Also going to RMTers is like paying for sex, it's far better if you find someone willing to give you it because they like you.

I understand. You can't follow the conversation. I was not aware I had crossed your cognitive threshold and would be more then willing to simplify any points you couldn't work out.

Yes they were in a SG already, which if you weren't just blindly sending out unsolicited invites to anyone level 10 or below you would have known.
Quote:Did these 'victims' of mine have to endure a live conversation with someone they don't like? No all you must do is glance and think to yourself for a second. And if you do not want in just let the message stay as is.
"If you don't want my product just hang up."
"If you don't like my email just delete it."
You sir are a spammer. I have no pity for you, and find it amusing you got your feelings hurt enough to start a thread about it. -
Mike has the right mentality for telemarketing.
-
If someone sent me an unsolicited advertisement and then started complaining to me about being called on out for it I would have used /ignore_spammer myself. Cursing would have just been icing on the automatic customer service complaint.

Quote:You know who also just sent you one harmless message. That guy on a temp character trying to offer you inf ofr $$. He only sent you one before being deleted.I see what your saying. I just don't see "Nah, I'm good" or a simple "No reply" being to bad. I guess I may be the only one not angered when asked a question. Maybe I'm "Cool Calm Collective Mike" when it comes to people asking me things such as SG invites. I definitely see being constantly hounded on stuff like that being tedious, but I sent one single message. That's all one tiny little message. You have to be a real 'Hot Head' for a little thing such as that to really set you off in my opinion.

I've deicded I no longer want weather.
Why you ask? (just pretend you did)
I would be too annoyed about how half ***** it would be, the same feeling I get when I find myself in front of a building in Pretoria and it's not actually reflecting the world around it but some default mapping! This is even more annoying when you are INSIDE a building and the reflective surfaces are showing you IN THE ******* STREET!
I don't want weather because they would get it about 80% right and just ******* stop for the next damn shiney object.
I'm still ******* waiting for blasters to get Dark Blast after all.
--edit--
Another thing that was half ***** was The Rouge Islands.
How many ******* buildings in there have windows behind the doors?
I think it's more common there then in Paragon. -

Quote:Some NPC groups would prohibit membership...umm a handful of fellow heroes would not want to associate with you.I haven't really seen much evidence of that, considering what Gaussian had me do to the Rogue Vanguard leaders, but even if we assume killing is frowned upon... My question is "and what of it?" The characters who kill in this game are still tagged as heroes, or at most vigilantes (who are still heroes).
Furthermore, do we have reason to believe that Sister Psyche in particular would look down on killing?
Statesman might frown at you as you walk past...yeah hat's about it.
You get a minimum effort shun. The whole "we don't want to hang out with you...hey can you help save the world?" deal that pisses Manticore off. -
I think it would be silly to think he has ANY secrets from her at this point.
-
Killing is frowned upon...not prohibited.

I'ld love to have random zone wide weather effects that rendered client side and can be disabled.
I already stand around staring at things some more ambiance would keep me logged in more often. -
Quote:That date looked really familiar...hmmmmI'm sticking with my prediction from this thread:
Time to dampen some spirits.
I did some research, and checked the various News posts on the CoH main page. These are the results I got:
4/27/09 - I15 Overview
6/26/09 - I15 Launch
7/15/09 - I16 Overview
9/16/09 - I16 Launch
2/24/10 - I17 Overview
4/28/10 - I17 Launch
8/17/10 - GR/I18 Launch
10/5/10 - I19 Overview
Looking at that pattern, an Issue Launch seems to come almost exactly 2 months after an Issue Overview is posted.
Two months from 10/5 is 12/5, and that's a Sunday, so we need to add 2 days, since Launches seem to happen on Tuesdays.
Using that patten, my expected Launch Date for Issue 19 is December 7, 2010. -
Quote:All 17 of the people who are up in arms about a delay that was given as a possibility the same time as the goal date in an industry of "when it's done" will be sorely missed. The devs received an early gift this year: an influx of new and returning players to their 60 month old title. Some would say that was more than a gift - some would call it a miracle.
The devs have, in return, given their customers the gift of silence. After all, nothing communicates to customers quite like no communication at all.
What the devs need to understand is that they are still in that "golden window" of opportunity with the recent influx of players that have been filling up the servers. You have them for the moment but you have not retained them yet, and there is a very real danger that when they depart they will drag some long time players with them.
Silence is not going to help retain these players, iterating faster will. Right now your focus needs to be on customer service (communication!) and iterating FASTER than your competition.
Iterating faster means that while new content goes out in ISSUES, game changes that improve quality of life for your players CAN GO OUT in weekly patches. It would give you the flexibility to announce today that "I19 is delayed until after the holiday, but here is inherent fitness while we work on it. Enjoy!".
It is called agile and in this case it is the difference between frustrating your player base and delighting them. -
Ok mine just came in...store is down but they look like they were bought form Best Buy for 9.99 and wouldn't resell.
They do appear to be factory sealed still. -
