Due to some screenshot posted and I believe part of the presentation we were exposed to, a la i21, I was curious if anyone was able to say for sure, whether or not all mission contacts will permanently have the yellow arrows above their heads, or if those can be shut off via menu option per alt.
I understand new players will perhaps need some more handholding to locate folks, but given the new 'teleport to contact feature', I was also hoping the arrows were a visual option. Maybe Null shuts them off? Just wondering. -
Just wanna throw in my support for this request. I too have used the eye plugs, but I notice details and it does bother me. Yes there are workarounds, I'd just like there to be a primary item for it.

I agree that certain other items should be added to the Free Player experience, but I disagree with some of the ones you suggested for various reasons.
I think more retention would be achieved if they added :
1- Global channel per server or 1 global channel across all servers in the default start up window tabs,besides 'Help' and with a larger max population limit, geared toward players LFT. CoX is still an instanced game an I think the Free player experience is too limited wrt in game communication, as stated in current plans.
2-I can't remember if Free players have access to Broadcast, but if not, they should at least get that, except in Pocket D and those of us who are afraid what that would mean, ask yourselves how much you use Broadcast now and if you know how to put folks on ignore. IMO it's a risk vs reward thing for the game.
3- I agree with regards to Supergroup membership, to a certain extent, they should be able to join and use the items in the base, except for storage. They gotta pay for something. -

With the addition of the backpack slot in game, I suggest the first general free for all backpack, be a static, non animated version of the Steam Jump jet. As someone who bought the pack, I have no problem with a non-animated version being added as a static costume piece for all to use.
Let's face it, it's a nice costume piece. -

I'm happy for most of the new stuff =D . Good an sorta 'free' stuff.
I do worry about those persons who don't want a particular buff, i've got a couple friends like that, as they have computer issues when they receive certain buffs.I suppose in the short term macros will be a buffers friend, to advise the team of what's goin on, though I still would hope there's a menu option to disable an aoe buff...I can dream =p -
Subjective Feedback :
The baked in gold/brass colours , for the boots /gloves etc... while great in theory and good as an option for us, should be accompanied with one where we can change those colours as well, i.e. allow for secondary colouring. Flexibility is key and I think I didn't realise the lack of this, the first time I looked at the pieces. -
Devs hate Pinnacle!

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned as yet, so I will. Since you'll realise, CoH/V is a very instanced game and so, there may be more ppl around than you realise,which is why Global chat channels are so valuable. Each server has at least 1 global chat channels, that aids in forming teams , Task Forces and just chatting and you may find it quite useful.

OK..so It's about 3am here and by all rights I should be asleep, but I got up and figured I'd check out the Steampunk stuff on Test.
First Off- Let me add that I would like to see the female models get the same coats etc, that the male body types do. And the clock /sash belt, I mean without the frilly stuff in the back , it's perfectly acceptable for a male alt. Anyhoo.
Secondly- omgwtfbbq. Each piece of these costume sets.. just blew me away. I'm a fan of mixing an matching parts to feed my um.. superhero clothes horse habit and well dangit, this puppy just hit it out of the park!! Of all the packs I've seen done in the recent past, this one has to have the most versatility, with respect to individual pieces. If you didn't catch it as yet, I'm sayin' 'win'.
Thirdly- Been telling my buddies that I couldn't see that much of a difference in the 'face-tech' in the trailer and was willing to see how it looks in game. YEAP. Outta the park. Faces look wonderful and it's obviously an improvement. They do look a tad , bright, but I can work with that.
Fourthly- Auras, ccemotes, effects of the powers .. listen closely ..you are on a frikkin roll. Love em! And yea about the aura.. um. Potential...so so much. If, at some point, we get auras that were solidified, heck it could act as ...well a lot.
One thing I didn't care for though , was the loudness of the special power's effects. I just think that could get annoying really fast, when you've got everyone om an area, keeping it on.
Anyhoo... I'm goin to bed. Nice job on the pack folks! -
