we do that, we can hit Big Fun in Cleveland. I want to live there: you will, too.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, from what I hear all the pretty girls with the crimson lips say "Cleveland Rocks". And if you can't trust a pretty girl with crimson lips who can you trust?!
I say let's go for it. -

I was just kidding about the McDonald's.
However, there's a Sonics close to me, so I can take you there. Also, I LOVE Boston Market, but the one near me closed. We'd have to hit Cleveland for it, and that's quite a drive for a tasty, tasty, deliciously, tasty sammich.
[/ QUOTE ]
Totally... we could do that for your "bachelor party" thingy, or whatever. The trip to Cleveland, that is... just for something fun. If we have time and the wife is okay with you being out of town for that long that close to the event itself.
I might be pestering you to stop at other places too, depending on what I see. I've been to the States quite a bit in my adult life and yet I still can't seem to get my [censored] together to have a damn burger. -

I did the ITF, Sister Psyche and Bastion,
[/ QUOTE ] It's good to know that I'm not the only one that still calls it Bastion from time to time after all these years.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, yah... it's Citadel now, right? Has been for a few years, actually... now that I think about it.
Oh, well, we're old-timers, right? We get freebie points on misnomers. -
I'll likely be heading to PAX 2010 in New York, but sadly PAX 2007 was my first and last time travelling to Seattle from Ottawa, Ontario at least for the foreseeable future.

Ever notice how all the alternate-universe versions of Statesman are evil?
I kinda wonder if Paragon Earth might be an aberration. After all--if the criminal Marcus Cole is supposed to stay Evil, a dimension where he's 'good' would be the "evil parallel universe" for most. Especially since Paragon Earth set up massive walls to "protect" its citizens, and in Praetoria that wasn't necessary...
[/ QUOTE ]
That always gets me thinking ... if Tyrant is an "evil" Statesman ... then what about the Praetorian equivalent of Reculse?
The things I think about while sitting on the can...
[/ QUOTE ]
There are more possibilities than that. What if they're BOTH evil and they team up?
What if they're mercenaries?
What if they're both good in one reality?
What if, instead of a Fountain of Zeus (or whatever) it was to some other god, like Aries? Or Demeter? Or Hephaestus? What if it was for another pantheon altogether and it was a shrine to Quetzacoatl or Thor or Amon-Ra?
M-Theory is fun... -
[ QUOTE ]
Heck, it might just be me finally getting on the ball but people seem to be doing more Task Forces than ever.
Kinda funny how people see the ITF's popularity and assume it's a farm. It's not, it's challenging, epic and makes you earn every Merit. It's the kind of thing that makes you WANT to play it again!
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll be the first to claim that there are some TFs that are better than others, but I love them all (except Positron... oh, my god, what a slog). I might be a little strange, though, I'm a TF wh*re. -
[ QUOTE ]
3 Taskforces done today...
Moonfire
Hess
Citadel
All PuGs, with me being the only repeat...
Citadel done on Rugged in 1:23. Faster than either of the heroic Moonfire or Hess. Wow, that was such a great team on Citadel.
That is all.

Yup.

I'm starting to feel like a troll... I had no intention of starting anything, I just wanted to knwo what I'd missed when I was gone.

Would save those poor, farming, powergamin' peeps all the time and trouble of whipping through AE missions in Atlas, in their attempts to get as many toons to 50 as fast as possible in their quest to find the "perfect build". Hopefully then, these people will become extremely bored and excel at obtaining day job badges.
[/ QUOTE ]
The Win Game Now Button has been suggested MANY times by people, including myself. I, personally, think it would be a brilliant idea, but it will never happen. It just won't.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've never been in favour of the "Insta-50" idea, but I have forwarded, on a number of occasions, a vet reward that allows you to start level 14-20 or thereabouts, just to get over the monotonous lowbie grind.
I still think it's a good idea, for vets who've got more than 3 or 4 years under their belt, I mean... seriously, how many damn times do I have to go to the hollows? -

We'll smake it down far and wide. The smaking shall ne'er die!

Smakesignal's right. We need to lay that [censored] down! -
I like Captain Smake. I think someone should make that character.
How about;
Guardian Prime
Justice Knight
The First Knight
Sentinal Prime
Any of those sound like we're going in the right direction? -

Captain Paradigm

Dude, I'm going to say something now.
You'll likely thnink that I'm being mean, but I'm not, I'm simply being honest, and by being honest I'm honouring you because I consider you someone who can take this kind of criticism.
Dude... those names suck.
I'm serious, I'm not kidding, they're terrible.
Tell you what, though... tell us what the concept is and we'll help you out with a name.
I promise. -
