Say it isn't so! When I was linking information about Entropic Aura to someone earlier I noticed that Synapse's name was no longer as red as the beating heart of Paragon Studios.

Has being in charge of powers claimed the soul of another developer? Or is it just some weirdness with the beta forums? -
It seems doing an activity that results in gaining xp will detoggle it. For a non 50 this is easy. On my level 50 it detoggled when I got an explore badge, but not when I killed anything. I'd suggest trying to acquire debt to see if that helps on your 50.
Edit: Scratch that. This issue will likely be fixed when they restart the servers in a few minutes.
Edit 2: Or whatever they need to do to fix it. -
Quote:If this is an apology for attempting to misrepresent the purpose of this forum in your previous post then I accept. From the description of this forum:
Gameplay / Technical Issues & Bugs Discuss gameplay / technical issues or bugs here! This is NOT a forum where official technical/QA support is available. For technical assistance email support@coh.com.
Quote:Also, it wasn't bugged in issue 20. It is bugged in issue 21. Therefore it is an Issue 21:Convergence bug.
Please feel free to explain why you have decided to turn this report thread into a personal crusade when I am trying to assist the NCsoft staff. -
Quote:All of these steps have already been taken. Thank you for the concern.Realistically, it doesn't matter. You can post here to see if other people are having the problem. You should really file a /bug report in-game to get the information to the correct people. Or, send Zwillinger a link to this thread so he can bring it to the attention of the proper department.

Quote:This is an utterly false statement.Try reporting it in the proper forum, instead of the "Ask other players for gameplay/technical help" forum.
I was not aware that the Tin Mage Mk. II Task Force was Issue 21: Convergence content. -
The Tin Mage Mk. II Task force is currently bugged in that the reward menu which offers a choice between 1 Astral Merit/10 Incarnate Threads/1 Super Inspiration does not appear upon completion. I have confirmed this to have occurred in two consecutive runs of the Tin Mage Mk. II Task Force.
To be clear only the reward menu is not appearing. The 40 Reward Merits are still awarded for completing the Tin Mage Mk. II Task Force.
As a side note, the Apex Task Force is unaffected by this bug in that the reward menu does appear upon completing the Apex Task Force as well as the 40 Reward Merits awarded. -
The first mission of the Lord Recluse Strike Force is currently bugged with a corrupted objective. When the first mission starts the normal objective of "10 chasers left" is now "0 chasers left" and no longbow chasers have spawned in the first mission.
Even if the other objectives are completed the "0 chasers left" objective remains. We disbanded and reformed a new LRSF and the objective was again corrupted to say "0 chasers left" hence the bug was repeated.
Please look into this as soon as possible. -

The whole point of my short answer was to not turn this into a CS lecture thread about how you're wrong.
I'm going to guess you want to mess up the thread over something that you thought you could harp on for some false sense of superiority. -
Quote:Yes. I have programmed games before.Have you seen the game code for CoH? Are you a programmer? If you can't answer yes to both of those, you can't reasonably make such statements about how long something will take. I'm not saying it absolutely wouldn't be that easy, but you can't just throw something like that out there with no supporting evidence or experience and expect it to be taken seriously.

Forgive the "definitions" in the first part. Based on my interactions with game masters in this game I have learned not to assume everyone knows what you're talking about when you start tossing initializations and acronyms around.
I came off of a Task Force(TF) run earlier this evening that began with an Statesman Task Force(STF). Unfortunately I couldn't get the random Hamidon Origin enhancement(HO) roll yet because of the 24 hour timer, I wasn't going to play another character, and we were moving on to do other TFs.
I left the reward table up as we did the next TF, and as it happens to turn out one reward table will overwrite another reward table meaning I ended up not getting anything from the STF when we finished the following TF. I also thought I had already passed the 24 hour timer limit, and I am not too put off by the loss of the reward. If I had access to knowing the specific time for which I would have become eligible for the HO, then I may have made a wiser decision. In my mind the HO reward was going to become available at any moment.
The information concerning rewards is already being tracked by the server. Creating a UI to list them inside the attribute monitor is a couple of hours worth of work, but that's what developers are paid to do. It would be immensely helpful to be able to track, specifically, rewards which access is blocked via the TF/Raid/Trial timer like the HO.
Others may appreciate being able to track when they are again eligible for full merit rewards on a TF or when they are eligible for the next Empyrean Merit from a Trial, or even when they are eligible for the next 10/10 Incarnate Shard to Incarnate Thread conversion. This can't be the first time something like this has been suggested, but I hope that developers will consider this for a quality of life improvement for Issue 21. -
Quote:This needs to be re-evaluated. Especially since developers have decided to give everyone access to Gravitic effectively re-implementing the "counters the fury mechanism" lame logic that was used to take ice armor and ice melee away before.“What if testing proves a set port didnt work en masse like ice brutes in CoV beta. They obviously made it through your internal testing and QA but in practice it was found they didnt work.
If something is found NOT to work, what is the plan?” – Plasmastream -
I outright reject the premise that the raid failed in any way. This is now the jello shooter party line for that raid and it is a lie.
Ura outright said that, "one stars tend not to get invited to task forces and such". This was the first threat. I countered by guaranteeing him equal, fair, and well-deserved treatment. Stalemate said, "they deserve what they get in return" and that he had no respect for people who take the time to actually understand how to play the game. Both of them implied that you could limit the gameplay of others as though you ran all of the task forces on protector which lead to my second reply. Both seemed to need a reminder as to how worthless this warning is.
Stalemate tried the typical shooter logic of trying to get someone to "confess" by setting up a falsely loaded question which contained "before I changed my forum handle". I have never changed it and I only come to the forum when a friend links me. It also wasn't my first priority to register on the forum when I first joined the game, and no, sir, we have not directly spoken to each other much over the years as I have intentionally avoided this. That is not because of who you are individually, but more a result of the small facet of protector from which you hail.
Blazing Blue came out to offer an "impartial" vouch for his fellow shooter. The irony is staggering. I reject his premise that it is somehow discourteous to start once the zone is full. I contend that it is rude and discourteous to those who have attended to not start and perhaps even have a second raid afterward once you finish early in the event that the zone is full as it was wednesday. This is an online game. You cannot govern the actions of others, but you can govern your own actions. To sit and expect others to wait on you is selfish and inconsiderate. Everyone should strive to try to get as much done together as possible in what little time our schedules match up. If people happen to be afk when we start killing pylons early then they can join in once they are back. People will always have to afk during the course of 50 people being together for the same event on an online game at any given interval. This is no excuse to make others who are not afk wait. -
Quote:The fact that you even think you stand in a position to limit what content we can play is indicative of the insufferable attitude which leads to people like you not being "treated with respect". You're right. Protector does have little tolerance for such attitudes. As I said, consequences. If they can't respect their fellow players (organizers and particpants alike) enough to wait a couple of minutes, they deserve what they get in return.
I couldn't care less, personally, if someone knew the game mechanics so well they were asked by the devs themselves how to play the game. In fact, most of the people I've one-starred were knowledgeable players who should know better.
If they know how to play so well then they have even less excuse to act with immaturity like this. The onus is on them, not the organizers.
Protector has very little tolerance for asshatery, but it will reward you richly when you honor your fellow players.
Trying to steal the spotlight for someone else's hard work and devotion to doing things right sounds a lot more like "unwarranted self-importance" in this light. -
Quote:Just sayin, threatening some of the most highly capable people on protector when it comes to doing endgame content with getting a bad rep and "one starring" them can have consequences. Unwarranted self-importance can work both ways.Just sayin, jumping in on a scheduled event and trying to take over because you are a Go!, Go!, Go! person is frowned upon and will get you a pretty bad rep here. One stars tend to not get invited to task forces and such.
This happened two weeks ago as well. Very poor manners on those who tried to take over, IMHO. -
Apparently people aren't making a big enough deal about this for there to have been a hotfix for it yet.
Recap:
1.) People who already have the power cannot use it.
2.) People who want to respec and take the power are locked out because you cannot take it.
This is day two of me being locked out of respeccing my dominator because you guys over at NCsoft broke the game. You've probably also made it unavailable for people who are trying to take it when they level up as well. -
I already bugged it ingame, but dominators who already have PFF can't activate it and they linked the wrong PFF power to mace mastery pool. It has the icon for the controller/mm PFF from the FF power set.
I was planning on doing a respec today, and you can't even re-take PFF upon respec. So much for that.
I highly suspect this to be related to the controller power pool changes. -

Will their effects stack? Or is it the same as having 2 Achilles' Heel procs go off within <10 seconds of the other? (IE: effect of the second is suppressed).

Quote:these are good points. i would also like to ask that the developers take these things into consideration.#1: Make spawning the zone much, much quicker. I don't want to grind for a half an hour just to start the event (and that's if Im lucky enough to be on a full team.)
#2: PLEASE give us something to accomplish during the five minute wait time that allows other players time to get into the zone but doesnt make the rest of us sit by, bored.
#3: PLEASE give the Lord Winter a unique look. Give all of the inhabitants of his zone a unique look. Make this feel more interesting and special, not just another version of what I can do in Pocket D instantly, without having to do all of the grinding, and as a coop team much easier.
the only thing i would like to add is scaling difficulty for the event based on the number of people involved or as an alternative option removing the time limit altogether. you can always make a post-defeat 30s or so countdown that will remove players from the zone. there aren't always 2 full teams, hero or villain, on a given server which are ready to go for this event.
with 8 people we "nearly" defeated lw. however we didn't. just a waste of time.
please take this into consideration, developers. -
i have always disliked the look of granite.
please change it. -
Cut the faux middle management dictate crap and get back to the thread.
Sincerely,
Random guy who thinks he is your boss. -
