Quote:If that's the case, then so be it. Like I said, I've never met him. If you or someone you know has... ok.From the tales I hear, the reason people rag on Rob is because he's a genuine a**hole in real life as well. One who apparently doesn't actually make it well in the business because he owes a lot of people a lot of money. Combine that with the bad quality of work here and you've got a recipe for trolling.
Sometimes I wonder though; what comes first? The bad attitude, or the bad rumors. Because one can often spawn the other.
Quote:hes got websites devoted to people hating him...
hes got people saying hes a pain in the *** to work with..
..for some reason, I havent found anything of the same for stan lee or most any other
of the image artists... just him..
..what PISSES me off is that, that spot hes in.. deserves ta be given ta a better, more deserving artist/human being.
..if I see a cockroach, running on the ground... im gonna think.. "wow, he must be a good father for raising so many kids".. and THEN im gonna squish him, cuz hes gross and creeps me out..
Leifeld is a turkey, hanging out in the swans area of the pool.. someone needs ta take the turkey out and find a nice swan ta replace it..
..Leifeld has the same magic aura that Seth Rogen has...
where as Seth Rogen can be funny and charming while not actually doing anything funny and charming... Leifeld can be an artist while not actually doing anything artistically pleasing..
sometimes people NEED ta be the little old lady with the bible in hand, and poke out there winkled fingers at anything they see is wrong and shout "EEEVVVIILLL!!!"

Comparing the guy to a cockroach seems a bit much, no? -
I'm glad you posted that link Bayani, because that's exactly what I had in mind when I posted above. Some people just spend too much time on the man.
And as to your comment about him being a good guy... I've never met him, but by all appearances, he looks like a loving father and decent chap.
Far too much hate for the sake of hate, on the Internet sometimes. -
Quote:I've run into this before. Some people want FULL control over how their character is portrayed.I don't get the refusing of free arts... I totally get the not asking or begging for them but refusing? *shrug* whatever... It's not like one would be forced to use the image created or anything yet could end up amazingly pleased...

I don't that it's possible, but I understand the reasons behind it. -
I'm not sure what annoys me more; Leifeld's odd anatomy issues, or people constantly harping about him.
-
I've enjoyed watching some of your 'back issues'
-
Funny you mention her, because I was just looking at the pic of her from the DD she got, and thought she was stunning.

This is awesome.
I know that many people are keying on the proportions and such - especialy Juggy's size, but that doesn't phse me all that much. I remember reading a lot of comics in my life that took different approaches to heroic proportions - and to me, that's how this peice sits.
Thanks so much TA, my birthday is next week, and I think that this will be the best gift I get. -
I love how grand they both are, but as others have mentioned, the perspective Shia used sets his apart.
Vote: Toxic Shia. -
Cool piece Eddy - I colored it up a year or so ago - his lines are so cool.

I'm glad ya did this. I actually had trouble finding references of your character when I drew her.
-
i actually like to see people's characters in their sigs. Sometimes I'm hunting around for some practice, and would like to give long time posters a gift.
-
I'm always impressed by the solid advice people have here.
A lot of the replies are from people who have started off like you - good luck on your first piece. -
Quote:Oooh, thanks for the information, guys.I had to look up all the drama... that explains why Ultimates 3 took forever to be out. I thought my comic shop was in the Twilight Zone for a minute there.

Aggelakis: Yeah, I'm not saying anyone should put any stock in it, but this is the quote I was mentioning.
http://kindredconcepts.com/
"I'll also be working steadily to complete the last few commissions in my MMOART queue, and putting the finishing touches on that new site layout as well."
But the date on that speaks for itself.
Deebs: I don't think you're being too harsh. I think that ANY TIME someone takes another person's money and then does not deliver, they're opinion for some harshness. I had hoped that MMOART had settled all of its old 'accounts', but obviously not.
Sad. -
Quote:http://kindredconcepts.com/It does? Where?
Of course, that's just me being cynical. You probably mean his mention of 'new art'.
The site seems down right now, but I could have sworn that the first entry mentioned clearing up some old commissions.
