I have been saving up and am looking at a build that could use the 3% Def to allow some slots to slide around to improve offense and tighten things up while maintaining 45% S/L.
This build includes a couple of expensive things, obviously the 3% Def IO, but a couple of purple procs (as opposed to the full sets) and couple HO's.
Before I take the plunge, I'm looking for feedback.

Great observations! I didn't catch how bad the accuracy was in spots.
I worked something up based on your feedback. One point to note is that just adding one lotg def into weave and maneuvers didn't get me to 45, only 43.8 as it doesn't fully make up for the loss from Enfeebled bonus.

Dusted off an old Claws/Elec Brute, and I am looking to finish leveling him up and respeccing into a permanent spec.
My thinking with this build was to get to S/L cap while maintaining as much damage, energize uptime and power sink uptime as possible. I am sure that there is a way to slice it even better.
This is an "all around build" that currently includes no purples or HO's to start off with. I am already going to be getting hit a bit on all the KC's. Some purple's or HO's are cheaper than others by a long shot, but in addition to the cost, some purple sets would disrupt some key set bonuses, so a bit stuck there even if cheaper.
Also, my end use is a bit bad and I don't know how successful power sink will be to combat that. I do have around 50% uptime of energize which gives a discount, and helps counter it.
I am looking for any tweaks or feedback, as this is my first claws character this far, and first char with a resistance set for defense, so I am sure I bungled something =)

It looks good -- nice job squeezing out more recharge but keeping the other things in place. -
This is a Fire/Dark build with the following goals:
- No purples except for Absolute Amazement, because its so relatively cheap, and I happen to have it lying around from another character
- No PVP IO's (Someday, maybe!)
- Get to cap on S/L (and got Energy along the way)
- Attempted to drive up recharge as high as possible
- I am not quite thinking of Incarnate stuff yet, but cardiac(?) makes sense with the end use

Good catch on redraw.... looking at the powers, that would be the *only* thing with a weapon, so that would get annoying.
For giggles, I threw together what you suggested
- Repair swapped for Photon Grenade
- Slots parsed out to Repair, Repulsion Bomb and Super Jump (to compensate for a set bonus change from below)
- I price checked, and as you mentioned a few back, the price of stun purps are not too bad, so went for purple on Repulsion Bomb
- Also, since you mentioned global recharge seeming low, rejiggered things a bit to get it up to 65% from 50%, not earth shattering, but something
- I lost kismet 6% acc in this, however
- Range still capped, AOE to 44.6, but still at 43% acc.

I edited to include the data chunk. I am *not* in the habit of not including it, but I was on a different pc at home, and it was unchecked, sorry.
I am looking at your build to extract the key concepts, and will see what I can slipstream in. I like the concept of 3 attack powers from the APP/PPP.
The pet purps are easy to get, but those other purple sets are outside my price range right now, so I may do an "orange" version of some of your slotting ideas. -
Obviously, Bots/FF is a more defensive combo than some. I know that I am trading offense for defense, but I really do like FF in general, so I am trying to balance it out.
I have been slowly re-working my build to introduce a better balance of offense and defense based on playing with it in game and also some very much appreciated forum feedback so far!
Here is the latest round...
- I have range to cap with a protector bubble, but not the other positionals, this is my biggest concern.
- I would like to lower end use with everything up including Force Bubble even more, but that may have to wait for cardiac, which I am assuming will be my alpha.
- Based on my thread on bot slotting, I am happy with the bots

Ok, so you take both uniques into the battle drones, which makes some sense as they are less important, but as I stated earlier, I don't like the thought of losing that nice 3.75% to AOE from BM 5pc, *but* maybe its worth it.
Your Assault Bolt slotting is
47 ACC
85 DAM
79 END
vs mine
66 AC
96 DAM
- Both have the build up and smashing procs.
- Yours has Lower ACC, slightly lower dam, but END, which mine didn't have at all.
- I have the Resistance aura in Assault Bot, allowing me to have 5 PC BM set bonus in Drones.
Does the Assault Bot ever have end issues? That seems to be the rub.
I do really like your Protector Bot slotting, especially as you do it with 5 slots, freeing up a precious slot! -
The 2nd slotting was for the Assault Bot, "AB" for short, should have spelled it out... and at 96% that is hitting ED for Damage.

Which seems pretty balanced.
Based on the proc thread, for AB, you can do IO - Dam, Nucleous, Nucleous, SA: Build up, Explosive Strike: Chance for Smashing, Sovereign Right: Resistance and get
ACC 66.6
DAM 96
With a build up proc, a damage proc and the resistance aura.
Any thoughts on that? -

So, I am fine tuning my build, and I can't quite get a feel for "perfect" bot slotting. I think I have something reasonable, but would like some sage advice on tweaking it.
When I saw the prices, I was gung ho to get the purple set for the Assault Bot, but I don't like how the numbers actually look vs. frankenslotting.
Some reasonable ground rules are (unless I am missing something and correct me if I am making an error in reasoning)
- Have to get the 5% pet def unique in a pet somewhere
- Have to get the 10% pet res unique in a pet somewhere
- At worst, get the purple chance for build up in the AB
- I would like to get to ED for Def in protector bots to cap my mid 30's positional defs
- Optimal Accuracy and Damage for each pet given the other parameters
Right now, I have this:

- To fit more in AB, I could move the 10% res to BD alongside the 5% def i, but then I lose the very nice 5 pc 3.75% bump to AOE defense from Blood Mandate.
Any tweaks or ideas would be appreciated!

When you say "other procs as well" what do you mean? If one slots two procs, whats the optimum for dam/acc/rech for the 4 remaining -
At some point, I hope to start to be able to acquire purple sets. This is still a ways off but got me thinking about the fact that you can't just rush in and buy several sets of them (unless you start of with super inf pile). So, due to being more rare/expensive, I want to get them in the order that is most logical.
I am assuming that Gambler's Cut would be the optimal first power to get them into, due to it being the cornerstone of the max dps chain. Maybe next would come Golden Dragonfly?
Any other thoughts? Am I barking up the right tree? -

I have what I think is a nearly final version of a Kat/WP build. I am looking to actually break down and respec and start buying these, so any last feedback would be great!
The goal for this build was not to use Purple IO's or the 3% Def PVP IO's for now to get started. With DA I am capped on Lethal, and very close on E/N and Melee positional.

PS WP/WM above is a typo, but obviously you got the idea =) -
In a previous thread, I found and tried to tweak a WP/WM build I was interested in. Here, however, I wanted to get away from specifically asking for help with that build and focus on a broader principle.
With all the focus on "getting capped", I am confused about when it's "good enough" to say "ok I am not capped, but still pretty hard to kill" specifically regarding /WP. Keep in mind this is from a person who has not experienced playing a Brute at 50 and I am trying to get my build in order ahead of time.
The build in question went to 41.4 to S/L/E/N w/o PVP IO (44.4 with it). This was with 49.7% S/L res and 684-1115% Regen (depending on RttC targets).
Is 41.4% "good enough" for most content? Under what situations do you need to be at 45% enough to feel the difference? I am trying to figure out if I need to keep poking and poking and pulling to get to 45.

Sorry if this is a bit of an necro, but I was looking for a WM/WP build and stumbled on this.
I like the idea of having darkenst night and the Dark AOE, so I tried to see if I could tweak Twilight Snows build at all to get closer to capped.
- Without Gladiator's Armor 3%: I balanced S/L/E/N and got them evenly to 41.4 by getting a slot from IW into Gloom to allow Siphon Insight 5pc.
- if I ever could get a hold of a GA 3%: I could move the proc choice out of Dark O and into MoB, taking S/L/EN to 44.4, painfully close to 45.
- I went for a PS proc in Stamina
Any input on tweaks... or if I am even actually going in the right direction?

- Was still able to change for a proc in Hot Feet and keep at 45.5% S/L
- Moved a Basilisk's Gaze from Cinders to get Fissure down from 9.9 to 8.24 seconds
