  1. Well, the servers are going down tonight for a patch, so SINISTER Wednesday's not going ahead. I'm pushing all the events by one week, and I've updated the previous post.

  2. Liliaceae

    LRSF Sundays

Our start time is at 21:30, so if you start at 18:00 then there's heaps of time.

    LRSF Sundays

What time will you be starting? I've got DUNCE on Sundays, but would like to do another RSF, it's been a while. Will you be running them regularly for a while?
  4. Hmm. We've always started at 20:30 Aussie East time, but I guess people aren't really attuned to the time any more. I've been pretty slack lately about choosing things in advance. If I haven't posted anything, I encourage people to start things up without me.

So, to get back on track, here are a couple of different events for coming Wednesdays. I'll post on the Australia channel MOTD also.
Note that daylight savings will have ended in Aussie and NZ so adjust by an hour.

EDIT: The Cirque just can't run without Bobo, move it to the 21st.

Wednesday 14th April: Giant Monster night. It's been a while since we took down any giant monsters, so we'll get stuck in and take a few down this coming Wednesday. As a special bonus we'll visit Monster Island and battle with some of the Devouring Earth monsters there.

Wednesday 21st April: Rikti Mothership Raid. Meet in Rikti War Zone and start on the Pylons at 20:30 Aussie Eastern Time.

Wednesday 28th April: Cirque du Sinistre - A light-hearted circus themed role playing night. Everyone is encouraged to create their own Circus character and join us for a night of bad jokes! Curtains go up at 20:30 Aussie Eastern time.

    PvP Tuesdays

You missed the first one, and the story is that 20 people showed up!

You didn't miss the next one though.

    They start on
    Tuesday 20:30 UTC+11 AEDT (Sydney)
Tuesday 9:30 UTC (UK) that's in the morning
Tuesday 4:30 UTC-5 Norh America EST - again in the morning
Tuesday 1:30 UTC-8 Norh America PST - yet again in the morning

This will all change when daylight savings hits (different times in different places) so in May it will be:

    Tuesday 20:30 UTC+10 AEST (Sydney)
Tuesday 11:30 UTC+1 (UK) that's in the morning
Tuesday 6:30 UTC-4 Norh America EDT - again in the morning
Tuesday 3:30 UTC-7 Norh America PDT - yet again in the morning
  6. Liliaceae

    PvP Tuesdays

Time to slot those level 4 SOs I've been hoarding.
  7. Liliaceae

    PvP Tuesdays

I'm game for PvP and will come to this whenever I can get online on Tuesday.

For the level 1 to 5, I expect you mean experience level, right? Don't want people bringing their purpled-out Warshades, right? Hmm, if it went to level 6 you could have a bunch of squids, and vets with travel powers.

Yes, I think we do. I'll give a little more warning this time though so we have a better turnout.
  9. No updates doesn't mean no action. We've been running Strike Forces every Wednesday the whole time.
The Master Barracuda didn't happen yet, and if anyone wants anything special, just give a yell and we'll fit it in somewhere.
  10. What did you do for Double XP weekend?

I played an AR/Storm Corruptor from lvl 6 to 26. And I only got one complaint about scattering mobs! (Unless you count Min's suggestion that I should take Flamethrower instead of Hurricane.)
  11. He's level 24 now, not much more to go. . . .
  12. Guess it might as well be. I've got some other lowbies that I'd be happy to play.

Wasn't great, we had less than 20 people, so the mother ship was a bit rough. We spawned the Master at Arms, but didn't manage to take him down before the shields were restored.

Biggest contributing factor is that only about 5 of us were playing level 50s, so most people were fighting +5s.
  14. My stormy might be 35 by the time you get this together Snoof . He's 6 right now.
  15. We had a crack at a +3 Renault last night, but things were a bit rough at first so we ended up doing it in regular easy mode. The team was capable of succeeding, but it seems not everyone defines fun in the same way as me. Next time I need to be much more explicit about what's going on.
  16. Well that was a great experience. We did the Silver Mantis SF set to +3. (I was level 22 when we started.) I was picky about characters unlike normal and we had 1 Brute, 2 Dominators, 2 Widows, and 3 Corruptors. The whole thing went very very nicely, even the final mission with its outrageous number of Missile Boss Turrets. Overall it took three hours, and we had a few deaths here and there, particularly in the last mission, but no team-wipes, and when we stayed together we were fine. Everyone levelled up at least once, but none more than me, I ended the night at level 27. - just the right level to do it again with Operative Renault next week!
  17. Yeah, I don't object to speed runs per se. It's the culture of speed runs that means I am no longer comfortable picking up SF members from some global channels because they try and speed run when that's not what we're going for.
  18. I really don't like the fashion of speed-running, probably because we usually have someone new to the SF on the team, and the speed-runners ruin the SF experience. Probably why I've been avoiding the ITF lately. I also don't understand skipping all the purple-dropping mobs.
  19. Awesome idea, wish I could have done that in school!

What time of day will you guys be playing? You are welcome to join us on Justice, and I'm sure some of you will want to make multiple characters anyway.

It certainly would, but sadly not everyone shares my views on the "fun meter".
  21. For those who weren't online last night, or perhaps were and didn't notice, an interesting thing happened. I put out a call to form a Strike Force - "Renault Strike Force forming Justice villains 25+ welcome, Leader to be decided" I couldn't lead it because I was busy RPing, but within about 10 minutes the Strike Force was full, and several people had volunteered to lead.

I'm concluding that we're reaching a critical mass of players on Justice and in the global channel. So, all of you people with latent leadership aspirations, now is the time to let loose and organize things!
  22. This week: Iron Man Strike Force

Oedipus Tex mounts the SINISTER podium. "You kids these days, you don't know how easy your Strike Forces are. Back in our day relentless used to mean something, we did them in the snow up hill both ways against +2s! And just for a lousy little badge, no XP, no new-fangled merits, and not even a recipe!"

He throws down a glove and continues. "And so I challenge you to an old-school Strike Force. Your leader has to be -2 or -3 to the Strike Force level, so you'll be fighting real enemies, not these push-overs you 'challenge' yourself with. The new rules mean they'll be tough for the whole Strike Force, so no push-over Arch Villain at the end. You'll still get XP, but you cry-babies probably wouldn't do it otherwise."

"So are you guys in?" he asks, his hand reaching for the big red "Kick" button, "or is it time for this?"

I can provide leaders for Virgil Tarikoss, Silver Mantis and Ice Mistral. Our choice.
  23. This raid time was chosen specifically to accomodate the Aussie players, but there are Hamidon raids in more friendly US times organized on Justice fairly regularly. You can check the Justice server forums, or join the global channel JFA2010.
