I was bored, so I decided to count all of the separate City of Heroes characters I've drawn over the years. I excluded all of the NPCs and made sure to count the Art Whores only once (TA, Comrade, BHC, Thorn, NN - you know who you are)...
and came up with the number 334.

City of Comrades - What if the City of Heroes game was created in the Soviet Union? Perhaps it'd be advertised like this. All characters belong to other people in the game. From left to right - Orwellian, Ruslana, Comrade Hero, Tanya Litvyak, Soviet Proletarian - hope you (and they) dig it. -

Hey all, I'm thinking I might do up a Russian/Soviet themed piece next month, and was wondering if anyone had some super kool themed characters that I could use.

Yeah, you'd be surprised at how a well done character concept/screenie can influence an artist.

Sounds smart. That's what I've been doing it for. My first piece this year was a panel shot - my weakest area. I did it for me. Friends jest with and take jabs at one another all the time. Assuming that these boots were meant to be his I would take it as gentle poke at how closely he guards his character, not as an insult. It would seem like the good natured fun friends have at one anothers expense all the time... I would think that if insult was intended that it would have been a lot more obvious and noticeable...
*shrug*. Thank god most people have a sense of humor or Pyro would have been lynched by now.

Here's my entry
City of Sin - I'm not sure why, but I've never really seen Ghost Widow take hold of her spider mantle. I figured it'd be cool to see he siphoning off the Heroes' strength for her own future brood.
I had some problems with the perspective on this one, but overall, it has the vibe I was going for.
