In game terms, she's a mutant origin martial arts/willpower scrapper. In character terms, she's a second generation heroine, who inherited her mother's mutant powers - enhanced strength, speed, endurance, resistance to damage, and flight. She prefers using martial arts instead of just punching and stomping on people, feeling it's more respectable, and she's better able to control her strength doing so.
Eventually I plan on doing a VirtueVerse page for her, but so far the writing itch hasn't really gotten fully developed yet. I may need to find some RP groups so I can find her voice a bit better.
EDIT: I also whipped together a fake comic book cover for her on the spur of the moment earlier today. -
Ah, yes, I remember when gear score was announced. And as I recall, I just added it to the pile of reasons that I'm glad I don't play WoW.

*looms his BattleMech into view*
*looks at the pool*
Yeah... there might be an issue here. -
Bah. Fire takes to long. Clear the field!
*grabs the targeting stick for his 'Mech and carefully, oh-so-carefully, lines up his shot*
FIRE IN THE HOLE!
/me pulls a trigger, and one of the two Bright-Blossom extended-range medium lasers mounted on his 'Mech's left arm sends a beam of bright emerald energy at the tofu, vaporizing it. -
*sees Eat_Me's gear*
*grabs neurohelmet and sprints out to waiting Centurion BattleMech, which he brings to life with a typed command and a spoken passphrase*
Someone get that woman her coffee, for the love of God! -
*is still sprawled across a couch, fast asleep from yesterday and still dressed in MechWarrior togs, and with the Centurion still parked outside*
*twitch* *snerk* Gyah...
*snaps upright, and rubs his eyes* Whoa. That was a long nap. -
/me parks his modified Centurion BattleMech outside the Rookery before staggering in, clad in the traditional cooling vest, shorts, and combat boots of a MechWarrior, and his neurohelmet carried in one hand.
Blarg... need sleep. Or intravenous administration of caffeine.
/me collapses on a handy piece of furniture and attempts to stave off unconsciousness for a few more hours.
(And because I can, for those that may care, I present the technical readout of my personalized Centurion.)
Code:BattleMech Technical Readout Type/Model: Centurion CN9-X Tech: Inner Sphere / 3067 Config: Biped BattleMech Rules: Level 2, Custom design Mass: 50 tons Chassis: Corean Model K7 Standard Power Plant: 200 GM XL XL Fusion Walking Speed: 43.2 km/h Maximum Speed: 64.8 km/h Jump Jets: 4 GM Jetstar Standard Jump Jets Jump Capacity: 120 meters Armor Type: StarGuard IV Ferro-Fibrous Armament: 4 Diverse Optics Sunfire ER Medium Lasers 1 Mydron Tornado Rotary AC/5 1 Harpoon 6S Streak SRM 6 Manufacturer: Corean Enterprises Location: New Avalon Communications System: Corean TransBand-J9 Targeting & Tracking System: Corean B-Tech ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== The Centurion was originally designed to compliment the Trebuchet fire support BattleMech. To allow the Centurion to perform this duty, it was equipped with a heavy and varied arsenal that allows it to strike at enemy units at a variety of ranges. The top speed of the Centurion is 64.8 km/h. While this is slower than the Trebuchet that it guards by 22 km/h, it is capable of keeping up with most fire support 'Mechs and the Centurion has made a reputation for itself as a front line combat 'Mech. In order to keep up with demand, Corean Enterprises licensed the design to Jalastar Aerospace in 3047. ==Capabilities:== Another one-off variant of the venerable Centurion that first appeared on Solaris VII, the CN9-X started life as a CN9-D5 built by Corean Enterprises on New Avalon. Bought from a folding stable, it was modified, removing the C3 slave unit and MASC. The armor was upgraded to ferro-fibrous and the expensive endo-steel internal strucure was replaced with one of standard materials as a cost-saving measure. An additional pair of Diverse Optics extended-range medium lasers was added to enhance its mid-range firepower and to help minimize the 'Mech's dependence on ammunition-based weapons. For increased mobility, a set of jump jets were added, enough to allow it to move just about as fast in the air as it did on the ground. This model saw some success in the Solaris medium circuit, and limited numbers of 'Mechs along this design were built and sold to a handful of mercenary groups, as well as the AFFS for testing and evaluation. ==Battle History:== ==Variants:== One proposed sub-variant, CN9-X2, would replace the 'Mech's ten double heat sinks and replace them with single heat sinks, and then replace the standard myomer bundles with triple-strength strands, to enhance the 'Mech's movement capabilities while in combat. This has the significant drawback of the 'Mech becoming much more susceptible to the dangers of heat overload, such as 'Mech shutdowns and ammunition explosions. -------------------------------------------------------- Type/Model: Centurion CN9-X Mass: 50 tons Equipment: Crits Mass Int. I've never run one. So... I guess I'll say I did the run in under 15 parsecs and leave it at that.
(Sorry, sleep madness has me in its grip, so my posts are likely to be rather inane. Well, more inane than usual, at any rate.) -
*notes the Rookery hasn't opened yet, and thus goes in to activate the various appliances, protein resequencers, replicators, beverage dispensers, and other assorted parephenalia*
Haven't done this in a long time. -
Modern Samurai will be there. I even made a note of this on my Droid.
-
I know it happened in Marvel's universe. Not sure if it happened in DC.
Though I would note that, as I recall, the American Legion (supergroup, not RL organization) has an event planned for that day - perhaps we should attend there in our old characters? -
All right, all right, stop the sketch, it's too silly.
-
Sorry, Falco. But when it comes to this thread, resistance is futile.
-
I am shocked at some of the puns flying through this thread.
...
Oh goddammit. -
I'm starting to show signs of life again in this game, especially with GR. I'll have to make a note to jump on Modern Samurai for the next one of these.

*clears throat*
KHAAAAAAN!!!
...
It had to be done. You know it. I know it. Move along. -
Actually, you know what, seriously screw it. Sign Modern up for EVERYTHING! (I wants that 50... wants it, precious...)
-
*slips back in from Millenium City and/or the New Eden star cluster*
Need... caffiene... *gasp* *wheeze*
(Dammit, I hate pulling all-nighters. My sleep schedule never stays un-screwed with, anyway...) -
Oh, what the hell. Count me in for "Time's Arrow."
Modern Samurai
@Kant_Lavar
46 levels of Katana/Regen semi-suicidal scrappery goodness. -
Yeah, I'm back again.
Anyway, after logging on a few days ago and remembering that Modern had gotten to 46, I really do want to get him those last few levels. So, with that in mind, anyone have any good ideas as to what would be a good way to do so? Note that when I say "good" I think more in terms of "fun" as opposed to "quick and easy." And I'm not adverse to re-running TFs if there's good ones to do, I just suck at putting together teams. PvP ditto, I just can't make any claim to being more than middling fair at it. -
Well, I have one in That Other Superhero MMO - she was yanked out of the timestream for training as a sorceress back in the early 19th century. And here I had an idea for a mecha pilot from the future getting yanked back by some inverse subspace polarity field or somesuch. I also had the idea of a future costume being a rebuilt battlesuit and starting them out in their version of a flightsuit.
