That and the brown makes it look more like a giant doomsday. It could use a bit more green....wait may be Godzilla is the final evolution of Doomsday! (mind blown)

The what is supposed to be the last movie he starred in was Transformers: Dark of the Moon. He was Sentinel Prime,Optimus Prime's mentor. They made several Star Trek references during the film likely because of that which Nimoy really wanted a part in Transformers again since his 86 appearance as Galvatron.(He wanted to be the Fallen in Revenge of the Fallen but Tony Todd beat him out of the role.). We'll see if he pops up anywhere else afterwards.

Back to original question Shaw can absorb kinetic force thats directed toward him, but if he is simply tossed straight up or away he's effectively removed from the fight. It's happened a couple times where Xmen would remove him from the fight before he absorbed enough power to do anything. He only weights like 200 some lbs so super strong people have no issue just lifting him up.

My Villains...
-Lastjudgment(Energy/kinetic corruptor), His plans basically involve tearing down society and wiping out everyone who he deems unworthy of life as a self proclaimed angel of death. Michael Erikson was sent to past save the human race from extermination at the hands of an alien race the Gryurax, but some alien time cops(the Greys or Cydaxes) caught him and returned him to his present time in 3051. One of them decided to leave a clone of him to continue protecting humanity as she was a human sympathizer. When the clone succeeded at repelling the Gryurax invasion and blew their homeworld back into the stone age he had no purpose.
Having Lastjustice's memories but not his spirit he became disenchanted with humanity. Particularly after a DA was Graping women who was one of his friends, and messed with evidence to cover his tracks. Lj dropped him out a 10 story building window since the law wouldn't ever punish him as his judgment was passed. He snapped. Why save something that's ultimately going destroy itself? When those who are in power will always use it for self serving reasons, why let the system stand? So help the process along and rebuilt it the way you like he figures. Basically people have to stop him because he'd kill majority of the population with Nukes or any other weapon of mass destruction he could get his hands on.
- Drakis the Dark(Necromancy/dark Mastermind) , Dirk Drakis is a Necromancer who seeks ultiamte power. He aligns himself with evil beings but usually tries pull a starscream along the way and keep them from ever succeeding in their plans. The moment they do, they'll no longer have a use for him. His plans usually involve bringing some ultimate evil being into the world, but he only comes along for the ride as the Shadows of the Dark hand, usually need to teach him some new spell or arm him with a new artifact for their operations to work. he fights hard enough to sell he wants what they want, but in the end he feigns his defeat to continue milking the till he can cast them aside. In the event he took the power of the temple of the living god for himself that the guardians of the earth infuse themselves with, he'd enslave the planet. He'd kill anyone who didn't play ball. (then raise them as undead servants.)
- Power Monger(robots/force field mastermind), Christopher Gates was infused with illegal alien technology during a fight with super heroes while trying build an ultimate warmachine. Becoming a hybrid of man and machine, he now seeks become the ultimate cybernetic life form. If he happens wipe out all organic life in the process all the better. He might just because he can if he ever reached his goal. They'd remind him for his former weakness. -
- Hellboy 2: the Golden Army, I saw the trailer and was excited, but was grateful I waited till DVD when I actually saw it. The villain was so much fail..hey Im taking my sister hostage...but if I kill her I die too.(which was a twist I easily saw coming that the twins were connected.) If I was Hellboy I'd just grabbed her and started pounding her face since she wouldn't fight back and would end up doing the same thing anyways. Honorable..no..but she was going take the lumps either way.
- Alien Vs Predator, the trailer basically was a highlight reel of all movies best moments. -
Quote:Because was too easy to make a bad joke quoting that single line. You went along and posted all that dribble in response to my post, and yet you avoided the one part specficly aimmed at you for whatever reason. And yet you still feel compelled to dignify my posts by quoting me and responding.

Which I end with this, if you(Forbin project) have such a universally bleak view of humanity, What purpose is it that you continue to contribute to something you view as negative to the world? Surely can't you see how contradictory it is that you sit and preach how awful we are as collective, but continue to play right along. -

Quote:No, that's your perception. While some people fit into that description, not everyone does. You're merely arrogant enough to refer to them as facts across the board, not sweeping generalizations that they are. Humans come in a sorts of flavors, and there's humans who would never follow anyone. There's people who are willing to lead or follow as needed that question authority. (like myself.) Human's are not remotely as weak as you perceive them, but I think you ultimately view yourself the same way. You see what you are.Nope. Simple facts. The human race are herd animals. That's how we evolved. It's instinctive for us to go along with the majority and give up personal responsibility. We gather in groups and follow the Alpha dogs.
I see a very different world and purpose for humanity. You say the rest of the planet would be better off without, I say you couldn't be more wrong. As the masters of this planet, it's our job to defend it against all enemies foreign and domestic. With out humanity, say some day a alien race would came and wiped out all life on this planet similar to what was purposed in the movie independence day. I tend to think all rest of the planet is better off with us for that scenario. Who knows what other issues might have occurred if humans were there to change the outcome in history.
Ultimately there's the expiration date this world has billions of years from now when the sun goes out. Would all these species be better off then without us? With us, there's a strong chance for humanity to carry the memories of this world and creatures into the stars. Life will not end with Earth. It's a beginning to something grander. Life always has a purpose. Even if it's unclear at the time it takes place, it's always there. If you're willing to see it.
Which I end with this, if you have such a universally bleak view of humanity, What purpose is it that you continue to contribute to something you view as negative to the world? Surely can't you see how contradictory it is that you sit and preach how awful we are as collective, but continue to play right along. If it were me I'd seek a means to change that direction(enlighten others, or try snuff out as many people I could. Take your pick heh.) if I felt so strongly. Being weak gives you the privledge to complain and never do anything about things that bother you since you believe you lack the means. Do you lack the means, are simply a coward, or possibly humanity isn't half as bad as you make it out to be? Only you know the answer to that, and that is a fact heh. -

Quote:As someone who got really really close to falling down, I wouldn't want to run around being all fire and brimstone on the world. It tears you apart after awhile, and just turns you into what you're fighting against at some point. You eventually turn on yourself. It's a slippery slope.
After he was mostly finished he would tell the rest of the world; "You had best fall in line because after I'm finished here I'm going to pick another spot in the world and if you want to break laws or not follow the rules you could be next".
Coming right up to the edge of the abyss, and looking down was enough for me. I decided my humanity had a higher price tag than that. As they said in Overlord, Good is so close to evil. Would you want to live in a world where a merciless being judged all as it saw fit, and you were powerless to stop it? if the answers no, then why would you being willing to do it others? I see myself in others, and if they're not worth saving...then may be I'm not either. I prefer to see it the other way, and prove to myself they are worth saving, and so am I.
I'd rather live in a world where people do commit crimes than live in a world where people are afraid to do embrace life. Killing to make people tow the line will never make people better;only create a world where people can not ever change. While I'm sure there's a line in the sand where some people are beyond redemption or will cost far too many good people's lives to get them to learn the lesson(I think in case of the Joker or other simliar villains, most sane people would ended his life on principal, but few criminals are so obviously evil to make that call so easily.) There's a balance in there somewhere. I prefer not to think in absolutes because eventually in a world of black and white, you only see one color. That's just me, and my broken glasses I view the world through. -
Quote:You're just a ray of sunshine on all fronts when comes to humans heh.Of course it's what they want. That's why they've been flocking to religions for thousands of years. Giving up the "burden" of choice liberates them from responsibility. "It's God's Will." Those that can't bring themselves to stomach religion turn and do the same thing with Government. "Ya can't fight City Hall."
People want to be sheep.
I got 7 of 10 on the test, but I have enough general knowledge of things, and enough leadership skills I think could do pretty well. -
Quote:I was guessing around 100 mph myself, but I didn't want to post potentially bad math and have the boards beat me down for it heh. (What kind of nerd are you? Give us your geek card now LJ!) Which no that does not suck, but that has to account for you to reach said speed, if you're hving a bunch of crap put in your way via ambush/trap set by those wanting to get your suit or get you out of the way, then it's going be hard to achieve.
Drag increases with the square of the velocity so assuming the suit doesn't also reduced your coefficient of drag, with a 100x increase in power you would be topping out at 90-100mph. Still nothing to sneeze at.
Say here in chicago(or some other big city.), with all really tall buildings , you can get trapped pretty easily. Even at 100 times strength, you probably can't jump over them. I suppose if you live somewhere flat, you might have an easier time escaping. Still you might be getting tired at some point as suit doesn't say you aren't doing any of the work. (granted with even the powered armor the armed forces are using they can easily lift over 200 lbs in reps and not get tired till the battery runs out.) At to fact you feel impact and discomfort when someone starts wailing on the suit, then this whole ordeal seems like massive pain in the butt.
I mean think to scene in Batman begins when he's trying get away from the police with Rachel. That could be basically your life on a daily basis , just on foot if you were operating without some sort of government oversight to call off the dogs.
For me the ultimate power is for people to never know you were there. A bank robber's car just mysteriously has a blow out because you ran by at super speed no one saw. A mugger in the park has a tree branch fall on him. Stuff that seems out of place, but no one can prove that something is causing it. They're probably not going look a gift house in the mouth.
The first step to destroying anything is to know it exists. Why you think deities work mysterious ways? Once we figure out how they are doing it they're toast heh. Once they know you're out there it forces the hand of those fighting you to up the ante. It could trigger more people actually get hurt because they bring more force to the table for even mundane crimes. If no one knows there's a costumed guy running around taking out thugs and putting out fires then no one is going be looking for me. No one is hunting down me and my family. (which I have too many siblings and their kids to use against me.) I like helping people, but there's just too many consequencse to crime fighting that cna follow you home without some surefire means of concealing and escaping unnoticed virtually everytime. (at worst you're an urban legend.) That's just me. -
Quote:You meaning liberating people from the burden of choice isn't what they want? How could this be that people really do want the pressures of having to pick all 31 flavors themselves? How could megatron and Tyrant possibly be wrong on this? I'm absolutely shocked. I guess I'll have rethink my agenda to make the world into a giant despot.Quote:

Quote:The first course of action for me is to test drive it secretly, and figure out where it came from. If you're alone or not is a big deal to learn. To just blindly rush off and start beating up badguys or robbing banks is a terrible idea.
What would you do at this point?
1: Call the authorities and let them have the suit?
2: Repackage it and leave it on someone else's doorstep?
3: Start trying to test/reverse engineer the suit?
4: Ebay baby!
5: Start working out/taking kung fu classes so you'll look better while leaping from rooftop to rooftop wearing it?
6: Something else?
If your answer is 5, please consider the following...
Given this suit has no means of keeping the public from seeing you,or rapidly getting away, honestly the whole crime fighter or even bad guy route just seems like a headache waiting to happen. That you can merely juggernaut your way thru most mundane things since this suit implies no form of travel power(I'm guessing you'd be able to jump some what higher, or run a bit faster, but the suit makes no mention that degree. Most humans running speed and jumping height is rather unimpressive, 100 fold isn't getting away from helicopters line of sight.) or stealth you're bound to end up in some violent shoot out with the army or police when they ambush you.
I tend think selling it to highest bidder would make more sense than anything I might do myself. If nothing else I can always have a copy made once they figure out how it works, and you'll likely be able to sell for billions. (Hello, US Government, I think I have something you might be interested heh.)
Give me a suit with flight, invisibility, become intangible, or able to move so fast people can't see it(or all the above instead of the previous package.), and then may be I'd hang out to it myself. Being a tech powered slow moving juggernaut, doesn't appeal to me. -

This most one sided battle since Bambi VS Godzilla
Romans were spiffy for their hayday, but this over 2 thousand years of difference in technology. The fact they know everything about their target and their target knows nothing about them doesn't help. Snipers pick off all easily IDed officers if they just want to crush their morale. Fat chance the grunts are going stick around without their bosses holding them accountable. That's if they are trying be sporting.
The fact you are giving them armor, and air support...this just silly. The marines will die of old age long before the romans would ever get them. -

Quote:- Considering in lasers can't damage the Enterprise's shields in Next Generation when a less advanced race attack them, Yes. I see them unleashing their full weapons spread and putting down majority of the Tie fighters quickly.
True and I wonder if Star Trek would be able to fend off the hundreds of Tie Fighters that would accompany the Star Destroyers.

Based off Soul Calibur 4 , a long long time ago was during the 1500s heh. The Jedi and Sith crossed into our space and that's when it was.

Heh well guess more proof magneto was right.

i really have to disagree with their #1 choice. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

- BFG 9000...No I can't type out it's full name here heh. (Doom)
- Spread Gun (contra)

Quote:Which reminds me of THIS (Not SAFE For Work, some crude language)Considering the financial straits both Snipes and Cage are in right now, I'd say they won't be turning down very much for a while.

5. I've beaten Battle toads a couple times. It's a tough game, but it's hard for the right reasons.
20. Forget Seth green, I'd make myself taller. I suppose I could use him as the guinea pig to make sure it worked first.
53. I've been fastball specialed, the downside being shortest guy in your group of friends. You know you're getting tossed if someone has to be thrown. -
I just Red boxed the movie, and I liked it more than I expected. I guess I went in with low expectations, and tried not to over think it. I guess part of me knowing how powerless being Graped makes you feel, and can understand what they were getting at. That you'd do anything to escape that hell. Then to have someone give up their very sentience to save someone else from that hell, really just left me sad. Someone pays the ultimate price and the world will never know. What an awful life Babydoll had.
