  1. edit: With the board merge I should point out that this is an EU event.

    Hi all!

With all the new folks joining us lately I thought it might be nice to have a fun little competition for the newbie in all of us. In that spirit, I bring you: The Great Isolator Race!

In a nutshell, it's a race to see which brand new toon can get the Isolator badge first in the tutorial map "Outbreak". This is heroing at it's most basic - no enhancements, no travel powers, no vet powers - just you, your starting powers, and hordes of angry maniacs.

The rules are simple - you can pick any hero AT/Powerset you like with the exception of Peacebringer or Warshade and you're only allowed to use your two starting powers, brawl, sprint, and your origin temp - which means no Sands of Mu or Blackwand people! Toons are to be created directly before the competition starts to avoid cheating, and no teaming is allowed. Breaking the rules is punishable by disintegration. Or disqualification. I get the two confused. A squadron of peacebringers will be circling the hot zone to judge the event.

Players will gather at the starting contact, and when the judges give the signal they'll race into the hot zone and make with the punchies! When you get the badge, simple yell out "Bingo!" on broadcast and one of our judges will zoom down to check you. Yelling ahead of time is a no-no, if you yell and you don't have the badge, disintegration will soon follow.

The winner will be crowned "King/Queen of the Newbies" and will receive an exclusive costume code and a temporary title of their choice, generously provided by Avatea, second and third place will be known as "Duke/Duchess of Newbies" and will receive temporary titles of their own.

I hope you think this is a fun little event and will think about getting involved! I haven't settled on a date yet, I'll wait and see how much interest there is.

Oh, and maybe we'll have a good old fashioned costume contest afterwards.

I'll be starting signups as soon as there's enough interest, so if you'd like to take part, or help with the judging, let me know!

    Thanks all,
    Kid Snowflake.
  2. Was about to post this suggestion myself, my eyesight is not great, and I could REALLY use an option to make the cursor 2x size.

  3. Apparently trial accounts in WoW can send tells if the person you're sending a tell to has you on their friends list, which is not a bad idea. Maybe an auto responder that says "Add this person to your friends list to allow them to respon"?
  4. It's not exactly a fix, but I think if you go talk to her ahead of doing paper missions it adds her to your contacts so she isn't an option after mayhems.
  5. More unlockables = yes please. Let's have a guitar mace, a board with a nail through it, a tree branch with a toy car ala Jurassic, and more hammers!
  6. why must RMTs ruin everything? Ok, I'll settle for a message saying "soandso is on a trial account and cannot respond" when someone sends a tell to a trial account. I just hate being rude and not responding at all.
  7. I've been playing on a trial account on the US servers lately. Most of the restrictions make sense, but not being able to send tells makes me feel like I'm being rude to people by not replying, meaning I've spent a lot of time trying to track people down so I can reply in local chat. ^_^;

I think at the very least being able to reply to tells with a trial account would make life a lot less frustrating and help people to get on teams.

Hi guys, just a quick question - what was the date that the nuclear 90 were born? (ie, what's Fusionette's birthday. )

edit: rough guess on their age would be fine.

I could be sure I've seen this somewhere, not sure if it was in the Freedom Phalanx book or Web or Arachnos....might have been an on line source, I'll read the books again just in case

Edit: Healer Kid is supposed to be one of them as well, though I'd need to log him in to check if I've put an age in, in game he's supposed to look younger than he really is

Further Update: Just logged in and checked ID, myself and a few other Nuclear 90 characters I have seen via Wiki ect seem to regard teh nuclear 90 to be in their 20's making their birth year somewhere in the 80's

Early 20s or late 20s? Also, got any links to these other N90 characters? I've just started one myself, which is why I'm asking, it'll be interesting to see what other people have done with the concept.

Just ordered those CoH books btw, even if they don't have the info in, they're bound to be an interesting read.

    NPC,s in bases

My base has several places that look like they SHOULD have npcs in, but don't. I'd love a receptionist, inventory clerk, cook, doctor, engineer etc.
  11. I'd love this, or more events like the burning buildings or superadine raids. The idea of hellions attacking or gang wars sounds like great fun. More chances to play the hero are always appreciated.
  12. Sure, I could totally get behind that. The XP modifier perhaps not, but the rest of it seems really cute.

Definitely, I'm constantly running out of space.
