As the organiser of the Unofficial CoH UK Player Meet, I'd really like to continue doing them if people are interested. Although they'll be more a player reunion, so folks can stay in contact and meet up every once in a while. I'll find a way of posting about them somewhere!
Everyone from Paragon Studios will be more than welcome to turn up to one, if they're ever over in England at the time. (That includes the one 8-9th September

I'm kinda hoping to perhaps just run a 'generic meet' of some kind next year, although no idea as yet where I'd advertise it. Will have to wait and see. But I'd like to stay in contact with everyone. -
May you never run out of hats, and they all keep you snug and warm and never blow off your head in high winds.
I will still be running the UK Player Meet this year. Hopefully we'll manage to all do a song and dance routine before we go. (If you've not seen it from the first Player Meet I did... it's HERE )

As for the costume competitions, we held them on one of the empty-ish US servers last year (I forget which one), but at 3pm UK time it was practically dead. For this year, we might use either Vigilance or Zukunft depending on how many slots folks have spare - you only need 1 as we first do a "Hit the random button till you get something so ugly it makes you feel sick" costume, then you can delete that one and compete in the "Hit the random button till you get something so fantastic, it's amazing" costume .

Looking forward... okay, nervous as hell, but looking forward to seeing you all again this year, and hopefully a load of new faces too.
Gangrel and I should be travelling down on the Friday (7th) and probably popping in to The Square Peg (the Wetherspoons pub opposite the old Omega Sektor building) for a drink. If anyone wants to join us either drop in and look for the folks that look like gamers, or leave a forum message and we'll keep an eye out for you. The regulars should have my mobile number from previous years lol :P -

I'd love it if we could just use the movie theatres dotted around The Rogue Isles and Paragon as a meeting place, as in go through the doors and just use the foyer of the cinema similar to how we can with Monkey Fight Club in Sharkshead. No event, just the foyer itself to hang out in and eat popcorn

Yesterday they put up a grand total of 42 EU codes (that's including the ones that went up at 6am this morning GMT). They stopped posting EU codes around 10pm GMT after only posting 27 of the things!
They put up well over 300 US codes by the look of things (I stopped counting at 259 when I went to bed around 2:30am). -
My offerings (all available on Virtue as of 3pm GMT)
Character 1 - Cryo Brain
Character 2 - Umbral Moon or Gossamer Shadow
Character 3 - Poker Heat - as in 'packing heat' in reference to the guns.
I'm also not bothered about the reward if you do want to use any of the names

NCSoft actually still have an office in Brighton, contrary to popular belief. The EU Marketing team is based there.

Sorry for being rather quiet of late!
As far as I'm aware, the player meet is still going ahead, however due to Global Gaming being unavailable for September (as they're moving to larger premises: which will be good for next year!) I am currently waiting to hear back from an alternative venue in Birmingham.
I'm also waiting to hear back from NCSoft and Paragon Studios on the logistics/possibility of turning one of the conference rooms at one of the hotels in Birmingham in to a mini-con/gaming room type thing. However, if they're unable to help out I will unfortunately be forced to cancel.
As soon as I know the details of the new venue I will let everyone know. If, for whatever reason it becomes un-feasible I'll post.
Sorry for not keeping everyone in the loop, it's been rather stressful, and as a few of you know I'm in and out of hospital a lot. -
I hardly ever team, and then usually only with people that know me fairly well, due to the fact I'm disabled and have to take frequent afk moments, not to mention having problems with concentration due to the meds I take, which if I'm in a random team usually don't go down so well. I hate letting the team down, so for 99% of the time I solo.
I was really looking forward to this event, but now I'm going to be forced to team I'm not so sure about it any more. I'd feel better if the option were at least there to solo it, with a choice of NPC's for the other parts.
Oh well. -
The only thing I'd like to know at the moment is, how long before i23 goes live?
I realise that by not giving a time frame it'll make people that can afford to purchase more points 'panic buy' so they get the entire set, but... it'd still be nice to have some advance warning of weeks/days or a rough estimate of 'next month' or whenever. -
I find using the PrtSc and then Ctrl-V in to good old Paint works every time Then you just crop as necessary
