This is a game, not a democracy.

This is more like a sport then a countries policiy on equality and free rights.

Games have rules which you abide by. If someone breaks them you don't turn around and say "Oh but its their football league, let them play how they want!"

Ok, I know that AE is not "breaking the rules". I'm not saying it is. But if it goes against the "spirit of the game" then perhaps the regulaters, or the devs, need to step in and bring the game back to what it was originally intended to be?

Ok. Now explain to me what is the "spirit of the game". How someone should know it when they join the game? The question is that most forum ragers throws tantrums telling the devs to remove AE, restrict AE to level XX or to veteran badge YY, or to remove/limit/cap/change AE´s rewards, and that to conform to their playstyles and views. They are actually trying to change things to what only they, on their "holy morality state of being" are worthy to do.

The AE was a big change to the game, and it was wondrous. It is wondrous. And it works as it was designed. The way it should work, giving us the way to create what we want.

Get the farm makers slots. Make then loose it. Slowly the farms will be corrected. But be very carefull about what you report, for whats a farm for one, may be a deadly trap to others.

I am not questioning if the players should Abuse or not. What makes me sick is the tantrums of some people on the forum, posing as "enlightened", and judging that only they have the right to play as they want, and that their way is the only way.

And dont tell me about real world inequities. I actually live on a Third World country, where less than 5% of the people has 99% of all PIB, where families of 5, 6 persons survive with no more than $100 per month of FAMILY income. Where corruption abounds and crime thrives. I also work with the third sector, and I see things that really makes me even physically sick (not even touching the emotional effects of it).

What i dont agree is the "they need to learn". Nobody needs to do anything.

I dont care about farming. I actually cant stand more than 1 run of any kind of farming mission, be it normal content or AE. I play mostly TFs. From time to time i go hunting on the AE for something funny.

Its the attitude of some people, always trying to say that theirs is the only truth, and that their vision of the game is sacred and cant be stained by the AE. People that "decide" that they "know" whats best for everyone.

Thats what makes me sick.

I opened a petition a few days ago.

The GMs (two) were very nice to me... and even said that they called a Dev to see my problem. They asked me to not leave the map.

It was kind of nice having a Dev looking me... I decided to believe it was BABs... I know that it wasnt his field of action the particular bug that was affecting me... But as he is my favorite Dev, i prefer to believe that he was the one poking me... ^_^

My defeat-all extravaganza was made for me... I have fun with it, i play it, and i pay for the slot where it rest.
I am actually amazed that some 40 or so people played it and even liked it... The maps are huge, the enemies are lethal and custom.

I used the email system. Mostly when a friend and I were playing on different sides, and one of us forgot to set the permissions on the options... We used the emails to remember ourselves about that...

I also talked with a few other friends on it, when we werent connected on different hours.

Then came the first waves of spam. Slowly the legitimate emails were drowned... First i reported all the spammers. Now... i just dont care. For me the Email button is now always red. Red as in: Dont touch - Poisonous.

A toggle of "only accept emails from Global Friends" would be... perfect!

And to the OP. Sorry if i was kind of aggressive. Its just that sometimes i get angry about people complaining for things that, actually, were discussed and talked, and modded. Mod 8 even opened an official farming thread so this is to be discussed there.

All this talking is getting on my nerves, specially because, well, it may be a limitation of my part, but i dont see the AE as a problem. Its a wonderful tool. It lets me vent my creativity. I found some awesome arcs there. And the farmers have next to 0 impact to my gameplay, as I play mostly with my friends, and we do everything, from TF to regular arcs to MArcs.

When I get into the very rare mood to farm, I still prefer my freaks farm from PI.

Point is: No one is affected by farms if they dont let it affect then. To me, it means nothing at all. I let people farm and go about my business as usual, being as crazy and lost as I always am... (and... believe me... nobody gets as lost as I can do... I can get lost into a straight line, open area small map)

Just have fun. If something isnt fun to you anymore, maybe its you that need to change, not the world.

Hmm... I have an arc with 3 defeat alls...

I see that arc as a endurance test. If you can run it, congratulations.
If not... no problem. It was supposed to be tiresome. And its advertised on the description. So if you are in, its your decision. You knew you arent in an easy ride.

Most of times I play it alone. I like it. I like the challenge of hunting every single enemy, the adrenalin pounding as the missions come and get smaller and smaller... and at the same time harder and harder... And a few friends always ask me to call then when i get to the 4th mission... because its kind of different and they like the epic theme on it. Well, they dont need to grind the arc. I do it and call then when its time...

Why? because Kay is crazy...
