  1. My start page is a simple HTML file on my hard drive, with links to sites I visit. I say simple, but it has tables and some custom CSS... >.> I also don't visit about 99% of the links on it anymore... <.<

But I digest. Er... digress. I have a link to that, and to the Dev Digest, as well. (That was the English version of the Community Tracker I linked to, BTW...) .

To be totally honest, though, I don't use the start page links much since I modified my Quick Links menu, and included them there... Customization FTW!!
  2. You have hunger pains from the infestation devouring your intestinal lining and making transdimensional interfaces into visual companions while enjoying pickles soaked in prune extract overnight betwixt thousands upon thousands of gleaming spectacles vomiting extremely vile copious bile onto unsuspecting sentient cockroaches, which oddly feels like a hot roast beef/salmon entering a very cavernous mouth, and stimulates frenzied ferrets in perpetual, harmonized, synchronized, and, ironically,
  3. Before Ouroborus, it was the ONLY option for those who missed it in the Tutorial.

And at least the option existed. Before Ouroborus, any Villain who missed the Jailbird badge was S.O.L.
  4. Put the video on my pathetic MP3 player (Sansa e250), took it to work, and showed it to a co-worker whom I'm always talking about the game to.

He liked what he could see... Stupid small screen...

Say, that's a good idea. Be sure to let us know the results!!

I do know that if you use Abandon Mission on Radios/Newspapers, you'll get a fresh list of Three Choices...
  6. This page is your friend. Visit it every day. Multiple times a day.
  7. If you feel comfortable doing so, delete the CohTest folder, and then remove the registry entries for CohTest, as well. At this point, it probably can't hurt...

  9. My main Hero will be staying a Hero, though I have plans to take her to Vigilante, as I can make it fit with her background. Unless, of course, going to Vigilante removes any chances of getting the perks for staying true to being a Hero. The same goes for my main Villain and being a Rogue.

Aside from that, while I'm not sure what, yet, I plan to make a new Hero and Villain badger that will switch sides as needed for badges.

    Issue 17: Badges

I dunno who it was from Guardian who said that, but I'm from Guardian, and I can say that when it comes to the Mo Badges, we're very relaxed. We don't care who has them or who doesn't, what AT anyone is, or anything like that.

In general, an Mo run is planned by someone, they start a thread about it in the forums, and have a sign up there, along with reserves signing up. One of our players, Ariel' by name, started a thread, and it took 5 or 6 tries, week after week, before they managed to run a succesful MoBarracuda. That was followed by a MoKhan, and then an MoITF. The entire time, there were no hard feelings when they missed it by 1 death.

We have another guy, Swift I think, who will take anyone on a MoSTF, and from what I've heard, he always manages to complete it.

Currently, Pyber is running nightly ITFs, and if enough people want it to be a Mo run, it is. If it fails, oh well. There's always the next night.

I was on an attempt at a MoBarracuda, and someone died before the first mission was over. We just said, "Oh well", and restarted. We still failed the Mo run, becasue quite a few of us died in the last mission, but we didn't care.

I was on an attempt at a MoITF. I died in the 2nd mission (or whatever one the one with lag hill is). The healer said, "Sorry. My fault. I wasn't paying attention." We shrugged it off, and went on. That was the only death we had.

As I said, when it comes to the Mo badges, we're very relaxed on Guardian. As a matter of fact, we're pretty much relaxed about everything we do. I've yet to get a single Mo badge, but I know that eventually, I'll have a chance, and I'll get them.
  11. I stumbled upon it while looking for something totally different... >.> I stayed for the boobies... <.<
  12. It's amazing what secrets the interwebs holds, isn't it? >.>
  13. No problem. Glad you figured out what the problem was.

  15. At any point, did you get a pop up at the log in screen telling you your video card can handle Ultra Mode? If you did, and clicked the option for full on Ultra Mode, it can slow the bacon out of your card...

I was keeping my Test install updated, and trying to see if I was in the DB for the majority of the DB (until I got in near the end), and when they added that prompt, I chose the full Ultra Mode option. Then, I got the problem you're describing.

In order to fix it, I ended up dealing with the slowness of logging in, chose an empty slot, made a new Hero with no costume, went to the Tutorial, and turned off all UM settings. Cleared it right up. Then, I spent some time tweaking things to work for me.

Note that FSAA and Ambient Occlusion don't seem to play well together. And for me, I had to turn both off, or I'd lag like mad.

Under the 'account info' area, it shows my total paid time as 1 year 10 months, and my vet reward time as 2 years 1 month. But under the 'veteran rewards' section, it shows me having all the badges up to 39 months. And not only that, but it gives dates for all of them, starting with 39 months today, and going back every 3 months from there.
    Did you read the sticky?

  17. *struts into thread*

Welcome home, Cel!! We've missed ya on Guardian.
  18. Weclome to City of Heroes, Emmierose!! Have some bacon!!

You can also hold down the right mouse button, and rotate the camera with it. That takes a pretty steady hand to keep from messing with your Vertical angle...

If you find you've moved your Vertical angle, you can reset it by targeting something, pressing [F] to Follow, and while running towards it, press [B] to enter First Person Mode, then immediatly pressing [B] again to leave First Person Mode.

    Updated 16 April 2010.

All the links should now bring you to the first post in each guide. I updated the user names of the authors of some guides. Twilight_Snow found the "missing" guides by The_Red (who is now runothered), Tempest_56, and Smurphy. I also added her FM/EA Guide.

The powersets are now in alphabetical order, and have an icon beside their name to help people who do better with a visual representation of a powerset.

With the exceptions of Claws and War Mace, every powerset now has at least two guides.

Issues are colored similar to the game's Consideration System: [I16] is white, [I15] is blue (cyan, actually, so that it will show up on the Hero skin), [I14] is green, [I13] is grey, and [I12] and all issues before it are black.

    Issue 17: Badges

From what I've read, it does...
  21. Make sure you stay away from the site on Wikia. Not only is it not maintained by actual players, but Wikia has become infested with virus' and trojans in their banner ads.
  22. Well, I guess that answers the questions. Thanks for the info, Avatea!!

    Issue 17: Badges

Oh, I see. Now I gets it.

Personally, I enjoy the revamp so much that I won't mind running it with other characters to get the Accolade. OTOH, now that it's truely soloable via Flashback... decisions, decisions...

    Issue 17: Badges

Why? You'll have to run the new one if you want the two new badges associated with it, so why not wait for the new, improved, fun version? *confused*
  25. Yay!! Thanks, Twilight!! Hugs, Lurv, & Bacons for you!!

Updated my last listing of the guides. Now I need to reformat the thing... @_@
