    When do you crash: Entering Granville, Nerva, Cimmerora (Sek & Lit'l), my bases (& exiting) that I definately recall.

    When it happens I usually have one of 3 results:
    <ul type="square">[*] the frozen screen then the MS/CoX "we have encountered an Error with your game" message with blank box to add in addition info, which I generally do[*] a complete freeze up that even ctrl+alt+delete doesn't work &amp; I have to hit my computer's reset button (most often occurance, say 2/3 times)[*] &amp; just recently as of yesterday where the ctrl+alt+delete actually Does work &amp; I can shut down the game that way &amp; restart.[/list]The complete freeze up was the most regular (&amp; anoying) occurance up untill yesterday where I was plesantly suprized by the ctrl+alt+delete command actually working for the 1st time in over a week. The game was the only program that would completely freeze out my comp. No other programs triggered that either singly or when runnning simultaniously, only when CoX was running &amp; I was zoning somewhere, usually V side. But that may be cause I'm gaming mainly v side anyways. I've not noticed on other server's but that may only be because Guardian is my home server &amp; I occationally just hang out on a couple of others with some friends.

  3. [color=yellow]Welcome to the MADhouse, hope ya took your anti-suppression pills before entering!! Cause you'll never know when ya might need them due to forum Flare-ups! Glad to have another Dev in the mix &amp; good to know the areas you're working on/in.

    Just remember the MADness will usually keep down to a dull roar with regular info, &amp; if they don't I'll be glad to help out with rush doses of humour!

I can't say it's been an easy ride (as we both well know with the Base builders forum) but you did try to keep us in the loop when there was info in the loop to be shared from what I can tell. It's never easy playing go between &amp; I appriciate the work you did do.

    You've already seen all our responces to the salvage "nerf" as many would put it, so I'm not going to repeat myself except to toss out a couple ideas.

    1) How will the repricing of bases affect you personally?
    <ul type="square">[*] It will definately free up a bit of prestige for my small HG to the point were I can effectively expand the base into a more workable format[/list]
    2) Will you dismantle your base to gain the additional prestige from the repricing?
    <ul type="square">[*]Yes I'm seriously considering at least a partial dismantle to make effective use of the prestige that's currently locked in[/list]
    3) How long would this process take you if you were to engage in this practice?
    <ul type="square">[*]Well I'd say at least 2 weeks, say about a minimum of 28-35 hours for a basic revamp[/list]
    4) What are the positive and negative concerns regarding repricing?
    <ul type="square">[*]The amount of time that could be invested actually playing the game that will be taken up by the revamp is one negative[*]Also wether it'd actually be cheeper overall to craft the items &amp; sell the originals back or if it'd just be more expensive due to cost of needed salvage if they're not easily on hand to replace the number of base items I have[/list]
    5) How will this feature affect you long term and short term?
    <ul type="square">[*]Short term will be the loss of actual game time to rebuild the base even partially[*]Long term will be the savings in rent unless the rent increases due to the salvage bins needed for my SG to function overcome that[/list]

    1) What is the negative effect on your base for this feature implementation?
    <ul type="square">[*]Having to rely on SG mates generosity when they already have a hard enough time getting the salvage they need to make they IOs the want for their alts[*]Having to increase the number of Salvage bins we'll need in the base to contain not only IS but Event Salvage also, since my SG suffers from Severe Altitis among all members whom also LOVE having multiple costume slots early on[*]Possibly having to tighten up all base bin permissions &amp; have tougher promotion requirements to make "stealing" unfeasable to new members[/list]
    2) What is the positive effect on your base for this feature implementation?
    <ul type="square">[*]the fact that we will be able to pass needed salvage between alts without needing another SG mate on is the only real benefit I see at this time, though it IS a big one![/list]
    3) How long will it take you to adjust to learning this new system?
    <ul type="square">[*]Shouldn't take long at all to get the hang of it, though it Might still be a PITA in the actual implimentation[/list]
    4) What side effects to this system do you currently see from transitioning the old to new system?
    <ul type="square">[*]I see demand for specific Invention Salvage getting to the point where some SGs may be unable to effective create the items their bases need without having to Demand their Members to contibute actively[*]I see SGs already starting to horded Base Salvage to convert to Brainstorms &amp; stocking their Salvage Racks as full as they can with both BS &amp; Event Salvage[*]Bases being forced to make their racks inaccessable to new/general members till much stiffer membership requirements are met or only senior member handing out to lower ranked members so bin theft is prevented/ reduced[*]having to drastically increase the shear number of salvage bins in base to ensure there's enough for SG demands once original bins are depleated[/list]
    5) What security concerns do you have regarding this change?
    <ul type="square">[*]Being forced to make all bins harder to get into for lower ranks SG members in order to reduce prevent pilfering of all the bins[*]Needing the ability to set access permissions on a bin by bin basis to enable smoother SG function without having to lock down Base Bin access to a select proven few[/list]

    Additional Notes:
    <ul type="square">I would strongly recommend increasing the salvage bin allotment to a min lvl of 60 salvage, 100 if Event Salvage is continued to be counted along with Invention Salvage[/list]
  9. Well I noticed on Test that they ARE checking a save &amp; load costume feature in the character creater. Just an FYI for you all.

    LoL I was in Atlas one time on Guardian when we had a "Friendly" blow-up player due to confused effects. Everyone was like WTH! How did they go Bloom &amp; hurt/Kill us? NVM what happenned the 1st couple of Self Destructs that went off &amp; we realized they had no body for us to target &amp; rez when the Cyber Pack was released!

    [color=yellow]Posi, like so many others in this topic have said, take your time. I'd rather reletively few glitches go live then some of the bugs that have occurred previously. Heck I know some of us would even appriciate some info along the lines of:
    "Hey all, we've made some progress, unfortunately not the progress we wanted, with the highlights we had posted for Issue 13. We are working on (insert Base Editer/ Mission Editor/ Shield Power Set here), but some unexpected glitches (coding/ graphics/ practicle application) have occured that have extended our timeline.     [b]Oh what type of legal stimulates would the dev team like &amp; are there specific analgesics (SP?) like ASA, Ibuprofen, Naproxen Sodium, or Acetaminophen in 200 or 400 mg doeses that are required? I know I'm very intrigued by the barest hint you folks gave about the base loving in the announcement &amp; moderately curious about the ME, though I'm holding that well in check untill I hear more Official Details so I don't build hopes to high.

  22. Well it definately sounds like it'd be a ball, &amp; I have no complaints to be honest about only a few ppl getting a special ingame item that tied into Comic Con Actual "Pocket D: party. LoL I kind of got mixed up &amp; thought it'd be a virtual event like so many others.

    I suspect it may be something like the "Temp" titles from certain special events they've hosted or something else that specificaly relates to Comic Con. &amp; Yes Ex darrlin I am sad about not being able to make it down there, but hey maybe you all will make it up to Edmonton, AB, Canada sometime for a comic &amp; game convention &amp; I'll get to hang with you (along with all of the western Canadian gamers that will show up)! I know I've always enjoyed the virtual events that you all have hosted, it'd be awsome to be able to attend a Live one for once.
  23. Ya I'm in the same boat, especially since I'm up in Alberta, Canada &amp; with 2 young kids it's kind of hard for me to make long trips like that. Though I would LOVE to have been able to make it down. So how are those of us whom would love to be there but have no chance on Earth of being able to going to have a chance for the special Pocket D event? Especially since I'm one of those players whom make a point of going to Pocket D events, both live &amp; Test, since I have no ability to getting down to those live events in person. I'm sure there are many others in similar circumstances whom do the same thing as a way to at least get to hang with you all.

    I'll be honest I have yet to see you folks announce any event you're at North of Montana, or even if you've left the States for similar events. Infact the only time I've seen you announce your actual presence at events seem to be focussed in California.

    <ul type="square">[*]90 days incactive under lvl 12 toons names unlocked (which is current practice I believe)[*]6 months inactive under lvl 24 names unlocked[*]1 year inactive under lvl 36 names unlocked[*]2 years inactive under lvl 46 names unlocked[*]3 years inactive all names unlocked[/list]
    This will hopefully also give the military personel due consideration especially for thier high lvl toons when they'e away on long tours of duty. Especially since (from what I understand) the US government is making use of extending military personel's service contracts whether or not they agree to it because of what's going on in Iraq. (this is just a statement of what I understand, it may no longer be correct, but is something I feel should be considered since they may choose to serve but not where). This also takes into account anyone with unexpected extended absences from the game (including the recent victums of those tornadoes) but whom would like to eventually return.
