Those questions you cannot answer (due to knowledge or other stuff) which questions are they? Are those questions related more to the EU questions that comes up by any chance?
Yes, by revealing yourself from the dark room of shadows (and the image many of us have of the dark room of velvet chair with a white cat on your lap or a suit and suitcase) you have made yourself the target of many questions.
Cause we have so many questions for YOU.
So do say which you cannot answer aswell, cause you would not want to make us feel ignored... do you?

Can see where that would be indicative of a problem.
For myself, I'd like to play on the EU servers, too. I just:
a) need a faster PC, which I will have this Monday, and
b) would like to do so withOUT having to buy the game again.
Any way b can be fixed?
I still dream of the nice announcement from marketing to the game mags:
We have recently added 4 new servers to the serverlist (aka server list merge), making it a total of 15 servers for our player base to play on. Not only that we have added one more for spanish players (Im going overboard now since I dont even speak spanish, but since we have 2 non-english, why not 3).
(Equal amount of character slots for every paying customer. One box that can be sold in every country (no need to tweak it for an NA-updater or EU-updater). Oh well Guess I'll have to keep dreaming) -

CoX has had a presense at various electronic gaming shows. And that is good. But, i dont know if that is really reaching new audiences. Chances are, if folks are at an E-show. They already know about the game.
CoX is a game about superheroes. And you mostly see superheroes in comics. Maybe have a bigger presense at some of the larger Comic Conventions around the country. -

War Witch a little question for you. I looked a little on the test program with 2 servers and where players from test server 1 and test server 2 could actually team cross serverlike.

If this is made possible will it end with players on say Champion and Virtue being able to play with each other and Union and Zukunft...
OR will it end with say Virtue (or any NA server) and Union (or any EU server) being able to team?

What can you tell of european strategies to get many players to those servers? Will f.ex trial codes given to European mags... actually have european codes and not american trial codes? Will these mags be updated that european servers have 4 not 11 ;P
Or will we have some more info about ... server list merge? Could you give more information about what War Witch just could hint about?

This isnt just from me (because you guys already know that I love you), but the EU community is very important to both Paragon Studios and NCsoft as a whole, and have always been passionate about making sure you have a great time in the game. Everyone involved is committed to making sure that you feel loved and appreciated, and I hope that starts to come across, especially as we ramp up marketing and PR for Going Rogue. In fact, Ive been told that NCsoft is about to announce a number of distribution partners that will sell and promote Going Rogue in Europe, including offering the prepurchase program that kicked off earlier this month. Youre also about to start seeing a lot more coverage of Going Rogue on your favourite gaming websites, blogs, press outlets, and advertising as the expansion nears its launch date. (Ok, that sounded kind of marketing-ish, but it's pretty much verbatim what they said.)
Next up: the box. This is a big issue and I know some of you are pretty cheesed about it. So here is the information I got (which shouldnt come as a surprise, really): because the game is online, and our consumers are predominantly online, it makes business sense to distribute online. Most MMO gamers in the EU are very net savvy and comfortable purchasing/downloading online. So NCsoft sells online because that is how more and more people are buying games, and we do get most of our new players from online distribution. There are boxes on the shelves in the U.S. because, from a distribution perspective, there is more demand herea much lower percentage of people in the US have broadband compared to the EU. (I didn't know that part.) Plus online distribution and production is much less complicated in the US, with only a single language version and a handful of major retailers and distributors, versus three languages and dozens of distributors in Europe. So there are no plans for a box on shelves in EU, but you will see Going Rogue available soon in a variety of digital stores across Europe.
Before you scream at me, remember, this isnt something I have any say in. Im just the messenger, so dont shoot me! (If it were up to me, however, Id have a box. Thats just me. No I dont have the pull to get one. No, I dont understand all the financial/technical issues behind it. Yes Im shooting my mouth off. But I did ask, and point out - several times - that it sure would be nice.) As someone who prefers a box, I get your frustration; although now that I think of it, I did just buy software digital-only, so Im kind of a hypocrite.
Last topic: servers. Yes, the EU servers feel underpopulated at times, and that makes it harder to group. Last year we merged the forums to bring the EU and US communities together. There are, however, no plans to merge the servers, but we are looking at designing an in-game system that will help solve the problem. One of my big personal goals is bringing people together, and this will help with that agenda. (How's that for vague? What can I tell you, it's "in development.")
Anyway, I'm sure they're not all the answers you wanted to hear, but at least you have "an official word" now, which was the goal of the exercise. So that is progress.
War Witch
What many of us in Europe wants is simply to play as one big community. To have the same amount of servers (and char slots) as our brethren and sisters on the NA servers.
Heck.. If the game mags believe it is 11 servers total, would it not be a nice move to say we added 4 servers to that list?

Also to the future leaders (specially) of Hamiraids. You will note that there is a sticky of the battleplan.
By the look of the team make up, it will be that strategy we will use (and continue using I expect). So leaders and players who want to join in on the hamiraid. Do read it. (Will save poor Sarge a lot of questions) -
First. Welcome to the game, hope you will stay here.
Tsumiju has mentioned the endgame.
The one thing to keep in mind though (My view) is that CoX (City of heroes and city of villains) are all about the journey and not particular the end.
Getting to know the character by teaming and soloing from lvl 1-50, visiting new places and new zones, talking to contacts... everything really
And getting tired of just playing, say a tanker... no problem, just roll another character (alt) and play that a little bit.
Sadly I do not believe you can join the following channels until you upgrade your account, but these channels would be good to have.

In sals and Union taskforces you can get teams with Taskforces. A taskforce is a series of missions stringed together with a powerful boss in the end (Archvillain). It is also team oriented.
Union chat is there just to talk of things (cox and non-cox related).
Oh, about Hamidon raid, we are working on having them appear more often now then before.

There is no new powerset announced arriving with Issue 17. However if you have prepurchased GR, you will be able to play Demon summoning (and Dual pistols) prior to launch (So around April)
To answer about the set, I did think about a making a preatorian version of one of my chars that is a demon summoner. We will have to see. -
Oh, take your time. This game is after all about the journey and not the end.
I do not know the pvp community that well, but you could also join the arena channel. I think they would welcome new blood.

My regret, being the badger that I am.
I had for a short while an account on the US, then I took quite a break. I got reintroduced to the game by a friend, who told of RP events that they had done and I was.. oh yea RP, Got to join.
So I went and looked at the pages again and noticed... I was one month late for transferring chars from my US account over to EU.
Another was to have played AO for between 2-3 years, when I could have played CoX from that time (and gotten plenty of nice Vet badges).
Another that people can learn from is:
I teamed like crazy on my emp defender. I rushed forward doing no contacts in a few zones, like Talos. That is one thing I regret bitterly when I play her.
Thus I learned to make certain to have a contact in every zone upwards. (Thank goodness for the "No-XP" button)
Reason, for buying inspirations in every zone. -

Yes i would go for a server merge with NA but if i remember rightly? the thing stopping them was the fact the accounts for NA and EU were in separate divisions of NC and it was legal mumbo jumbo that stopped them moving us over?

Now though, it just do not make any sense at all. They are the same company for crying out loud.
If the legal mumbo jumbo is to not reveal account info, well alright. We may have stricter laws in Europe then in the US. However if one keeps the same account system as it is now, but just edits the start up files (like updater) to point to the same list (Again server list merge thought), that should not be a problem... should it?
Thus it must be something else. Is it lack of will? Fear that the servers (eu) will be reduntant? Much programming? Server location (rent, loc or what not)? Red tape issues with servers even if office was moved to US? Or other possibilities that we do not know, since the men in black has not shared with us anything.
Well for me, the words of WW are cautious. BUT there is enough said that has given me hope (Cause it is War Witch) and it is more info then we have gotten in a long long time.
They still keep their cards tightly to their chest (the men in the dark) and something very hush hush from us, but I do not think it will turn out to be the Doom-thingy.
I just hope that any promotion they do with pc-mags etc, any references they give to the public, any trial or code they give will be an EU code though.
That they keep continue the "getting communities closer together"-approach that they made then the forums where merged.
As i've said in another thread, if we get a server list merge I (and others I believe) will try making alts on other servers. That is true.
But Union will be my home server, it is there I got my Cox buddies, main characters, their badges, sg and story. -

Heya Coin, welcome back to the game.
Well its been some news of GR and Issue 17. Which I believe is not far away from open beta.
You may consider the following to do while waiting for the launch of GR.
There is the prepurchase offer of GR. Doing this will allow you to play Dual pistoleers from when you pay... before GR is launched. It will also allow you to play Demon summoneers, when they are released, before GR is launched, months from now.
You thus have to decide the following question. Do you you want to play these two powersets on the live servers before GR goes live around July (or something) or do you want to wait until GR goes live and buy the collectors edition and get that extra/free month.
If you also want the extra goodies that are in the GR collectors edition package (not launched/available yet) they will be available for purchase seperatly for those that prepurchased.
Thats the most important news about the game so far... (oh yes, personally I look forward for more exploration badges that are coming ... as there are no badges currently left (truth be told, except Bug hunter and Veteran badges left for me to do )

Sorry for late reply. First Welcome back into the game.
There are groups out on the server (union) that do rp. I have to admit i've been a little lax lately, however the best bet to get into a group would be to join in on the meetings around 9 in the evening (Forgot atm if that meant am/pm gaaah), under Galaxy city's statue of Galaxy Girl.
I know you will find some rp'ers there and find one or more rp supergroups (also when asked )

As long there are no portals or salvage/enchantment/inspirations storage, there should be no upkeep fees.

The "base" plot will still be there, with the name that Bob created (sg). And while Bob and his friends play (in sg mode) there will be generated prestige towards the time when it is time to make a base of the plot that Bob and his friends have gotten.
