Actually, I made a big booboo on the shuttles and couldn't get back to edit the post. D'oh!

Enterprise (Atmospheric testing only, prototype...wonder if it's in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum?)
    Columbia (R.I.P.)
    Challenger (R.I.P)
    Atlantis
    Discovery
    Endeavor
    (In no particular order.)

Someone once told me that the destruction of the Challenger is a generational hallmark. If you were old enough to remember it, you were on one side of a generational divide, and if you couldn't, you were on the other side. Dunno if that's true, but I can sure tell you where I was when it got destroyed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was gonna mention Challenger when I posted, but I remebered the other 4 first...then I went back to trying to remember the name of the game I mentioned and basically forgot. I am unsure if the Enterprise is in any of the museums or not, haven't heard of anything since It was first tested..

    [/ QUOTE ]

I am pretty sure the Enterprise is run as an exhibit by the Smithsonian, it is not on the mall, but at a seperate facility.

ok i guess i'm a noob to this "max time for making changes expiration date" on posts... what's up with that?

if i want to update something like my original post... do i just have to breakdown and make an entirely new post?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The easiet thing to do would be to hit the "quote " button on your original entry, remove the "quote " boxes and amend the entry.
  5. The thing about sprint might be jumbled up with the idea that leaving sprint on all the time at low level will kill your endurance in battles.

I am still surprised at the number of people who REFUSE to take sprint off in battle because it "makes me attack faster".
  6. The lamp goes out.

    Everthing goes dark.

Just the way Grues like it.

    Guide to CoX Zen

*The quickest way to acchieve debt is to say something along the lines of "allright finally out of debt"

*The target you chose to anchor darkest night, rad infection, etc will be the first to go down.

*ADDENDUM TO ABOVE*If your anchor is not the first to go down it will retreat across the entire map before you can shut off the power thereby aggroing the entire map, much to the dismay of your teamates.

You remember when computers had lots of flashing lights and big reels of tape.

You know what an 80 column punch card is.
    You ever programed in basic.
You nearly fainted the first time you saw an RGB moniter.

    Damn you are old!!!

    I resemble that remark.

    I'm not old, I'm youth-challenged.

You might be an old gamer if.....

    You ever owned an Intellivision.
    You know the game "microsurgeon"

If you know what The Keep on the Borderlands is.
If you ever thought 64k of RAM was awesome.

Far to much non-necessary hate out there, don't add to it.

As a wise person once said in broadcast (can't remember who) "Just because your a villian, doesn't mean you have to be a jerk."

Don't get so trapped into your way of doing things that you are not open to anything new.
  13. Good for you.

I have a female controller that gets that sort of thing occasionally. The worst was the guy that offered to "cyber" me. When I said "um I'm a guy"
    He said "that's ok"

    EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

*Did that hurt? Sorry man, took the wrong arrow. I was sure it was the healing one! Ah well... can I have you're stuff?*

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Stop it hurts.
  15. Do not offer unsolicited advice on a persons build, in which you refer to them as an idiot for picking a certain power or set. Don't get me wrong questions and discussions are fine, but if one more person tells my solo eng/eng blaster that he is an idiot for taking the medicine pool...... He took it because he soloes almost exclusively. There is an interupt in it so it can be used in combat and it works really well thank you.

If everyone had the UBER build, it would be a lot less interesting.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
[What do I look for in order to identify the "anchor"? So I know which one I'm not supposed to be hitting?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The best thing to do is to ask your controller before battle since different sets give different effects (dark or rad). The Achors glow (rad) brighter than the others or have a dark pool (dark) around them.

Another good way is to target the Controller at the beginning of battle, you will see his target and when he throws his attack you will be able to see what effect is generated on the anchor.

    Hope this helps.

Flaw in this statement: You NEVER get more than 100 end.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Haven't read the entire thread yet so forgive me if this has been said, when you get the atlas medalion you do get a bonus to endurance (only 5 points).
  18. Thank you, I am getting ready to take teleport for the first time. This is most helpful.

No one is trying to ram these binds down your throat. They are just here for you to try... and I do recommend that you try them.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh man I hope I didn't give you that impression.
I appreciate your work on these, I really do.
It's just that I am not that good at the logic end of binding (history major) and if something screws up it takes me forever to get it fixed.

I have tried to of the binds in ths thread (the first two mentioned) I couldn't get the first to work at all. After three hours of attempting to find my error, I gave up and tried a simpler one. That one worked but the controls were sluggish and it would occasionally just stop working. I am working my way through this post to find one that I like, but it is a loooooong thread.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
Interesting but I say use the KIS rule; Keep It Simple. Set up a bind to change between hover and fly and use the mouse for direction, space bar for going up. Set a bind to sprint and one to turn off hover/fly bind. Now you can fly anywhere you want even diagonal!

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yeah this is what I want to do. Working the kinks out now (not an great programmer). The Uber binds, while nice, seem to induce lag and twitchy controls, and invariably (maybe just for me) screw up at the WORST possible time.
