Quote:They nerfed Freakshow XP, and that's about it as far as dev content XP goes.Terrible Terrible Terrible. They ruined not only AE whether you used it for leveling or for stories, but they also seemed to have nerfed developer content xp and made it harder.
Quote:Enemies seem to have too much range and are too easy to aggro. Not sure what they did with the numbers but it seems that they really have messed up a lot of stuff. -

Quote:They have. Percentage scaling is only for completely hand-picked powers.If you want to make sure that full xp is given for each custom character, then make the effort to create a bunch of custom "template" powersets that we can choose from and forget about all this infantile percentage scaling
Quote:* Enemies created using the Standard setting will reward 75% of normal experience.
* Enemies created using the Hard and Extreme setting will reward 100% of normal experience.
* The total amount of experience an enemy is worth is split evenly between their two powerset choices. Their primary set adds an amount to the experience, and then the secondary set adds an amount.
* The specifics numbers for individual sets are as followed:
* Standard: 37.5%
* Hard/Extreme: 50%
* If you create a mob that has a standard primary and a hard secondary, theyll be worth 87.5% of the normal experience (37.5% + 50%)
* A mob created with a hard primary and a hard secondary will be worth 100% experience (50% + 50%) -
Quote:That was a hands-on preview of I16, not GR.I think it is kind of weird that the "hands-on" preview that MMORPG.com got with GR didn't mention either of the two powersets, nor anything about switching sides. They even gushed about things that we already have right now like they were 'coming soon'
Very bad article as far as press for a new expansion on a heavily trafficed site.
Just sayin' -
Quote:That's being fixed. Pohsyb says:It also breaks the standard powersets. Currently, a standard lieutenant with an Empathy secondary gets the single power, Heal Other. If I add a single power to that set, I cut the XP that character is worth by more than 500%.
Quote:That will be fixed in an upcoming patch, if you chose custom, but meet the requirements for one of the presets, then the preset value will be chosen. -

Quote:Looks like it's going to auto SK to mission holder's actual level, not their level -1.AE auto-sk's lowbies up to the *ideal maximum exp* level. This is going to auto sk to 1 level below the mission holder, not 5 levels below.
Posi:
Quote:With this system, everyone in the team will find themselves automatically level adjusted to the level of the owner of the Mission that is currently selected. -
Quote:So one L50 SKing 7 level 1s to L50 and running around a map defeating things to level them up is easier than what we have now? Sounds to me like it would be far, far slower.if you have more then one account or more then one lowbie to PL with this you don't need more Higher ups. You only need the 1 50 to do the killing why all others could be lvl 1. But we have that in the AE anyways so it's nothing new. But it does make it slow with not have the perma lvl 46 to SK to lvl 45.

Quote:I love this.Which reminds me, weve added new features to the in-game Email system to either shut it off entirely, or only receive emails from people on your friends list and/or people in your Supergroup. Another step in the battle against annoying in-game spam.

I'm finding it very hard to see why you accuse other people of taking the moral high ground when it so often seems like you lot are deliberately taking the moral low ground and celebrating it.
It makes it very hard to be open-minded and even-handed, frankly. -
Quote:That's a total misrepresentation of what they actually said. They've been completely consistent all along. It was ALWAYS the workload that was the problem.After all the "This cannot be done. Ever. Stop asking. No, really, stop asking. In order to do this, we would have to change fundamental laws of physics and possibly end the world and remake it in a new image" posts... After all that, it really has GOT to hurt to say: we could do it all along, we just thought it was too damn much work.

So I'm in my base, playing with slow fields for water effects (yay!) and I happened to click on our mission computer, and it said:
'My tasks are not for the likes of you, Lady Sadako. Find someone else to pester.'
I'm sure it never used to say that. Anyone else being dissed by their hardware? -
Quote:That simply isn't the way it works.Have you ever heard of the 3 strike rule? If a bunch of thin skinned whinny **************** ******** ********** *********** ********** report a fun challenging, "farm" enough times. Exploitive or not it's going to get deleted
Firstly, the 'passed content review' flag does exist. I have it on one of my arcs.
Positron on the subject:
Quote:This lock will not take place on the first level of “complaint banning”, where an arc has received a larger number of complaints. Players will still have a chance to fix the arc.
If Customer Service looks at an arc and determines it was banned in error, they will mark it as “unbannable”. At that point the arc can not be banned for any reason. The unbannable flag will reset if the player makes any changes to the arc at that point, and the arc can be banned again.
Quote:Players who have a story arc banned for any reason, will have it continue to use up one of their publishing slots. Players will NOT be able to unpublish this slot without Customer Service’s help. This sets up a “three strikes and you’re out” policy. If an individual gets three story arcs banned, they will no longer be able to publish since their slots will all be used up with banned arcs. -
On Test now, and the ski chalet is open. Wonder why...

Quote:Looks like it, doesn't it? Perhaps we need some nice clear guidelines about 'what to report and what not to'.And anyone reporting a farm not an exploit is wasting Gm time and money.
Quote:Not to mention trying to decide what content who can play when. -
-
Quote:I believe you're right. The flag is something like 'Passed content review'.Not that I know of... Actually if I am correct if it turns out the mission is found nonexploitive by customer service then it gets flagged as non-bannable until it gets changed by the owner.
Quote:My problem roots in this overwhelming thought that farming is bad. Which I can roughly understand, but it really isn't.
1. Nobody, no matter how pro-farming they are, is supporting exploitative farms.
2. Farms that aren't exploitative don't get deleted, no matter how often someone reports them.
So anyone objecting to people reporting farms is either covertly supporting exploits, or protesting an action that did nothing but use up the reporter's time. -
Quote:Have you ever heard of a non-exploitative farm getting deleted?Now I could understand if this was an exploit like the mitos, but farming isn't an exploit, in fact quite a few I have been on are quite funny with an interesting story line.
(This is an honest question. I don't actually know what the GMs will and won't delete.) -
Quote:It's stuff like this, together with 'hall monitor', 'grass' and similar epithets, that make me wonder:Justify your snitching however you like, kid.
A rat is a rat.
Do the people who use these terms have any terminology to use that isn't derived from either a high school environment, in which complicity in rebellion in the face of teacherly authority is prized, or a criminal environment in which complicity in lawbreaking in the face of civic authority is prized?
In other words: are you actually holding up adolescents and criminals as role models, or is there something I'm missing?
