I'm running into that same problem.

When I started this contest, I asked myself what I would do with the Freedom Phalanx if they were my own characters. What resulted was a new Phalanx that had followed a slightly different path from the normal one.
Meet Positron, the current leader of the Freedom Phalanx. Years of hard work have risen him from a unmemorable scientist to the operations commander of one of the worlds leading supergroups. He consistently glows with an overflowing energy - which was granted (or inflicted, depending on opinion) to him by a supernatural, perhaps ancient power.
Shalice Tilman has yet to be officially discovered by the Phalanx, but she's quickly gaining a reputation for being an unbeatable psychic. She seems wholly disinterested in the whole hero scene, prefering instead to trick con artists at their own game with the help of her powers. Even though very few people in the past have gotten close to her, a certain member of the Freedom Phalanx has set his eyes on her.
The premiere super hero of the world, and one of the strongest men on the planet, if not the most. The founder of the Freedom Phalanx unofficially retired two years after the end of the first Rikti strike. Positron was made the leader of the Freedom Phalanx, and he handed over control of his "Longbow" reserve unit to his grand-daughter. Then he was free to set his sights on the diplomatic goal of uniting all nations of the earth against any global threats like the Rikti. Lately, the the threat of a less-than-friendly "Parallel Earth", has kept him up nights. -
Yes. Tyrants profile would be nice, so would some screenshots of the shiny new Praetorian designs. At the very least.
..and if marketing is responsible for the horrid pacing of information release, this is my thumbs down to them. -
I read their magazine once. Not a single mention of City of Heroes.
Barely any whisper on it within their site. Can't find their review of it.
I'm surprised that they decided to include us in their poll.
So, vote. Make them notice us.
I'm never going to buy their magazine or read their site too often, but put us on the map. -

I've been playing the same character for a long time. You just have to get out there and keep trying. I've been trying to get some more interaction with Belle since I have some time off, but I find that I'll still make mis-steps while trying to initiate or retain attention.
My main, Belle, started off life as more or less a blank character inspired by a mix of anime and video game designs and lore.
I've found that just taking a simple concept, and fleshing it out over time has worked the best for me. It seems like each time I try to craft an entire world around the character at the beginning, that I suddenly find that I'm not doing so well.
Just like everything else, it takes practice.
Just like real life, not everyone will like you or desire to interact with you. -
White hair, maybe a sword, tight black suit and those shoulder peices that sick close to the arms (grey/silver). Make him really thin. Minimize chin, cheeks, and nose, and shoulders. Pick a face that doesn't have stubble. White feathered wings, or maybe even demon or burned wings if you really want it to look crazy. Max legs. Folded or work boots.
Try that. -
Awesome! Mr. Rageyface wants to help with our boss farm! Mind if we doorsit while.. Hey, wait.. what are you doing?!
::camera goes static:: -
Keep it up! I really liked your "Monitor Duty" comic as well!

Trick Arrow/Sonic Defender, @Kyuu
Belle Barium. Short girl in a yellow dress, been heroing around Paragon for years. Her parents were scientists, and while she went to a harsh private school to follow in their footsteps, it didn't quite work out that way.
She says she got her powers through stolen memories of a mad scientist, but the deeper truth is known by her parents. It doesn't help that one is borderline crazy, and that Dad decided to flee to Praetoria.
Her longtime mentor is Dr. Forkenshpoon. Her partner is a mist dragon named Maelthra.
Her Praetorian self has already turned herself into a half-machine, and could possibly be on the Resistance. -
I think we can do one better. We should schedule a group shot at Blyde Square.
Fill the zone so much that there has to be a Steel Canyon 2.
Get well soon, Posi. -
Quote:Fixed.Apparently, I just need to get over it...
I just need to get over being a decent human being....
A few days ago, I am on a team where a member says "Hey, I am looking at pictures of naked children and jerking off, any thoughts?"
So I say, "I'm petitioning you, and I hope you get neutered.". -
It was one morning inside the house of very rarely used and neglected alts, a typical beginning of day routine. Perplexa was making boiling water on the stove, while Rocko Carley was squeezing his wide build through the doorframe, wearing the only shirt that would fit him. It was a huge orange tee, with the words, 'Warning: Flammable' on the front.
"Morning, 'Plexa.", Rocko murmured while picking put the glass of milk set there and picking up the paper. Today it wasn't the same two pages as was normal within the city, but within it, it had two brand new articles. This was the Sunday special, and kind of odd - since it was a Wednesday.
"Generic Statesman Clone Man Threatens to Leave Paragon City to Live in Detroit, Logic Thugs Resurge."
"Plexa, you ever managed to talk to your possible father yet?", he looked from the redheaded young woman, in several ways - she reminded him of Sister Psyche, or at least from what he'd seen in pictures. Yet, her pale skin and tendency to shock random things gave credence to her claims that her father was Captain Cracklehead himself.
"No. Some high-ended story consultant said that it would be a bad idea to explore themes of relationship in a storyline between certain characters.", and right on cue - she sent the tiniest shock onto the stove and it suddenly died out, leaving a puff of smoke from the range. "He threatened to one-star me if I ignored him.", she sighed and turned around.
"Screw him, just do what your heart feels.", Rocko said and reached for the box of Captain Content Flakes. He shook the light box, and found only the gritty remains of settled and broken cereal. "Bah. Didn't you make a store run, Plexa?", he started to reach for the other box, which was the box of Fluffy-O's.
"There was only one box of Captain Content left, and someone grabbed it before I could, Rock."
"But you're a speedster, Plexa!"
Plexa gave him a sour look, "I don't have my travel power, yet."
"Bah.", and it was then Carley poured the colored, sugary cereal on top of the flakes.
