I imagine the conversation going on in this picture goes something like "Wow, you look pretty rough, must have been some battle." Then, with a smirk, Lightslinger replies "You oughtta see the other guys."

I had an image for a triumphant Lightslinger emerging from a battle in total darkness with a smirk on his face and TProtector got this perfectly, I knew his style would lend a lot to the vision I had and I couldn't be more satisfied. BTW, this was TProtector's first commission and he comes highly recommended from me.

I love the idea of Parallel versions of our characters and I like how fleshed out your ideas are. The last link was broken for me, though

The idea of parallel dimensions is why I don't mind when artist's take some freedom with my characters and reinterpret them. If the character doesn't look like the "iconic" version of them, then it's an alternate dimension/future/past version of them.

Yeah, she did an awesome job with Val, this is one of my favorite's she's done.

Her version of Lightslinger should be done soon, I told her I wanted to see her fantasy vision applied to Lightslinger so I can't wait to see what she comes up with.

Thanks for allowing the feedback and I have to admit, Curse seems to be something to watch in the future, thanks for taking our advice and listening to our concerns.
While I still want the homepage to support Fan Art, if this is the best we can get at least the people over at CG are willing to listen to us.

I'm with everyone else in seeing this not as a step in the right direction, but a step in the completely wrong direction. I just don't see how more outsourcing will result in improving the homepage.

And if you'll notice, most people here want the homepage improved to improve the community, I don't see how that makes us selfish or bad people.

I don't see why asking for NC Soft to have a real fanart section on their website is asking them to "bend over backwards" for us.

This game is about the community, and www.cityofheroes.com does not take one effort to show off their community, it just links to old news. This is what the art forum is concerned about, and giving us some off-shoot website that newcomers will have to do some serious digging to find is in no way, shape, or form what City of Heroes needs.

Yeah, the only "legal issue" I can see is if someone sent in Fanart of xXxWolviexXx, a claws/regen scrapper in yellow spandex. In which case there should someone to monitor the Fanart and delete those.

I really think the CoH mainpage needs some more community. It looks like a hastily thrown together news page (which just links to other sites who actually have the scoop).

We need a prominent Fan Art display, Screenshot Display, Player of the Day(like the UK site) and etc.
